ENGLAND LIT TRIP

I'm going to London! I CAN'T WAIT. Will be back next Monday night!

And before flying off I'm gonna meet my friends to celebrate Melina's birthday!

But it's kinda sucky that I'm sick.

What's the use of the bloody flu vaccination anyway.

Booooooo.

A whirlwind of events

27/10/09: Went to some theatre at clarke quay to watch Youth Matters! Two SYF Gold Award Winning plays were performed. It was really good and after that I had dinner with Paul at IMM. Yay, Crystal Jade! THANKS PAUL:)

31/10/09: Accompanied Shiya for this media club filming project thing. Yingwei, Lynn, Miuyen, Justin and Saiful came too. And Lynn's friend.

2/11/09: Chinese 'A' levels were horrible. Seriously. I never felt like I did so badly for chinese before. Horrible feeling.

3/11/09: I was kinda upset with myself for breaking down in school. Wanted to beat myself up and felt like it was so stupid. Received two melted strawberry sundaes. Lynn sat with me at the stairs and stoned.

4/11/09: Felt pissed and angry the entire day. Cancelled on Shiya - we were supposed to meet up and shop for Ama's present. Went home to chill but went back to school soon after, and Justin treated me to dinner at MOF. HAHA ANOTHER FREE MEAL. THANKS.

5/11/09: It was so dumb that I broke down again. Damn. But whatever. Fucking hate PW. At least I have classmates who are there for me. Like Suba, Justin, Miuyen, Yingwei and Daniel. I managed to make it through my crappy day thanks to them.

6/11/09: Oral presentation! My group, PJ012, was the first to present for our session and after the whole thing we were so relieved. Thank goodness it was over and done with. Had lunch with Yingwei, Lynn and Miuyen after that and went home to relax by singing songs by The Beatles on Rockband. Then I met Shiya and her friend. Went to Jurong Point and met Yunqian there as she happened to be there as well. Bought Ama's birthday present, which was a soft toy of Stitch! Had CIP tuition at Buona Vista as usual, and the kids were on a poking and using cushion to beat people frenzy. Hahaha. I was bullied by little P3 kids! But it was fun playing with them.

7/11/09: Had lunch at Crystal Jade yet again! Yay, my favourite restaurant! Hahaha. Watched Love Happens at Plaza Sing after that.

We actually got the tickets for the wrong time slot because the person behind the counter screwed up, but we still managed to get in because the person tearing the tickets didn't look at the tickets carefully!

Oh yeah and the movie is really good. I sort of teared at one point.

Walked around and went to Ion. Saw the wallet Nureen wanted and it seemed like there was only one left, but I didn't know whether to buy it. Then met up with Michelle, Leongyew, Bryant and Jack at cineleisure. Dinner at Billy Bombers - Jack's treat! YAY. (How many free meals have I had these few weeks man? Hahaha)

Went back to Ion to shop and find Nureen's present, but there was no more stock! Oh and the guys shopped more than Michelle and I. Role reversal! We were just sitting on a chair waiting for them to shop and try on clothes. Haha.

With Michelle in the toilet.

Bryant! Hahaha I like this photo.

All of us with the purple christmas tree^^

Ended up leaning against each other and just stoning in Ion on one of those chairs. We were that tired.

8/11/09: Ama's birthday surprise! Met up with Shiya in the morning and went to Westmall to get food and drinks. Atiqah and Yunqian were late! Jingyi and Shuangyu joined us too and we all wrote in the card Shiya made. Along the way to Ama's house, we got a tiramisu cake for her too.

Was at her doorstep and she answered the door but ran away. Hahaha. We watched Sky of Love, ate lunch, and then when the guy in the show was dying and the girl was crying, we brought out the cake. Hahaha like what the hell right! We were too bored watching that movie anyway, so who cares.

Group photo! The seven of us from St. John; Shiya, Yunqian, Shuangyu, Jingyi, Atiqah, Amalina.

The birthday girl! Happy birthday to Ama in advance! :D

9/11/09: Happy birthday to Vera and Melina! Two close friends I love but haven't been able to spend time with them. Have to get them belated birthday presents and meet up with them soon!

Went to school in the morning with Shiya and Ama. Had breakfast at McDonald's first. They had to go to school early to meet their PW groups and rehearse for their oral presentation. I accompanied Shiya and watched her group present. Then I went to the canteen to meet my own group to do GPP!

But we didn't really do much. Xueying came and we left school together. Then we met Justin and three of us took the train to Kallang together. Met Lynn and Yingwei at Kallang Leisure Park's toilet! Haha. Then we went ice skating!

YAY. Xueying, Lynn and Yingwei! The gay was our photographer.

After skating, we had dinner and then went to the arcade to play! Walked around before going home. Was super tired.

Oh, and at night I realised something which everyone else around me already realised, so I felt retarded. Hahaha. I was totally freaking out when others were saying, see, I told you so!

TODAY: It's Nureeeeen's birthday! Waited for her in the morning and gave her birthday present! It was thanks to gay who reserved that super hard to get wallet for me. Yay! She called me a liar and asked for a hug. Hahaha.

Had GPF filing in the morning and we're all finally FREE FROM PW! Debby lent Michelle her uniform and she hung out with us in PJC! YAY. Had chicken rice in the canteen, went to the cafe, met Amanda, then went to the Patio to relax. She totally looked like a PJC student! And the reactions from other BBSS people like Shahilla and Chrystabel were funny.

Just had dinner with Elena, Xueying and Justin.

I'm so happy now^^
Confused, worried and scared. Yet happy.

Shopping trips!

It was script checking on Tuesday. My results were.. unexpected. I met my goal, which was to pass everything this time. Surprising.

I'm sleeeeeeeeeepy. This is going to be a boring post.

Have been slacking a lot. I need to energize myself for PW and Chinese, no matter how much I hate it. Ugh.

My parents were quarreling again yesterday and my mum was like shooing me out of the house. Annoying! I thought I was going to be late but I was irritated with them so I quickly went out. Ended up being on time and Lynn was late. It's okay because I wanted to be alone and stone for a while.

Met up with Melanie too and we went to the flea market at Clarke Quay. Then we went to Far East Plaza. Intended to shop but I ended up not buying anything. I have no idea why! Saw a lot of nice things I liked but didn't think that they were worth buying. I only buy stuff that I really really really like. Lynn and Mel were shopping like crazy! They spent quite a lot I think.

This morning my parents were quarreling yet again, but it wasn't as bad. I was being fascinated by my new Wii game which came in the mail. The Beatles: Rockband. Got my parents to sing a song each. Yay! Ate a bit of my mother's home cooked food for lunch. Jie came back and we played the songs together! She was fascinated by the game too. Then my mum shooed me out of the house again.

Met Nureen at Far East Plaza. Went to Wisma Atria and Ion Orchard to shop too. But we both didn't buy anything! Except for my bracelet. Oh and we were at Ion's Burger King just having a snack and talking when we saw Justin (the gay) with his friend. It was so coincidental! Met him again at Art Box.

It's nice going out with Nureen. We haven't talked this much in a long time. Oh, and this time I saw things that I really really really liked and are at affordable prices, such as this pair of heels and a skirt. I want! Will be bringing my mum to Ion one day so that I can spend her money.

Oh yeah and the funny thing is that my mum shoos me out of the house and then rushes me to get back home. Sheesh. Will upload photos next time.

Having mood-swings. Trying not to let it show. I don't like.

I FINALLY UPDATED

I've not updated for so long!

23/9/09: Watched 'The Ugly Truth' with Shiya, Amalina and Atiqah.

It was really hilarious! And it's true that guys are assholes. And that girls fall in love with assholes.

28/9/09: The GP paper marked the start of the promos. Sucked man. Heard about something and brushed it off, thinking that it was a joke.

2/10/09: History paper 1 ended early! Went to Taman Jurong's Superbowl with Lynn, Yingwei and Justin. The girls wanted to practice for inter-house games and we had 4 rounds of bowling. Then we played at the arcade there and chilled at KFC.

8/10/09: Literature paper 5; the end of promos. YAY! Met Jack in the evening and we went to buy children's day presents of the kids we tutor at Ulu Pandan. Had dinner at MOF.

10/10/09: Cousin Shi Ling's wedding. Had to go to Uncle Wee's house to witness the tea ceremony. Then we attended the dinner at Mandarin Oriental Hotel. My sis and I hated the emcee for her Engrish like "Please raise for the bride and groom" and other phrases I couldn't catch because she was trying too hard to slang.

Pretty lights!

Standing under pretty lights does not equate to a pretty picture.

12/10/09: Enrichment Day! Though pop guitar was my first choice, cartooning wasn't that bad either.

13/10/09: Inter-house games were boring! Had nothing to do and just stoned until it was time for team skipping. The people from the other class didn't show so the team was made of people from our class. And I thought skipping was easy but it really isn't! We had to practice a lot to coordinate. But we got disqualified anyway so it doesn't matter. Watching other games was more fun.

14/10/09: Our learning journey was to the Air Force Museum. I thought it'd be fun and interesting but it turned out to be boring. I mean, who cares about the history of the RSAF? There could've been a tour guide telling us cool stuff about planes and pilots, or something.

But I had fun taking pictures! <3 my clique!

Was walking with Justin to the bus stop when we met Chrystabel! They came to my house and later Melina joined us. Played stupid games on my Wii. Yay!

15/10/09: Went to Novena Square/Velocity after school with Yingwei, Miuyen and Justin. Oh yeah before that we accompanied YW to collect her passport. I played Scribblenauts on Justin's DS. Hahaha it's so cute! I got addicted to the game and was laughing like crazy.

16/10/09: Chinese results suck. Don't ask. Even 苏老师 was like, "哎呀,你的作文那么好可是你的 paper 2 那么差!" Boooz. I lost my marks at the easiest things; close passages and comprehension MCQ.

17/10/09: Met up with my PW group at Republic Poly. I was the first to reach there and so I went to explore the pretty school! After that I met my mum and we went to Jurong Point and back to Lot 1. Got a haircut and the flu vaccination (for the UK trip). Was a little scared so I looked away but it wasn't painful at all.

18/10/09: Went rollerblading at East Coast Park with Jack, Leongyew, Michelle and Debby!

Yay it was fun! Then we had dinner together at some hawker centre.

Today: Went shopping again! Got a skirt, sweater and winter jacket from Uniqlo. Also bought the pair of boots I wanted from Zara. Yay! ^^

I'm so damn tired.

I don't care about anything else as long as I'm happy. I know that sounds selfish but for now, that's the way it'll be. Because caring too much just makes me more tired and like they say; ignorance is bliss.

Isn't it?

Dead eyes

MY STUPID COMPUTER IN THE LIVING ROOM DIED YESTERDAY.

I'm using my sister's new HP laptop while she's at tuition. This is so sucky. I tried to switch it on after school but it just refused to, and so after CIP tuition I came home and asked dad to fix it. He's currently still trying to do something about it. Just as well, since promos are coming and I shouldn't be using the computer anyway. One less distraction.

But I need the damn computer to do I&R. PW is a bitch.

Eeyer wth! All of a sudden, the screen becomes dimmer.

Oh yeah. I had this random conversation with my sister one night, before we went to sleep. It went something like this:

Jie: Hey do you remember that when we were young we used to ask what was the meaning of meaning?
Me: Is it?
Jie: Yeah. You don't remember? You were seven and I was ten.
Me: So what is the meaning of meaning?
Jie: We never figured it out.

LOL.

My hand is still swollen. I have no idea why.

Meow!

10/9/09: Met Vera at City Hall and went to Marina Square's Subway to study! We both were late but she was later. Anyway, we studied after lunch and after studying, we went shopping! Tried on clothes at Zara together. I bought two tops there - it was such a steal! Oh yeah, and we had dinner at Long John. Hahaha. It was so silly of me to have forgotten the existence of the food court there. Talked to my twin, walked a lot, and went home feeling damn tired.

11/9/09: My mum took a day off work and we visited Ah Ma. I did my Math revision package there. Went shopping at Marina Square. Again.

12/9/09: Studied with Yingwei at Jurong library! We talked a lot but managed to do quite a bit; an econs essay, a case study and the chinese essay plan thingy. Yay! Our chinese essay plan is super funny. Hahaha. It has something to do with the darkness - imagery!

14/9/09: It's a sucky day. First day of term 4. Booooooooooooooooooooz. I totally dread going to school and I dread sitting for promos even more. Chinese already killed me in the morning and for the last lesson, I almost died a few times due to balls flying over and almost hitting my head. Oh, and GP debate was really funny! I think my part was stupid because I prepared last minute and talked shit, but who cares.

Life is so sucky. We're just young people who want to have fun, but our fates are ridiculously determined by something called the promotional exams. Jeez. Students have no life and no youth. Students have to study for exams all the freaking time.

Not that I've done much mugging in my life. This is my first time trying to mug. I don't think it's working. I didn't even study this much for 'O' levels!

The future for youths of Singapore is exciting and inspiring? Riiiight. All that will happen is that youths will grow up, maybe graduate from university, get a job and start working.

The job may not be exciting or fulfilling. Just look at some teachers. Okay, so some of them really enjoy teaching, their faces glow and they radiate the spirit of teaching. Good for them. But it seems that there are more of those who are doing their job for the sake of doing it. And they complain that students have the 'do work for the sake of doing it' mindset as well. Which is true. We are ALL doing things just for the sake of doing those things. Why do humans complicate our own lives so much? Why do we come up with ideologies and systems to make our own lives more miserable?

I'd rather be a cat.

In the land of submarines

The previous entry was a hoax. I actually wanted to update.

31/8/09: Teachers' Day celebrations would have been quite boring if not for the great company and the funny performances! In the morning we had this lame walk along the canal. Yingwei and Lynn were on Media Club duty so Miuyen and I tagged along. Managed to snap some nice photos! We slacked and halfway through we decided to turn back. In the hall, the Student Council put up this really funny skit. And there were many funny outfits for Be Yourself Day.

A group of us took the bus down to BBSS after school, walked through the field and met lots of people outside the general office who were already there. Visited Mr. Lattif and Mdm Yeo, our form teachers last year! Thankfully for us, they had not left the school yet. Took only a few photos, which are up on facebook.

Debby, Michelle, Jiaying, Chrystabel, Ruishan, Shiya, Mei Rong and I went to the KFC behind school to have lunch! Then Michelle and Debby left while the rest of us went to Westmall to walk around. Melina caught up with us along the way. Bumped into Atiqah and Amalina too! Had a nice time just chatting and window shopping with them. Used to do that a lot last time.

2/9/09: Had a chinese mock exam in the morning. Stayed back in the canteen for a while with Miu and Yingwei. There was actually a plan to watch a movie but it was cancelled since a lot of people couldn't make it. So the three of us came over to my house, supposedly to do our work and study, but we ended up talking the whole time! It was so fun to just talk and laze around.

4/9/09: The day went by in a whirl; there were lessons as usual, then GP consultation with Ms Chua, followed by an Econs make up lesson (conducted by Mr. Tay and his crustacean) and then CIP tuition.

I feel more pressurised to do well for GP. And CIP tuition was extra tiring because I had to teach alone again, since the rest have choir. I used the whiteboard to teach, answered their questions, talked and entertained some of them. But it was too much to handle and later the girls separated themselves from the boys. I managed to get the whole class back and we played hide and seek together. It totally drained away all my energy but it was really fun. I felt like a kid again, except that it was really hard for me to find a good hiding spot.

5/9/09: Can you believe that I actually studied for a test? Went to the JE library with YW, MY and Lynn to study and we were quite productive! Took neoprints at JP too! Yeah I know that neoprints are like way outdated but who cares.

6/9/09: President's Challenge - Run Singapore.

I woke up late and rushed over to Marina Square. YW, MY, Lynn and Justin were already there at McDonald's. Met Joseph and Don too and all of us met the rest of the class outside Raffles City. We walked to Padang from there and reported for our class CIP. It was quite boring. We had to walk to our assigned spots. I was with YW, Lynn, Vada and Hanif. Just had to stand there and watch the runners go by. We were observing cute little children, as well as old (but fit!) people. I was stoning out when Naiimah and Gracia called out to me as they ran past.

After the event it was back to Marina Square with Justin, Daniel, Lynn and MY. We accompanied Lynn, who had dinner at Yoshinoya, before going window shopping. Justin made MY and Daniel try on some clothes and he was going into the "fashion designer mode" which was so ego, so gay.

7/9/09: It was back to school for Econs and History tests. Met Brenda in the morning and revised a little. The test was horrible as I didn't have to time to finish it. After a half an hour break it was history. It was a surprise as I managed to write more than usual. Felt super drained after both tests and went to Lot 1 with YW, MY, Lynn and Justin to have lunch at McDonald's.

8/9/09: My PW group interviewed Ms Catherine! We almost got lost a few times; when we were looking for her house and when we were on our way to the Eurasian Association.

9/9/09: I didn't know that there's a library near Jurong Point. YW brought me there today, and we studied with MY and Lynn. I focused only on Math and was totally brain dead at the end of our study session.

NINEOFNINEOFNINE

HI PEOPLE I'M BLOGGING BECAUSE OF THE NICE DATE, 9/9/09!

Okay bye. I'm too busy and I can't be bothered to update.

Saturday, August 29, 2009

You know what to expect.

Just came back from Sentosa but I'm still not tanned! D:

Anyway, it's time for a long list of updates! Yay!!

18/8/09: It was Justin's idea to come over to my house to play Wii, but nobody else wanted to come. Hahaha. It was funny how he was pleading with the others to join him. We were walking out of school and still nobody else wanted to join us. Then we saw Daniel cycling out of school and so Justin got him to join us. Haha.

At Lot 1, Lynn, Yingwei and I wanted to eat at MOF so we had ice cream there. They went to buy bubble tea after that and Yingwei and Lynn decided to come over too! Yay. Had lots of fun.

20/8/09: Melanie's birthday!
I bought a cake the day before so I went to school earlier than usual to ask the Good News Cafe uncle to help me keep the cake in case Mel sees it! But it was so retarded of me to forget to bring the lighter. Hahaha. Thankfully, Justin managed to get one! Yay. And the card was placed in Miuyen's locker.

But it was kinda hard to get people to write post-it notes since Mel was around, and the lesson before lunch was mother tongue so everyone was separated. Lynn was with Mel at the Cafe and I couldn't get the cake! Miu and I went there as if we had to talk to Xueying, but it was already so obvious when I got the cake box from the cafe.

Back at the canteen, I was wondering where everyone went to when a whole group of people from my class came over and crowded around the table. They started to write messages for Mel too. It was such an impromptu thing! Mel was brought over and the class sang her a birthday song really loudly. Hahah. And the cake was yummy.

I was glad that GP consultation was suddenly cancelled and I could go and watch 'Where Got Ghost' with Shiya and Ama after school! But my handphone ran out of battery and was dying, together with the fact that there's always no reception in certain parts of the school, so I couldn't contact them. After school, Mel and I went to Lot 1 and I thought Shiya and Ama were already that. Then I realised that I should use her phone with my SIM card so I called them we were at the rooftop garden and it turned out that they were still in school waiting for me! Hahaha. So I bought tickets first and Mel waited with me for them to come. Yay thanks Melly!

Shiya, Ama and I went into the cinema just in time, when some commercial just ended and the movie was about to start. The movie wasn't really scary, except that there were sudden images which are made to pop out and surprise you. But those images weren't scary and were actually kind of funny! So I wasn't really spooked even though it was the first day of the seventh month, as it was more of a stupid comedy. It wasn't really worth watching either.

21/8/09: Justin, Xueying and Elena came over to play Wii! When they left for drama, I went for CIP. Happened to meet Shun Yu at the CCK MRT platform and we went to photocopy worksheets at Buona Vista exchange. Yay, it's like much cheaper than photocopying at Lot 1!

25/8/09: The new chinese teacher showed us some touching videos which made us cry!

Stayed back to discuss a little bit about PW before going to Westmall to meet Michelle. Xueying, Justin and Daniel came long too. Haha. We ate dinner and hung out at Lot 1 till 7pm plus.

26/8/09: It was Debby's birthday! I had to get a box to put the bikini in so I went to IMM with Yingwei and Lynn! We went to Daiso to buy stuff and got fascinated with random objects there. Haha. Later in the evening, Michelle and I wanted to surprise Debby so after her CCA, Michelle and I met outside Debby's condo. We gave the security guards the wrong unit number and we also ended up going to the wrong block! Hahaha it was so funny. We were like exploring her condo or something.

And we had to wait outside for people to walk in or out of the block in order to follow them through the gates and get inside. Hahah. Oh, but we found the correct block and looked at the footwear to confirm it! I was asking Michelle if Debby was home in the first place but Michelle didn't want to spoil the surprise so we didn't ask Debby! And in the end Debby really wasn't at home so we passed the present to her mother. But it's okay because her mother was really nice and at least now we will remember where she stays.

28/8/09: Had GP consultation with Ms Chua, like finally. Mel, Lynn and I will be doing this together on a weekly basis, I guess. We accompanied Lynn down to the concourse after that to have her photo taken and superimposed onto the class photos. Yay, hopefully it doesn't look weird but that doesn't matter because at least she'll be in the picture! Went for CIP tuition after that which was more tiring than usual because I was the only one there (the rest had choir).

Time to SLEEP. I'm damn tired and I have to remind myself that there are two essays due on Monday! Can't afford to slack off tomorrow.

I totally want to go to the beach with my PJC friends someday!

Monday, August 17, 2009

What title should be placed here anyway?

I got all kinds of random/ridiculous/sweet/funny answers from the "World Stealing Day" message which I sent to my friends! Got the message from Michelle. Hahaha. The replies totally made my day :D

Last Friday there was CIP as usual and it was fun! Amazingly, I managed to open the door with just one try (I've always been having trouble unlocking the door when I first arrived at the place). Managed to teach with this whiteboard which I could carry around. After the lesson, there's this sense of satisfaction. It's really rewarding.

Yesterday I went to the NUS guild house because my random Aunt had asked my Mum out for lunch. But my cousins didn't come while my sister was busy giving tuition. So it was just my parents and my Aunt and Uncle. It was a bit weird but okay. The food we had at the chinese restaurant was good. (Just that I kept wondering why they didn't refill our cups. I was so thirsty!)

In school today, I finally felt like myself again! I guess I haven't been myself lately. Haha. Didn't really have Monday blues. And I understood econs! Yay. I don't wanna fail anything again. I have a phobia of failing GP and Econs now, though I think I'd probably fail the recent essay tests anyway. But at least I have this fear instead of just not caring.

Speaking of econs, I think Mr. Por is nice and funny (though he misspelt my name the other day, I shall still forgive him). Mr. Ng is funny too. He told us to copy down something while he munched down an apple lattice during history lecture. Haha.

Our chinese teacher has left! That is sad. I'm not used to the new teacher. And I like 林老师! She's really nice and explains things clearly. Oh and just now during PE, our class had a match with 09S27, Mr. Hiap's form class and also the class with combine with for chinese. It's funny that after so long we still don't know their names! And I guess some of us (including myself) feel inferior because their chinese is better than ours.

There's also this stupid belief which I abhor: that people in the science stream are smarter than those in the arts. I say that this is stupid because it is just simply a matter of choice. Ama, Ati and Shiya may say that my combination is crazy (they also asked me how many pens which I have used, which reminds me that I need to buy G2 pilot pen ink refills), but in turn I find that their combination is crazy. Studying pure sciences was already so horrible for me at the 'O' level standard. I would die in a science class.

If a sciency person were to take an arts combination, they would probably flunk. Of course, there are probably some people who'd excel in whichever they choose because they put their mind to it and are really hardworking. But what really matters is still our interests, isn't it? You have to like what you're doing or be a miserable person and do something which seems meaningless or boring to you.

There's some weirdness in class among people. Doesn't seem like it'll clear up but I'm hoping it would.

Oh and here's a random thought. Maybe the word "myselves" should exist in the dictionary because there are many sides to ourselves. And if you were to refer to your inner personality, your public persona and the different ways you act when you're with different people, or the way you used to be in the past as compared to the present; isn't that multiple sides of yourself which you can call "myselves"?

I finally got around to watch "The Green Mile" online. I was so irritated when they only showed us part of the movie during the post-exam activities. I love the movie a lot! It's nice that everything comes full circle. I like stories like that. But it's also kinda sad at certain scenes and it makes me think a lot about death. This is also one of the rare times that I find a movie, which was based on a novel, really good. But it could be because I've not read the book yet.

The other day during the lit symposium, they got this guy who was a student from NTU to speak to us about Pinter's works and postmodernism. And he mentioned questions of identity, questions like why do we exist and stuff. I remember that when I was young, I started asking my mother why I existed but she told me the scientific explanation which wasn't what I was looking for. So I said something like, nooo, I want to know what am I me and not someone else. But she didn't really get it I was like, never mind. But I didn't know that was kind of like postmodernism or something. Is it? I'm not even sure.

Thinking about so many random things at one time gives me a headache. And I don't know why but I guess I get sad easily even when I'm not directly affected by some problem or situation. Just indirectly affected because people tell me their problems which are sad things which make me sad for them and just sad in general. Which is why sometimes I'm sad for no apparent reason or maybe I just stone. But sometimes I stone for no apparent reason as well. There's a difference in stoning, you know. Hahaha.

But I'm feeling more of myself now so I'll try not to stone so much.

I DO NOT HAVE HINI!

Yay I get to miss school again!

Even though NDP celebrations are always boring, I was kinda upset last Friday that I didn't get to go to school. I spent the whole day sleeping and on Saturday I went to see an Ah Beng doctor who took my temperature (39 degrees) and told me to stick out my tongue and say ahhh. Then he gave me an MC for today. Yay!

It sucks to be sick and cough and have people stay away from you thinking that you have H1N1. It also sucks to have a blocked nose and be unable to breathe when you eat. And most importantly, it sucks to be sick during a long weekend when you can't go out and have fun. Oh, and when you are supposed to use the time to study for an upcoming econs test, you end up sleeping because of the drowsy medicine.

Not like I would have studied, but still.

Last Thursday after school, I went back to BBSS with Ama, Ati and Shiya. We met Yunqian, Jingyi and Shuangyu at the back gate and we went in to look at the parade for the opening ceremony. The seven of us had dinner at McDonald's which was surprisingly not awkward but kind of nice.

Oh yeah it was National Day on Sunday, but I didn't feel very patriotic because I was just lying down on the sofa staring at the TV, watching the NDP parade.

After that we got to laugh at the people who sounded terrible at the Singapore Idol auditions.

Oh and I agree with Michelle's post!

It reminded me of someone who asked me whether I regretted the past 3 relationships I had.

Immediately, I gave that person a funny look and said no.
Because why should I?

Initially I did have regrets. But as time passes, I found that there was nothing to regret. I followed my heart and did what I felt like doing. It's better than not giving love a chance at all.

只要清楚曾爱得那么深刻
不准问值不值得
(锦绣二重唱-我的快乐,命中注定我爱你Soundtrack)

I am no longer upset over that someone anymore as well.
I won't forget, I won't regret. I'll remember and learn. I won't let it happen again.

时间把习惯换了伤口愈合
也撤销我再想你的资格
(半情歌-元若蓝,命中注定我爱你Soundtrack)

I am so over that someone.

Oh yeah, I was so happy that 命中注定我爱你 was airing on Channel U until I watched this episode where they dubbed the hokkien parts! With chinese! I mean, come on. Hokkien and chinese sounds so similiar. What's the point. Dubbing it just makes it sound so fake. And it's so obvious that it was added in because the background noise would disappear.

Please don't watch 命中注定我爱你 on Channel U. Just watch it online.

现在我迈开大步走
一直向前走不许再回头
(I'm Ok-元若蓝,命中注定我爱你Soundtrack)

I should move forward and focus on my studies. Hopefully when I get to a uni, I'll be as happy as my sister is. She was so excited to go to school last night.

RAMBLINGS

3/7/09: Celebrated Elena's birthday! Mel was tipsy and Justin sent her home but the rest of us were stranded so my Dad came to fetch us. Yay, he rocks right. We waited at Starbucks and later my Dad came. He dropped Elena, Miuyen and Hanif off at different places in Bukit Panjang.

7/7/09: 'A' level chinese oral. I WAS THE FIRST AND QUICKEST ONE TO COMPLETE MY ORAL LAH. WTH. 你认为新加坡是个活力的城市吗? NO, 我认为 SINGAPORE IS BORING AND SMALL AND THERE IS NOTHING TO DO HERE.

8/7/09 to 10/7/09: POST EXAM ACTIVITIES SUCK LAH. SERIOUSLY. I MISS BBSS.

11/7/09: Went to the national library with my PW group members to search for a new topic. But whatever, OUR IDEA GOT REJECTED.

14/7/09: It was Lynn's birthday but she wasn't in school!

15/7/09: Class photo taking! I felt so fake when I smiled. I hope I don't look fake.

17/7/09: CIP tuition! Celebrated Lynn's birthday! Took the train to Vivocity and walked around while waiting for the rest (Lynn, Elena, Melanie, Yingwei, Xueying and Justin) as they were watching Harry Potter. Went to some Japanese restaurant to have dinner.

20/7/09: Ate at Jack's Place (LOL), Bukit Pajang Plaza, after school/PE. With Elena, Melanie and Donovan. (I know, I was broke after that)

22/7/09: THE SUCKIEST RACIAL HARMONY DAY CELEBRATION EVER! But it was fun hanging out with the patio with Miuyen saying that PJC = Pathetic Junior College, with Justin pushing the swing and just talking about random things while waiting for my interview with chua (which sucked, by the way)

23/7/09: 'A' level chinese listening comprehension - damn tricky. I was super sleepy during the exam too, but I survived smirking to myself at the back corner of the classroom, suppressing my desire to laugh whenever I saw people jump up at the sounds of music from symphony 92.4. After that, Miuyen and Yingwei slacked with me in the canteen. We were super hyper; I have no idea why, but we just kept crapping and laughing instead of doing homework. Then I met with my PW group and we took a cab down to the Eurasian Community House.

24/7/09: Had CIP tuition as usual (yay, I love the kids!) before rushing over to Vivocity to celebrate Michelle's birthday! My handphone was ran out of battery so I went to meet Jack first, who played his guitar and acted cute while waiting for LY and Bryant to come. Bryant went to escort Michelle over and we surprised her with a chocolate cake and Jack's singing! I passed her Debby's gift and a rose popped out of nowhere! Bought movie tickets with Jack to watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince while the rest were supposed to go find a place to eat, but they didn't, I don't know why, and we ended up eating at Carl's Junior. And I don't know what happened but the cake box was thrown away so after a quick meal we left the cake there and dumped the fries into my Carl's Junior box and smuggled drinks and food into the theatre. The cake was wasted and that's so sad! We sat in the front row which is kinda sucky and half way through the movie got boring and Jack was laughing at random scenes even when no one was laughing. Bryant kept thanking me, I have no idea why, and I laughed at the Visa Card advertisement by pointing to the stupid looking guy who was dancing in every part of the world and saying that it was Jack. At midnight I was trapped outside again, so my Dad picked me up at Westmall. I almost panicked when he couldn't find me and my phone died when I was talking to my Dad, but I don't know why I remained calm and ordered a coke from McDonald's. When I came out, his silver van appeared. Yay. My sister says that the van is blue but I say it's silver.

26/7/09: Made a trip down to the Eurasian Community House again for more interviews at their Sunday lunch!

28/7/09: Bryant's birthday! There was this NS talk after school which was so boring. And after that, as the CE/NE rep I had to attend this short lesson by SCDF about fire safety, which was actually boring but the speaker was funny so its okay. It was like the Civil Defence course I went for when I was in SJAB because after the talk they brought as to the parade square to put out a fire.

29/7/09: HAD SERIOUS MOOD SWINGS. I was super stoney and sad and angry and after that I went home to cry but after that I was super happy and I went to have dinner with Jack, Bryant and Michelle, who made me laugh like crazy. Ate at NYDC at Holland Village.

30/7/09: During chinese lesson, 林老师 flared up at us and ignored us for a while. Later, she told us that she's going to leave after teaching the last 课文 and some other teacher was going to take over. Boooooo. We should totally give her a balloon.

31/7/09: Canceled GP consultation with chua since I wasn't ready. Went to photocopy the new chapter on fractions for CIP tuition. I like teaching them because it can be quite fun. And I like being the first one there to meddle with the key and the lock to open the door and switch on the air con.

1/8/09: Meet the parents sesson. Mum meets chua-bitch. Received a day of nagging. Ughhhh.

2/8/09: Went for CIP at the Choa Chu Kang Community Centre as a CE/NE rep. It was some National Day celebration thingy where all the aunties came to get free goodie bags and all the kids came to get free balloons. I spent the entire morning (the event lasted till 12 noon) doing CPR on the manikin at the CPR booth and teaching those aunties and uncles and kids about CPR.

Let's all drop out of school!

What kind of teachers wait for students to "filter themselves out"?

PJC teachers.

When there were 29 students in our class, we became the largest class in the cohort. And now that 2 more students are joining us, the teachers think that the class is too big and are waiting for us to fall out. Drop out. Retain. Transfer to a poly. Whatever.

WHAT KIND OF SHIT IS THIS?

Okay, so it's hypothetical. It's a prediction that some of us won't be able to make it to J2. But how can teachers say such things? It's insulting AND demoralizing. I feel like they are looking down on us, and I was totally pissed to hear what Ms Chua said today.

It made me feel like, WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING HERE IN SUCH A STUPID SCHOOL. I should've put NP's mass communication course as my first choice instead of my second. Or maybe I should've tried for CJC.

I thought that PJC was a good school. But I guess I've been proven wrong.

Thank goodness for my friends in PJ. I love the company I have in school, so I'm going to stick it out and try to make my way to the 'A' levels. It's not the school that matters; as long as I don't screw up too much, I should do okay, right?

I hope so.

Another mass update!

I'm updating as I'm threatened to do so. Lol.

3/6/09: Watched the performance 'Seven Boards of Tricks' at VCH.

4/6/09: After that previous post I went to hand up my EOM with Yingwei and Miuyen. Then we went to orchard! Yay. Went shopping and while eating cupcakes, we saw Mr. Chu at Crystal Jade Bakery. Hahaha. Talked and laughed like hell :D

5/6/09: Had an econs lecture in the morning. Went home after lunch and had to go to Buona Vista to tutor those P3 kids. Took the bus down with Debby to CJC and met up with the rest.

We watched the play 'Blithe Spirit', which was put up by the CJC drama society. Debby, Michelle, Jack and I had watched it two years back with our lit class at the esplanade so we already knew what was going to happen. But the play was still funny and really enjoyable. They did a great job :D

8/6/09: There was a lit lecture conducted by Mdm Lai. Oh, and I was nice to Justin for the whole day by not calling him a gay. He was so surprised.

But I couldn't resist calling him a gay via SMS. Hahahaha.

9/6/09: Went shopping at Jurong Point with Shiya and Amalina for Atiqah's (belated) birthday present! We intended to spend $30 but we didn't really know what to buy for her, so we ended up walking all over JP and exploring interesting looking stores.

Oh, and because of the Great Singapore Sale (GSS), things were discounted and we had to rack our brains and think of more items to buy! At the end of the day, we walked around wondering what to do with the remaining $7+ and it was funny pointing out random things to buy.

10/6/09: Met up with Vera at orchard! She came after some Interact Day thingy at AJC. Anyway, we had lunch together at Burger King. Vera forgot to bring the free movie tickets so we didn't end up watching a a movie, but it's okay! :D

Went shopping! Vera bought a vest and a hoodie. She made me try on lots of clothes too! So much for window shopping. Hahaha.

11/6/09: Singapore is really a boring place you know, it seems like there is nowhere to go! Nureen and I initially wanted to go to someplace that we've not been to before, but we couldn't think of any, so we met and shopped at orchard!

I bought this dress which I tried on the day before. YAY, I managed to snag the last piece! :D

Oh, and I was STONING as Nureen's boyfriend, together with his group of friends, walked by. Hahaha wth right. I can't believe that I was seriously stoning and I didn't see them. Hahahahah.

12/6/09: CIP tuition was tiring! It was just Shun Yu and I today.

13/6/09: Met Shiya and we took 985 down to Beauty World. Bryant came onto the same bus as he was on his way for dragon boating.

We stoned at the bus stop for some time before going to McDonald's for ice cream even though it was a rainy day. Ama came and soon, she received a call that Atiqah was on her way. Oh, and Yunqian was still sleeping! Tsk. Anyway, Ama went to meet Ati first. Shiya and I dropped by later and we pretended it was all a coincidence, but it was so obvious that Atiqah was suspicious of us as she kept smiling to herself. Lol!

Had lunch together and we went to McDonald's (again). Found Yunqian sitting outside waiting for us, and we gave Atiqah her birthday present and card. Hahah. Yay!

After a while, I left and went to Michelle's house.

Bryant, Jack and Leongyew came later and we all went down to play pool. Jack tried to teach Michelle and I how to play, but he failed! Hahaha. We went back to Michelle's house and her playstation 2 was being weird so Jack and LY were trying to do something about it while Bryant used the computer and I was just transferring notes from one notebook to another.

Debby joined us at Westmall and we ate dinner at Sakae Sushi! Didn't really know what to order so we asked the guys to order for us and we'll just eat. Yay. But the service sucked and the waitress sucked so booooo. Oh yeah, and the guys ordered this thingy - some kind of boiling pot of soup you could cook beef in. Bryant was like saying that after putting the beef into the soup, you take it out and mix it with the raw egg, but Jack was like, nuuu, you mix the beef with the egg and put it into the soup. But like whatever, it tasted the same.

Debby left after dinner and the five of us got last minute tickets to watch 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past'! The movie had already started when we walked into the threatre but it's okay. The plot was predictable but the movie was nice and meaningful. Yay. It was funny too; Jack was laughing really loudly.

15/6/09: CIP briefing at Metropolitan YMCA!

22/6/09-24/6/09: CIP! :D

Day 1: Went to Bukit Pajang with Shiya to fetch three kids (Phylicia, Thaun Hng, Kyler) from the childcare centre and brought them to metropolitan YMCA! The bus drove us there and we met a lot of other kids; there were 17 of them in total. Along the way, Kyler was saying that she thinks that it is going to be an adventure.

We had activities and games and a cooking session! Spaghetti with sausage, celery, carrots and mushroom. Fruit salad for dessert. Oh, and we went into the pool to play with them. Atiqah went in first, then she dragged me down. Ama and Shiya joined us too! Samuel had a water gun.

Abeila and Laurelle liked to come and talk to me. Laurelle even has a handphone. She gave me her number and made me promise to SMS her at night. Reuben was wearing this 'Mr. Strong' shirt and he kept pointing to mine, calling me 'Little Miss Brainy'. Hahahah. They're all so cute!

Ate dinner with Shiya at Lot 1 after sending the Bukit Panjang kids back to the childcare centre. The good thing is that we get to ride the bus back to Bukit Pajang with them and then taking the LRT. It's faster than taking 190 all the way back to CCK.

When we were walking to the childcare centre, Kyler was telling me that it was reeally like an adventure and she had fun. I told her that it would be another adventure tomorrow and she jumped in excitement.

Day 2: Off to the zoo! Reuben asked me to sit with him, and that hyper active kid was surprisingly quiet during the bus ride. We split into three groups and had this amazing race. It was pretty hard to keep them focused on what they had to do. Reuben and Samuel quarreled along the way, and later Reuben made Gladiz cry - she was afraid for the insects in the fragile forest.

Gliviz is super cute! Shannon can be quite talkative; he was telling me all about the 'Rainforest Strikes Back' performance at the amphitheatre when we were on our way to watch it as he had already seen it with his family. He also talked to me about Wii and Mario Kart.

The kids were allowed to play at the pool area there but after a while it rained, so we had to gather them and bring them to the toilet. The rain got heavier and we had to talk shelter before walking over to the bus quickly. Reuben had saved me a seat with his Ben 10 cap and the bus drove us all straight to YMCA.

Back in the music room, the kids were told to lie down and sleep but none of them did. They were all restless. Some of them wanted to play the games on my handphone and it nearly ran out of battery.

Day 3: Awwww, it was the last day! :(

We had a game about remembering the lyrics to the YMCA song (Tabael could answer everything correctly!) and the pass the message game. We were also given a cupcake to decorate with pocky, biscuits and chocolate sprinkles. (I brought mine home and told my dad it was his Fathers' Day gift, so he had to eat it)

We were also given bread, seaweed, tuna and raisins to create something which looks like a zebra. Lol. Then we ate our zebras. We prepared spaghetti and fruit salad again, but this time it was for their parents who were coming later that evening. The all boys group was in charge of spaghetti and the group with more girls was in charge of the sauce and ingredients of the spaghetti.

Our group was in charge of fruit salad. It was scary to watch children handle knives. They peeled and chopped the oranges and bananas. Atiqah and I later cut the apples. It was all done after Caleb and Gladiz dumped the apples into the bowl and Gliviz mixed it all up.

In the evening, some of their parents came and the children presented their group work. They brought containers to take the food home and before we left we took group photos. Some of them came up to hug us. Aww! I totally love this CIP. It was so fun! Tiring of course, but fun and somehow rewarding :)

Pictures are up on facebook!

I have got to stop blogging in this manner.

Oh, and MYEs ARE OVER! YAY!

Will update about celebrating Elena's birthday and drinking wine at Istana park some other time!

PW SUCKS!

I'm doing my EOM only now and I have 230 more words to go!

Mdm Teo is scary and she kept calling me Zhi Ting yesterday. Justin was trying to prove to me that he's not gay by taking a facebook quiz. When I wasn't at my computer, Don changed my facebook status to "I'm a lesbo!" because I kept saying that he and his bag has gay germs and later I called him bisexual. Hahahah.

Anyway, our group has a new topic! Argh. Mdm Teo made us change our topic and we have to redo our GPP.

I went to Victoria Concert Hall yesterday with people from the drama club. We watched this performance called "The Seven Boards of Tricks" and is was nice! They moved the life-sized shapes and were so cool as they seemed so skilled and flexible. The shapes are from the tangram game, a chinese puzzle which I have at home because NHPS gave it to us as a Childrens' Day present.

I have to finish my EOM in 20 minutes and go to school! SHIT!

OMG WAIT, LIT LECTURE IS CANCELLED. I just saw Justin's SMS. Oh crap, I'm now in my school uniform for nothing. And I panicked for nothing as well. Hahaha I feel so dumb now. And I packed my bag for 'The Taming of the Shrew' already! But I guess luck is on my side, because I still have 168 more words to type.

Haha yay! 106 more words and now I have like one and a half more hours to finish my EOM before meeting Miuyen and Yingwei later! :D

The H1 Math paper was horrible because I skipped this question which was worth 6 marks as I just didn't know how to do it. Oh nos.

An update for not updating for a month

Yes, I know that I've not been updating for a month! Haha. I'm going to start updating now okay.

And I know that this entry is going to take me forever to type out because I insist on blogging about these things in such a way. Therefore this post might turn out to be long and draggy, but who cares.

17/4/09: Annual Awards Ceremony.

Going back to BBSS to collect the St. John Ambulance Brigade award was fun. Those graduation gowns made us feel like wizards from the set of Harry Potter. There was a new award called the Habits of Mind (HOM) award, which this guy called Gabriel received, and they made a big deal about it when all he got was a trophy. LOL! Anyway, my award came in the form of a $300 cheque. Yay! :D

Oh, and there was the AAC parade of course, as usual. Shiya and I visited our juniors while they were having training. And I asked Miss Lim why I got the award, but she said it was a long story. So Shiya and I asked if she could summarise it with her summary skills of an English teacher but she still didn't tell.

I'm guessing that they have just realised that the school has been giving out the SJAB award wrongly, because the award is from the St. John Headquarters, with two signatures on the cheque (one of which is unmistakably the chief commissioner's humongous signature), so it should only be for SJAB members and not just anyone from any UG.

Anyway, the ceremony was pretty boring. But it felt good to be listening to Mrs. Kee's speech (I do miss having a principal who is always smiling) and feeling proud about graduating from BBSS. My classmates cheered for Bryant, Mark, Farah and I. We also cheered for Mdm Yeo and Mr. Lattif; both of them received a long service award (15 years).

Though refreshments were provided, Michelle, LY, Debby, Shiya, Khadeza and I went to have dinner at McDonald's. The one behind BBSS, not the one at Westmall.

I suddenly remembered what Mr. Lattif said to my mum at the PTM last year. That he expected to see me on stage shaking hands with someone next year.

Though I didn't do well enough to go up on stage during the release of the 'O' level results, shaking hands with the guest of honour, Mr. Suparman, is the same thing. Mr. Lattif didn't really specify the going up on stage thing. I know he said that as a form of encouragement and he might have forgotten what he said, but hey, it did happen. And I'm grateful for that.

22/4/09: Paul's birthday & Earth day.

I was the only one from my class to bring a paper bag of second hand stuff to sell for the Green Bazaar. It was for Earth week, and I ended up stuffing my paper bag into Yingwei's locker. Anyway, Xueying and Beatrice bought a necklace (they shared it by separating the pair of wings). It was grossly underpriced as Xueying sold it to herself, but it's okay since my sister didn't want it anymore. I couldn't get rid of the stuff I wanted to; it's still in good condition and I just can't bear to throw them away.

24/4/09: Pictionary!

Miuyen, Yingwei, Lynn and I visited the sanctuary after school as we were bored while waiting for our CCAs to start. Playing pictionary with them was so fun! We laughed throughout the game because of our funny drawings. It reminded me of isketch.

28/4/09:
I went for another NE meeting, thinking that I was so dead because I totally forgot about organising the trip to Jalan Besar. But the meeting turned out to be a waste of time and the teacher in charge of my class wasn't there. Vanessa and Chrystabel had to report to their teachers while Amalina (who went in the place of her NE rep) just sat there and stoned. She tried to help me with the present I was going to give to Paul but she concluded that I was cheated of my money, just like what Yingwei said in the canteen earlier. LOL.

It was fun fretting over that stupid white mug, trying to write on it with the special purple pen. It which was supposed to be cool as the pen was supposed to allow people to write a hidden, invisible message on the cup and shine this special light on it in order for it to be seen.

The people who made that cup totally cheated my money because the ink from the pen could be erased just by rubbing the cup with your fingers. Also, the purple thingy you had to press to shine the purple light from, was not working. I decided to go home and use my black permanent marker to decorate it. After all, a combination of black and white always turns out to be nice and simple. The black permanent marker does state that it "writes on almost all surfaces", but surface of a mug turns out to be one of the surfaces the marker does not write on.

My sisters' friends were at home playing Wii when I entered the house. I tried to do something about the mug but it didn't work, so I ended up using a silver marker to write a note to Paul at the back of the box instead. I went out to meet Paul. Had dinner at the food court (which took quite long because I couldn't chew on my left side). I gave him the present after that and showed him how I was cheated of my money but he accepted the gift and thanked me anyway.

The gift didn't quite turn out what I wanted it to be but he still appreciated it.

I realised that I like giving gifts and presents. I like seeing smiles and I don't expect anything in return. Just a word of appreciation will do.

Being really sincere and thoughtful, staying up late to make something for someone, writing in hidden messages... If that someone doesn't appreciate what has been done, or even wants to return the gift, does sincerity and thoughtfulness even matter? Obviously not. Everything becomes meaningless and pointless. They say that "it's the thought that counts", right? I'd say it's the recipient who matters, as well.

I'd stay far, far away from these people.

29/4/09: Choir

I wasted about 3 or 4 hours of my life. How? By sitting in an LT (with damn lousy reception!) and flipping scores. Why? Because I was part of the group that was ostracised. Because we have not passed the audition.

30/4/09: Choir - SYF rehearsal.

It was a chance to miss lessons and go to Victoria Concert Hall (VCH). I've been there twice before, since I've taken part in SYF twice in primary school. It remains unchanged and boring. I wasn't actually supposed to go on stage because I have not passed the audition yet, but I didn't know and just followed. It didn't matter as no one seemed to notice.

It was uncomfortable wearing those white heels. It was more uncomfortable having the thought that I did not belong there; that I was supposed to be sitting down with the others who had not passed. Thankfully, they joined us on stage later, and we could remove our heels.

We ran our 2.4km run in the morning, and got drenched in the rain. I stopped after my 5th round because the rain was getting annoying. It was a mistake; I should've continued my last round as I would've gotten a good timing. Running in the rain is much better than running in the hot sun.

1/5/09: Labour Day at Jack's place!

This photo brings a smile to my face :D

Met up with Michelle and Ruonan at Clementi MRT station. We ate at CityVibe or something, the new shopping centre there. I miss the old Clementi Central and the old bus interchange just like how I miss the 4th floor of the old Lot 1.

Michelle was telling us that Jack stays in this yellow and turquoise building and we could walk there. We almost walked in the opposite direction of his house. Haha. I realised that we were about to walk in the direction of Nan Hua Primary and stopped us in time okay!

So we arrived at Jack's place and we were quite warmly welcomed. LY was already there. Debby and Bryant came later. Anyway, Jack was enthusiastically teaching us how to play 'Risk', which we figured was a game to promote war and dictatorship. We were also fascinated by Jack's cute turtle! The tank was too tiny for the turtle and the turtle seemed to be waving to us when Michelle waved to it.

Going to Jack's place was great and his mother was nice. She kept provided us with drinks and tea break, which was popiah and ice-cream! We played monopoly later, but it was never ending! Jack's mother was trying to make Bryant treat us girls to dinner. Hahaha.

2/5/09: Dental Appointment

Missed choir and completed the 2nd part of root canal treatment today. What's this shit about SYF is coming, so must make sacrifices? Ha. Is SYF that big of a deal that I have to risk the possibly of losing my adult tooth if I did not go for treatment?

I'm OUT of this SYF shit.

5/5/09: Choir - SYF.

In the morning, Hanif and Khairiah talked to me about SYF. From what they said, it was obviously ASSUMED that I was going with the choir to support them. WTF, right? I didn't say that I wanted to go, and nobody told me the details. I was already prepared NOT to go because I'd rather attend lessons in school than waste even MORE of my time.

Before math, Cheryl and Xiao Tong told me to go for SYF because Ms Chen said that it'll be written in our testimonials that we helped out during SYF. If we didn't go, our efforts will go to waste. So FINE, I decided that since I've already wasted so much time in choir, wasting a bit more time doesn't make a difference.

I helped Meiyu and some others with their gowns. The teachers brought Jasmine, Cheryl, Xiao Tong, Pearlyn, Melissa, Jane and I into the concert hall and we watched a lot of other schools perform. PJC choir got a silver, which was expected.

7/5/09: Taming of the ShrewDUDE.

The whole class was studying for our lit test on The Taming of the Shrew in the cafe. I was crapping about the part where Lucentio says, "Tranio, I burn, I pine, I perish" and "Tranio, I saw her coral lips to move, /And with her breath she did perfume the air." I was trying to apply those lines to people like Miuyen, Xueying and Donovan. Hahahah.

Hung out with Xueying, Miuyen and Yingwei after school. We started talking about Shakespeare again, so I was like, what if the play took place in a matriarchal society instead of a patriarchal one? Then the line, "And with her breath she did perfume the air." would be changed to something like, "Oh Tranio, his manly odour diffused into the air." And it wouldn't be called "The Taming of the Shrew" anymore, but it could be called "The Taming of the Dude"!

My friends LOL-ed at what I said.
Went to Lot 1 with Yingwei after that to buy a mango cake! Yay!

8/5/09: Celebrated Miuyen's birthday after school!

Fridays are the best as we're released at 12.30pm! Miuyen, Yingwei, Xueying, Lynn, Elena and Justin came over to my house "to play Wii". Haha. We were actually gonna celebrate Miuyen's birthday for her in advance; and she didn't suspect a thing!

With Xueying and Miuyen! :D

We were playing Guitar Hero and American Idol on my Wii set. Miu and Yingwei didn't play much. Lynn, Elena and Xueying sand a few songs. Justin was the only guy and he was like, "Where's Don when you need him?" Lol. That gay was so quiet compared to his usual self.

Miu making her wish:)
This photo was taken from Elena's facebook photo album. Nice shot! All the other photos were taken by Yingwei, our professional photographer for the day! Haha.

The cute bear Justin bought from Lot 1 on his way over!

We were walking about of school with the gay at first, and he was like asking me what to buy for Miu before he received a phone call that he left something in school, so he went back to get it. He came over later when a huge yellow plastic bag which I told him to leave outside so that it wouldn't spoil the surprise!

Xueying took these photos! Yingwei, Miuyen, Lynn, Elena.

Group photos! Prepared the cake in the kitchen and Yingwei guarded the door. Hahah. Was waiting for the right time to bring out the cake. The air con almost blew the candles out!

Went to Buona Vista for CIP tuition later. It was the last day for the J2s so they took photos with the kids.

10/5/09: Jalan Besar Outing! Mothers' Day!

I passed around this piece of paper in class for out and a lot of people ticked that they could go for this stupid NE learning journey, but in the end they backed out and only Yingwei and Justin showed up! Not surprising.

The three of us alighted at Lavender MRT station and wandered around Jalan Besar. We didn't know the place well, but we took some photos for the poster. It was so hot! Had a drink and a sundae from McDonald's. We went inside Mustafa for fun.

There were many shophouses there.
What did we learn? That Jalan Besar is a boring place. Seriously.

Ate xiao long baos after that. Yay.

I was supposed to meet my parents for steamboat dinner after that, but my sister was locked outside the house as she forgot her keys. So we bought food home instead.

14/5/09: PONED SCHOOL

I didn't feel like going to school. My mother let me pon. Yay. Need I say more?

15/5/09: Yi Ting's birthday

Met up with Nureen and Brenda after school! Bought Yi Ting's present and went to photocopy worksheets for the primary three kids to do later during tuition. They came over; we used the computer and played a bit of Guitar Hero.

I couldn't meet Yi Ting and Josephine because I had to go for CIP. I couldn't meet Michelle, Jack and Bryant to surprised LY at his house either. Booo.

Anyway, I went for CIP alone because the rest had choir. Thankfully, only four students came and I taught the length chapter. Yay! Those primary three kids are cute and I gave them sweets at the end of the lesson.

After that, I met Michelle, Jack and Bryant at Bukit Batok. I don't know why I was so tired, and I don't know why they laughed when I said that I had to teach four brats how to do maths.

16/5/09: Leongyew's birthday

Went out with Michelle and LY and we watched 'Star Trek' at The Cathay! (Obviously, I was being extra. But it's okay!)

Before going out, I wondered out loud if Star Trek was a good movie and my sister was like, "I wanna watch!" And my dad was like, "Oh it's the number one movie in America you know!"

I've never watched the television series, nor have I read any of those Star Trek novels, but the movie is nice. I like Anton Yelchin! He's cute. Michelle said it was cliché, which is true because it was quite predictable. But LY was like, noooo, it's a classic.

17/5/09: Went to Causeway Point with my family and we ate at Swensen's for lunch. Yay!

We thought that there was this special offer thing but it was only available on weekdays or something. But it's okay! Had yummy baked rice and delicious ice cream.

I think I have a phobia of being forgotten or something.

22/5/09: A big group of us from our class went to Lot 1 together to have lunch. Miu was sick so she went to visit the doctor. Booo. It was suggested to go to Long John but it was full when we got there, so we decided to split up.

Ate at the food court with the gays (Don and Justin), Elena, Lynn, Yingwei. Met Xinyee and Steven there, who came to sit with us. We went our separate ways as most of us had something on after that.

Tuition was horrible. I was alone again, as the rest had choir, but this time seven kids showed up and I had a hard time trying to get all of them to settle down. In the end, I couldn't teach much. They started quarreling among themselves as well. I don't remember being like that when I was in primary three.

23/5/09: Had a PW meeting with my group at Lot 1.

24/5/09: Met Paul at the Jurong Regional Library to study, but I didn't really do much. Haha. Had lunch at McDonald's, near Westmall. Went to King Albert Park McDonald's and started on the Math Revision Package with Joseph and Don (the gay).

25/5/09: I think it was because I handed up all my chinese homework, so the teacher got me to be the first to sit for the Chinese oral. Haha. Wow. I did all my chinese assignments. Isn't that amazing?

Mdm Lai scolded the class because we suck. Okay, not really. But she made us sound like the class sucks, because we're slackish and irresponsible, because we're pulling each other down and not meeting deadlines. She says that she won't be surprised if half of us gets retained, and that she's tired of chasing us for forms and money.

Then she told us that Hanif is stressed and it's the first time a Class Manager tells her that he to resign from his position, and that Melanie went for College Day even when she was sick because she was worried that nobody would come, and that she still has to remind us to bring our thermometers and ties.

I guess it's all true and our class kinda sucks for that. But I don't really like her because she doesn't make literature interesting. She doesn't even teach properly.

26/5/09: Xueying came over to play Wii after school. She created her Mii character and played Wii fit! Her Wii fit age is like, thirty plus. And in Wii sports, her age was sixty plus! Hahaha.

Met up with Melina for dinner! Ate as KFC, as usual, and we talked crap about school. Yay. I was saying that maybe taking photos at the bus interchange would become a trend! (But I don't think this will happen, because for some weird reason, people prefer camwhoring in toilets)

27/5/09: Took the bus to Lot 1 with Atiqah, Amalina and Shiya. Ati and Ama went off so I had lunch with Shiya at the place where they sell rice and curry and meat. Yay! I love the food there. I went back to pjc for the choir farewell party. They gave Meiyu and I a 'thank you' flower each, as well as a photo frame with this photo for the sopranos in their gowns.

28/5/09: Met Shiya and we went to buy a birthday present for Chrystabel! We didn't really know what to buy so we got her a bear, a notebook and a star shaped lollipop. I went home to decorate her birthday card and I so did not study for GP.

29/5/09: Celebrated Chrystabel's birthday one day in advance!

The GP paper was horrible. In the morning, the first thing Justin the gay said to me was that if I had checked the seating arrangement for the exams and that it was unlucky that he has to sit next to me. Lol! Lester suddenly appeared and passed my Bel's present, and I had to clarify that it was not my birthday but a present for my friend.

Actually, I'm the unlucky one because sitting in between Suba and Justin stresses me. They are able to write lengthy paragraphs really quickly, while I'm still stuck at some point and thinking about what to write. All the questions were tough! I think I'm going to fail terribly.

I stuffed Bel's present and my bag into Miuyen's locker before the exam. I'm reserving her locker for all future exams! :D

Met Shiya and Chrystabel at the cafe and we passed her the present and the card. Yay! Ate at the canteen with my friends as I was so hungry. I later met Aisha, Melanie and Haiza for PW. Didn't contribute much as we left for lunch at Food Culture along with Siti and Suba, and I had to leave to meet Melina at 2pm.

Melina and I walked around Westmall and looked at stuff like rings and nail polish. I was reading her psychology book along the way. There was a chapter about dreams which is pretty cool. Haha.

We were queuing up for six seats outside Westmall's Swensen's and we had to wait as there was no space for six of us. While waiting, Chrystabel the birthday girl arrived, then Ruishan. Vanessa and Jiaying were the latest as they had extra lessons.

I ordered my food first as I had to leave for CIP after that. We shared the Giant Earthquake ice-cream thingy which was nice. In a short span of time, the bowl was empty.

We took a group photo before I left. Yay! :D

My phone was running out of battery but I managed to text Debby and receive a call from Shun Yu before it died. I went up the escalator of Bukit Batok MRT and turned left because it was a usual thing to do. It was also a retarded thing to do, because I ended up taking the train back to Choa Chu Kang. I only realised that I was on the wrong train when the train doors were closing at Bukit Gombak. Damn.

I think I walked past Haqiz at Bukit Batok MRT station because I heard him say hi. There was this other time he said hi to me at Lot 1, too. I don't know why I'm so blur that I don't really notice him until he says hi.

I thought I was late but it turns out that I was on the same train as Shun Yu. Met her at Buona Vista MRT station and we walked over together. Karina and Debby came later and we waited for the kids. Only three of them turned up this time. Mrs. Hauw came by to talk to us as well.

Had dinner at the hawker centre nearby. I was so tired when I reached home.

And this concludes my really long post.

I'm fine, thanks :)

I was waiting for my turn in this tiny dental clinic at CCK exchange with my mum this afternoon. There was this Malay man with his daughter, waiting for his wife. We watched CJ7 together and laughed at the funny bits.

The toothache I had yesterday was because of this stupid cavity I had a few years ago which worsened and so I had root canal treatment today. It involved painful injections in my mouth (I totally looked at the huge needle and freaked out) which made the left side of my mouth numb so that I wouldn't feel any pain.

The dentist took an x-ray of my teeth and started drilling and poking my tooth with things that look like small screws. She injected some liquid inside and used white fillings which looked like tissue paper. During the procedure, I forgot that I was given an anaesthetic injection and I braced myself for pain whenever she picked up scary looking objects.

Mum, Dad and I went to my sister's NTU hostel to help her pack up her stuff and move everything home. Okay, I didn't really help pack. I just went there to help carry stuff and to see how her room looked like. Mum hates the place but I wouldn't mind staying there.

Drinking and talking was a bit weird but smiling was the worst. After seeing the dentist, I couldn't smile properly. When I tried to smile, my lips were crooked or something. My sister laughed at me because of that. Hahah.

You know what? Now that I think of it, I was being so stupid. It's my fault to have made that decision - but I have no regrets. Things happen for a reason, and one fine day, I'll look back, realise why it happened and figure out why it turned out this way. That will be the day when I'll be able to get over it and move on. But for now, I'm going to make sure that this stupid 沉重的心情/ sinking feeling in my chest disappears. I'll go back to my usual self and stop hurling vulgarities. I'm taking the first step out of being "emo", and I'll have to listen to my own advice: that life is great and being "emo" is unhealthy.

I can do this! :D

WTF

I wasn't really happy this morning because of something and Miuyen could tell. Xueying gave me a hug. Aww, thanks :)

My mood got better as lessons went by and I acted like everything was okay.

But when school was about to end, I felt this pain in my chest. I called him.

On the bus, I tried to predict what he wanted to say.

When we talked, I was on the verge of tears. I teared, not cried. (I only consider it crying when my nose turns horrendously red and when I can't even speak.)

He said what I predicted him to say. I held back more tears.

I went back home and pretended nothing happened. I came out and gave him the gift which I prepared, for two weeks ago.

Went back to school and pretended nothing happened.

I even made a new friend! I don't know how to spell her name but she's the NE rep of 09A03. Chrystabel and Vanessa are NE reps too.

Sitting alone in front of the computer, pretending nothing happened.

I've been pretending for more than a week. I can't keep this up.

No, I don't understand at all. I seriously don't. Maybe I don't want to.

I don't want the nightmare I had to come true.

Why the hell am I crying again?

My collection of short, improper posts.

Monday, 30th March: We had our 2.4km run during PE and I just passed, but my timing was better than usual. After choir, I had dinner with Donovan, Hanif and Khairiah at Pizzahut. It was nice but I was so tired as I slept at 4am the previous night.

Tuesday, 31st March: China beauty prom queen Pei Jun's birthday! During history tutorial, Xueying was talking about "Pioneer's got talent" and I don't know why, but the SC ("Skinnies Club") was formed. LOL. Yeah, something to do with skinny jeans and other activities starting with the letter "S". Hung out at McDonalds after school with Stalker, Xueying and Miuyen. At night over MSN, Shiya told me that I got the St. John Ambulance Brigade Award. My reaction: How come?

Wednesday, 1st April: In the morning, the BBSS people from PJC who gathered at the steps near the parade square were discussing about AAC. I thought that telling me I got the award was Shiya's form of an April Fools' joke, but it wasn't because she heard it from Mr. Chun and knew all the names of those getting awards, too. Oh, and we followed Friday's timetable. Went to Lot 1 with almost half the class. Walked home to rest before going back to school. Mum was encouraging me not to go for choir since I was already home but I decided not to pon choir practice.

Thursday, 2nd April: Had PE (crazy stations shit) and choir. I hate days with PE and choir. It is SUPER TIRING.

Friday, 3rd April: Happy 1st month! :) I met Mary Jane, Karina and Debby at Buona Vista and we went to this place for the CIP project we're going to embark on: tutoring primary school kids!

Saturday, 4th April: I was pissed with my entire family. There was some kind of tension hovering in the air while we drove over to my cousin's place, for my niece's baby shower. The baby is called Anya.

Monday, 6th April: I have to redo PW! My topic sucks. We had our GP debate and the class that came to sit in and listen was Atiqah and Ama's class. After PE was choir. Hanif told me to wait for him at the "normal place", which I find to be amusing.

Tuesday, 7th April: I have no freaking idea why I had chest pains during literature. Stalker thinks that it is due to lack of sleep.

Wednesday, 8th April: Mum got me this pink chinese electronic dictionary.

Friday, 10th April: Good Friday!

Saturday, 11th April: Choral exchange at PJC. The schools which attended this were TPJC, Pasir Ris Crest and Kranji Secondary.

Sunday, 12th April: My sister made me a blogskin! Yay.

Dear blog,

I have 101 things to write about but I do not have the time because I have not completed my homework. JC life is suffocating me. My mother does not understand that I need peace and quiet while doing my homework. She just keeps talking and talking. Loudly. It annoys me. I want to refer her to a therapist. Okay, just kidding. It is my fault for procrastinating.

WHY THE HECK IS EVERYONE TELLING ME TO SLEEP WHEN I HAVE NOT DONE MY HOMEWORK? I do not deserve to sleep!

Confessions of a Shopaholic

The movie, "Confessions of a Shopaholic", CLAIMS that it is based on the best selling novel.

I didn't read all 5 books and I only read the first one, but Luke Brandon definitely isn't the editor of successful savings and Derek Smeath didn't expose Rebecca on the TV show she was on.

There are like so many other things about the movie which is different from the book as well, like how the setting was supposed to be in London and not New York because she only moves to New York with Luke in the second book, but I won't go into detail. Overall, the movie wasn't as nice and as funny as the book was.

And even if I were to judge the movie without comparing it to the book, I would still say that it's lousy because it was filled with slapstick humour and it even became a bit boring at certain parts. They probably should've stuck to the book, which was far more interesting.

It was a waste of ten bucks. Too bad for Mark.

There aren't any good movies to watch these days. I keep criticising all the movies I watch. Maybe I should write my own book and make my own book into a movie next time. I'll perfect my own work and make myself happy. Hah, kidding. I'm not that great or anything. But I'm sure that those who've read the book will agree that the movie sucked.

I haven't started on Project Work.

WHAT THE HELL? MY DAD IS GOING TO PLAY HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL ON WII???!?!?

Oh okay. He's just testing out the new games he bought. He doesn't even know how to sing those songs. Thank goodness. For a second there I thought he was gay.

Yay, 09A04 has a class blog! I think our class blog is really nice. It's good for people like me, 'cause I always forget what homework we have. Wait, it actually doesn't make a difference because I always don't do my homework. But it's still useful.

I went back to BBSS with Melina on Friday to get the School Graduation Certificate (SGC). We asked the general office for our certs and they told us that it was in the meeting room where there was a meeting so we couldn't get it yet. So we loitered around in school. Many other people came back to get their SGCs too.

For some weird and unknown reason, I felt a sense of satisfaction when I got my SGC.
