nureen and michelle are very good friends too :)
both of them told me what they did in class today. according to them, i didn't miss anything important, so i pressume that it was a good thing to have skipped school. nureen helped me to keep all my worksheets and passed them to paul. she also told me to do the english exposition and that there will be a literature test next monday. michelle said that the chemistry test sucked and elliot acted as vinod today.
got single digit marks for both my social studies test and my physics test. the difference is that one is upon 13 and the other is upon 25 :(
shiya just told me that jack sat at my place today. i don't see why that's a big deal, since it is where he is supposed to sit for chinese lessons.

pon school!
280108 MONDAY
this is just a short voice clip of the guys acting out a part in act five scene one of our literature play, 'Off Centre'. hahaha. alan was mr chow, jack acted as vinod and kenneth, as ah seng.
it was so so funny. mr latiff taught us new words! like lavatorical and scatological. then the guys started crapping about mrs toh, like how she told us to have an ammunition of vocabulary to use during the exams and makes the hand gesture of guns, and when she taught us history and said "Britannia rules the waves!"
and alan was saying that we should tell mrs toh about the new english course called scatology! hahaha.
anyway.
dad drove me to school and i could sleep in the car. was earlier than usual, and went up to class after receiving the photos atiqah developed for shiya and i. haha. those photos were taken after our advance nco course passing out parade or something.
was too hungry, so i ate during recess instead of having lunch after school. during physics, miss punitha told us to read the textbook. then some of us didn't understand, and she was like, "now you know the importance of a teacher"
hahaha. and all she did was tell us to read the book lah!
had social studies remedial, then passed my old music theory books to junyan before heading straight home.
only to find out that i don't know how to do my homework.
i miss the time when michelle, leongyew, ruishan and i sat together in class last year in the old campus. before things started becoming complicated, before mdm yeo got me, bryant, and leongyew to switch places. the four of us could really crap a lot and not pay attention in class :D
290108, TUESDAY
reached school earlier and went up to the fourth florr before morning assembly to beat the crowd around the lockers before the first lesson. hahaha. then we went to shake qiuyan's hand vigourously, wishing her happy birthday :)
exposition writing! even though i had gotten at 24 upon 30 for the first exposition i wrote last year, i still dislike writing about these kind of topics. fairytales are much easier. hahaha.
ran 1.2km again for PE. had a stomachache after that.
double math! i felt bad for not doing anything for the math project, so i guess it was only natural that they forgot to put my name on the first slide? elliot joined our team at the last minute, so his name was included with mine just before the presentation.
had fun doing the experiments at the chemistry lab because there was no heating involved. haha. all the colourful solutions!
assembly was oh so boring, with the same old discipline slides and stuff. oh, and the lower secondary assembly cut into ours, so we had to stand outside the hall to wait for mr samuie to finish his speech. by the time we settled down for assembly, half an hour was already gone.

on the way home, shiya told me something. she said that last year when ly and i wanted to sit together, mdm yeo separated us. yet now when we don't want to sit together, mdm yeo switched our places and we end up sitting right next to each other.

oh, and the lamp was very inaccurate, because when i asked if i could eat potato today, the reply was "not today". but when i reached home, dinner was rice, potato and nuggets. haven't drank mum's potato soup in a long time, and it was just DIVINE :)
was fighting to stay awake to do homework, but was too tired.

as you can see, i skipped school today!
the first people i smsed to tell them about this good news of me not going to school were michelle, nureen, and paul. i texted them around 6am plus when i decided not to go to school. then shiya also smsed me during recess to ask why i wasn't in school.
i haven't pon-ed school in a very long time. hahaha. its supposed to be phyiscs lesson now! :D
mummy let me pon school today because she saw how tired i was after training yesterday and how stressed i was with homework. she wanted to go and complain about training but i stopped her :( oh, and also because i had a slight fever in the morning.
i woke up during recess time. yayz. the best thing is that i'd be missing chinese!
the not so good thing would be that i'll miss my chemistry test, but its okay because it gives me extra time to study as i was too tired to do so last night.
it doesn't help when you reach home at 7.45pm after running 1.2km and not having anything to eat for breakfast or lunch.

amusingly cute
spent the whole day at subcentre.
in the morning, shiya and i became casualties for the first aid case studies we had to set for xinying, ngai fong, liping and leepeng.
had cup noodles for lunch. then shuangyu and i trained our team for footdrill. the team consists of qiuyan, huifen, sherlyn , and latifah. hahaha. they kept laughing for no reason, so we initially thought they had gone mad. then during a break when shuangyu left to check on something, they told me the reason why they were laughing. then they told me not to tell.
after they were dismissed, shuangyu went to force it out from them. haha. who knew that shuangyu's cuteness could cause our juniors to suffer from such severe laughing fits?
our team is progressing well :)
hope the ambulance team wont be in such low spirits anymore :)

ozymandias
its finally friday! mr latiff went through the literature ISPL with us today, and i liked all those the comments which he wrote in red :) so i did not fail my lit after all. hahaha.
ran four rounds around the track for PE, then got into groups to play basketball. was in jack's group, unfortunately. (why always him ah? peer tutoring also.) haha. everyone in our group was from 2E4, with the exception of nureen and i.
as peer tutoring after school was cancelled, i had absolutely nothing to do. went to 4e4 classroom for a while, then went ate lunch. was contemplating of going home first before heading to subcentre, but thought of going there together with everyone else.
but something cropped up and everyone felt pissed and we left the school one hour later than the time which we had plan to. bused to jurong subcentre and started training. we forgot what had happened earlier and went on to pour flour over yunqian, the birthday girl :D
my team is awesome :)
qiuyan was so funny when she accidentally stepped on jeaneve, then bowed to her and apologised. hahaha.

for this blog lah. if i were to include the entries from my previous blogs which can be found under the archives section, it would be be the 339th post. which isn't a lot according to paul, since he says that there's 365 days in a year, and i've been blogging since sept 2005.
p/s. i'm gonna change my blogskin because my sister appeared behind me and asked me who designed my blogskin, so i told her it was my friend who helped me to and she said that it was lousy. hah, just knew she'd say that. also because i had already found this skin to replace the current one as i've grown sick of it.
and this is my 200th post! :D

i wish i could score, too
HAPPY BIRTHDAY XUELI! :)
my dad was kind enough to send me to school today, since my mother is on leave at the moment and he doesn't have to send her to work. but he didn't know how to drive to the holding school and so i reached school the same time as i would have if i went myself. hahaha.
the release of the 'O' level results has been the talk of the day.
during math, mrs kee made an announcement over the PA system. we could only hear some parts of it, and the guys kept cheering even though we did not know what the principal was saying. was just laughing throughout at their funny antics.
half day tomorrow isn't like half day at all. school is supposed to end at 10am, but we've got math peer tutoring. and then there's still training after that.
i screwed up my social studies test! :( ms lau was walking around, then she stopped by my table and looked at my answer while i was busy scribbling down my answer. then she told me that the third factor and the first factor that i've written down should've been written together in one paragraph as one whole factor.
i kenw that but i wanted to write it like that because it was according to the social studies textbook but i didn't know how to write the historical emitty between Iraq and Kuwait being a cause of the conflict. oh, and ms lau also said that i didn't explain the first factor properly so it would only get me an L2.
with only 5 minutes left after she walked away, i panicked and tried to salvage my essay. but i couldn't have done very well and i felt so lousy after the test because it was so gonna pull down my grade for combined humanities which is the only subject that i'm currently good at now. wah lau wah lau :(
oh, and michelle was being so anxious when mr latiff asked 'who is michelle?' during literature, our first lesson. and i also heard him say my name. what's up with that? hopefully i didn't fail my literature ispl or something, since i typed out the essays at like, 2am when i was half awake. and i made one of the essay quite technical because it asked for poetic devices, and i didn't really now how to interpret the poem anyway. couldn't think.

watched the first episode of 公主小妹 just now, and it was hilarious and exaggerating. hahaha. can't wait for the next episode!
hadi was asking me over msn just now about the type of guys that i like. hmm. good question. i didn't know how to answer that at all, so he went on to guess that i'd like guys who are romantic and who would always care for me. hmm. is it very typical of girls to like the romantic type or something, due to the influence of tv serials?
okay i went off topic.
so after the ss test we went to the hall to witness the graduates receive their results. they announced all those people with distinctions and whatsoever. i wish i could get those results.
had lunch in the canteen, before meeting the others who were discussing about training without me. then bused with atiqah, amalina and shiya all the way to lot 1.

today's a good day

quoted from an episode of hercules! hahaha. can you believe that my forty-six year old mother and my eighteen year old sister watched hercules while i was at school?
good news! i got eleven upon twelve for my history test! :D
hahaha. after failing so many other tests.
however, i predict that i would fail the add math test we had today.
another piece of good news! mdm shi xu was not in school today. hahaha. oh, and kenneth was the one who read out the announcements this morning. he spoke into the microphone in a funny way, like he couldn't get rid of his "hong kong accent" or something. haha.
anyway, we still had to do the chinese assessment book, but at least we could discuss and make all the noise we want.
the final piece of good news for the day! mrs ooi came to our class during chinese and told us that our chemistry remedial which we were supposed to have after school today was cancelled because of a meeting. yayz.
ate lunch in school with ruo nan, michelle and melina. had to wait to paul to finish his physics test to return the books which i borrowed from him, as well as for my juniors to return the cupboard key.
i can't officially give them the key yet, since there's still a stack of record books at my house. those that i brought to school the other day was just the first half :\
met Ain in the toilet. haha. talked about OBBD! she remembers me as that OBBD girl when she met during the 7km run, i guess. haha. just like yesterday after training when shiya and i met elisa and brenda, and elisa called me the girl next to shiya, or something.
which reminds me of the nickname i gave to leongyew last year, when he was The Guy Who Sits Behind Me, but i can't call him that anymore because it is now jack who sits behind me. instead, leongyew is now The Guy Who Sits On My Left. hahaha.
i was online till 1.30am yesterday, but i had actually fell asleep on the sofa at around 11pm. hahaha. my dad had to wake me up and help me switch off the computer :)
oh, he also bought his white blanket thing a few days ago, which looks like a huge, poofy marshmellow to me.

school daze
chemistry practical: more experiments on qualitative analysis
social studies: more on the Iraq-Kuwait war
additional mathematics: started on a new chapter
recess: rushed up and down to get a first aid kit
chinese: mdm shi xu scolded us for not having a sense of urgency
physics practical: the glass block experiment thingy
PG: goal setting
went for a 10 minutes lunch break with michelle
was joined by jack in the canteen
had math remedial for those people like me who failed the differentiation test
watched michelle as she tried to open her locker many times
she eventually managed to turn the knob thingy correctly
then went for sj to train the juniors for footdrill
2100108, MONDAY
i paid attention during chemistry lesson today! it was because i could actually understand mrs ooi's wonderful english, for a change. maybe it was because of the powerpoint slides.
during CME, we had to get into groups and discuss where we wanted to go to earn our 10 hours of CIP. i wouldn't mind helping out at the library again, because it would be just like during secondary one when we had to do 12 hours of CIP at the library for the librarian badge.
sat on the floor shooing away the ants during literature. they were probably sent by LY.
lunched with shiya and melina at westmall's kfc after school. our social studies remedial was cancelled, and 4E3's math remedial was cancelled too.

we've been having literature lessons outdoors at the fitness area, for dramatising the scenes 4E2 would be presenting during assmembly as it is a 'tradition' for pure lit classes to do so every year.
was punished by mrs ooi to stay back after assembly to do a 2 pages long summary of qualitative analysis, for not doing the chemistry worksheet thingy.
was pissed as well, since she wasted my $2.80 out of my pathetic allowance just to buy the stupid blue ring file. then during chemistry lesson, some people in class told her the bookshop was out of stock, and so she changed it to a black ring file instead.
failed many many tests.
stayed up all night on wednesday (thursday morning) trying to finish up the literature ISPL, but i was too sleepy to think so i ended up doing math. michelle texted me at 2am plus, and we smsed each other until we had to go to school. even talked about the weird dreams we had when we fell asleep for a short period of time.

hahaha. i have a feeling that its mine, but since all ties look the same i can't really tell. maybe i had dropped it or left it lying around in class last week. and i have no idea why i keep losing things.
when i couldn't find my calculator, i had use my sister's for the math test yesterday. then peijun found a calculator in class, waved it around asking if it belonged to anyone. but since all calculators look the same, i couldn't really tell if that calculator was mine until i saw the led stuck at the resert button which confirmed my ownership of the calculator. hahaha.
i shall try not to lose anything else :D

ambulance team training
facts i've learnt today! (i mean yesterday, since is midnight)
oh, and paul told me that he saw vera at jurong entertainment selling flags. haha. but i couldn't get to visit her as i was at lavender at that time. why does he get to see my primary friends when i haven't seen them in ages? hahaha.
i'm not so depressed as i was before because of all those people who tagged and gave me some encouragement. so, thank you and you and you! :D
even though i still feel a little down, but no worries! i shall bear in mind these words of wisdom and try to forget the past, concentrate on the present, and work hard for the future.
hall of fame:
- it is just plain freaky when jiazhe switches to his 'walking first aid manual mode' (p/s this term was invented by me!) and recites exact sentences from certain parts of the book.
- shiva plays the violin!
- junyan's nickname in class his class is the 'flirter'.
- we can find humour (i'm applying Habits Of Mind lehs!) in xingliang when he does CPR and fails to blow air into the dummy.
shiya and i brought the guys to headquarters today for TOC! (Transportation Of Casualty) then we had our lunch break at jurong entertainment centre before proceeding to subcentre for first aid.
throughout training, jiazhe was being immensely annoying due to certain unknown reasons which shall not be stated in this post. hahaha.
oh oh, and by the time we reached subcentre, they had already blindfolded sherlyn to give her a birthday surprise! but as we were too tired to join in the fun, we just watched by peering out of the windows.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic Open House
missed st john training today. as you can see, jiazhe was the DOS. lol. i took this picture from outside the staffroom on the second floor.

all the stuff we got from the open house! :Dokay, so i regretted choosing to visit the school of life sciences and chemical technology at the ngee ann polytechnic open house which we went for on friday.
even though my initial choice was to take a look at the school of film and media studies, i have no idea how i ended up there, looking at some model of a hydrogen powered car. needless to say, i felt that it was a waste of time due to my lack of interest in the subject. it certainly wasn't wise to make a choice based on whether or not i had someone to keep me company.
i couldn't say i didn't learn anything, though. josephine, nureen and i stood in front of two tanks of goldfish. each tank held two fishes which were of the same gender. the students there explained to us the differences between a male goldfish and a female one.
so we learnt that the males had supposedly longer tails and are of a brighter colour as ompared to the females. also, the student at the booth dipped his hand into the tank, grabbed the fish underwater and showed us the underside of the goldfish. the skin of the underside of male fish is whiter, while the female's would have a brownish colour.
the poor fish was struggling under his grip.
anyway, we went back to the lecture room. those who wanted to go home were dismissed, but since i regretted choosing to go for the life sciences and chemical whatever thing, chrystabel, michelle, ruonan and i decided to stay back and find our own way to the school of humanities. now, that was something much more interesting!
upon reaching the building, we were introduced to the courses that were offered there; diploma in chinese studies, early childhood education, psychology and community services. there were different rooms to go into, and we totally ignored chinese studies, since none of us are interested in becoming a chinese teacher. (we were reminded of elliot saying that he wanted to teach chinese during career day. lol!)
saw some magic tricks and this student introduced as to the community services thingy. which wasn't very interesting you know, but we had to be polite and listen to her. then there were psychology tests.
the setting of the last room we entered just amazed me. it was colourful and looked just like a childcare centre. yeap, you've guessed it. early childhood education. we were just standing at the door, beside some small tables and chairs which were meant for children to use, thinking whether or not to go in, when a student just came and talked to us like we were little kids, pulling us over to join them.
she pulled me and i just let her. so the rest followed as well. but we had fun playing! hahaha. at first i found it a little lame and childish. but after we had joined the circle of people, playing the games which the students had planned, i almost immediately felt like i was a kid again. thinking back, it was funny that a group of secondary school students, together with a few from ngee ann and one little boy, were playing like we were all five year olds.
waited for bus 61 together. we walked down to another bus stop because the bus stop right outside ngee ann poly was so crowded. (i waved to samuel when we were at that bus stop, but he completely ignored me and gave me this blur face! hahaha, so much for being friendly.) but we missed the bus because we didn't see that it had arrived. we were just sitting along the steps beside the bus stop, resting. that was kind of dumb. lol.
i would consider getting a diploma in early childhood education, as you would never be out of job. but then again, i can't imagine handling kids everyday. and my parents want me to go to a JC in order to get into a university, etc. you know, the preferred education route to take, here in singapore.

first week of school
the first week of being a sec 4 student.
it really sucks.
MONDAY, 7 JANUARY 08
okay, so i lugged a bag of record books to school in the morning to be deposited into the cca room. and those books were only half of the stack which i had at home. haha.
met yunqian on the way to school. i managed to spot the people she wanted to look for really quickly. hahaha.
boring boring lessons! and all the fuss over ISPLs.
during literature class, we went through some of the poems in the ISPL package. the poem, 'Lady Lazarus', was an eye opener. the poet sounded wacky and her final suicide attempt was sadistic.
mdm shi xu scolded the people who did not write a single word on their chinese ISPL. she asked each of them for the reason for not doing their work, and vanessa told her of her busy holiday schedule. which was really funny when shi lao shi said that she sounded like she was busier than Lee Hsien Loong.
had miss lim to sign some secretarial forms and asked for the key to open the cca room. then taught my successor some cpbs department work before going back to the staff room to collect the copies of the forms.
was already very tired by the end of school. went to kfc to have lunch with yunqian and josephine. we kept disturbing yunqian about something after invading nigou's privacy a little when she asked me to help her return his phone to him. hahaha. zhiwei joined us at kfc while we were eating.
went home by MRT with josephine.
TUESDAY, 8 JANUARY 08
collected money from people early in the morning. went to the chemistry lab and heard from jiaying that she slept at 6am in the morning to complete her homework. like, oh my gosh. i could never do that. well, not without some coffee.
thankfully, ms lau didn't mention anything about our social studies ISPL for the first lesson she had with us.
we also went to the physics lab for some demonstrations of electrostatics and waves. it was just our first lesson with ms punitha and she already compared us with 4E1.
for PG lesson at the end of the day, we had to decide on our class rules, class motto and learn the school mission, vission, and values. the class gave overwhelming contributions and suggestions for the class motto, most of which were declared as nonscence by mdm yeo. hahaha.
math remedial. yawns.
went to the st john classroom after that to continue my job as a loanshark. then headed to mac to study and pass the forms to ma'am faridah.
WEDNESDAY, 9 JANUARY 08
though mrs toh told the class that i did a good job of my history ISPL, i wasn't in the best of mood.
halfway during english lesson, we had to go to the multi purpose room for our health check. as my index number is now 39, i was ready for a long wait until it was my turn. michelle and i went back to class to take our chinese ISPLs over to do while we waited.
i managed to complete the ying yong wen part during recess. was done with the whole ISPL package by finishing the reflection part before the nurse called for the next five.
eye check up. thankfully, i could read all the letters. then at the next station, the nurse asked lame questions like if i wore spectacles and said lame things like the fact i had perfect eyesight. she advised me to take vision breaks and when she told me to go back to class, i thought i heard wrongly so she had to say it twice.
shortly after i went out of the room, i was called back in as they had forgotten to take my height and weight. then they sent me to the next room which was the cca room. the nurses there checked my records before they announced enthusiastically, "congratulations! you're not underweight anymore!" and they had big smiles plastered on their faces, as if they were full of delight that there is one less teenager in this world whose weight did not fall below the acceptable range.
so i nodded my head and said "okay", obviously amused by how thrilled they were. then they told me to have a regular diet, blah blah blah, and that i could go back to class.
i went out of the CCA room and burst into laughter.
because of the health check, we missed a full lesson of math.
after school, we had super lame chmistry remedial at the lab. just copying answers for the experiment we did on monday. went to the st john classroom, passed a copy of the forms to my successor, the next secretary, and headed off to HQ to teach my other successor to buy badges.
at first i thought it would be weird because it was just the two of us. but on the train back i thought that i should be glad it was him, because the whole time we could just keep talking crap and i didnt feel bored. just tired, due to having three pathetic hours of sleep the previous night.
THURSDAY, 10 JANUARY 08
i didn't know there was a tutorial room 6 until we went there for lit. it was just this weird, narrow room. we got into groups and discussed off centre.
i think i can go and bang my head against the wall because i didn't know how to do a single question in the additional math test.
went to the st john classroom after school (wow, this is becoming a routine) to give out the badges, certificates, and to help check their uniform.
someone attituded me over msn. what gives?
FRIDAY, 11 JANUARY 08
lugged my st john uniform to school, along with the cpbs board to be displayed for sec one orientation. met atiqah and yunqian on the way. atiqah told us that they were presenting the awards during morning assembly.
during mother tongue reading in class, mdm yeo showed us that she was in a foul mood by scolding us that people are complaining about the IBMs (international big mouths) in our class, and that people could get single digit for the additional math test when it was on sec three work.
that couldn't be me, because i don't think i could even get 1 mark from that test.
anyway, she wanted to separate those talkative guys. so she got elliot and i to switch places. then she got kenneth to sit in front and the rest to shift a seat behind. which ended up with ly sitting on my left, beatrice on my right, jack behind and suhailah in front.
whoopee! my life would change forever.
for our first PE lesson, we met our new teacher, mr teh. we say we call him 'cher then he say he call us 'dent. hahaha. while waiting to take our height and weight, we studied for our phyiscs test. instead of playing games, we continued studying for the phyiscs test.
i should go and bang my head against the wall again, for not listening to the hints someone gave me over the phone yesterday.
peer tutoring. surprisingly, jack is a pretty good teacher. which was partly because of the not so surprising fact, that he has tuition. our group was the first to be formed; jack, brenda, nureen and i.
forgot to bring my math worksheet so i did the questions on paper. but as i had a short attention span, lack the interest in additional math and have no confidence to do the questions, i left at 1.40pm after mdm yeo said that if we had something on we could go, and also because the attendance clipboards were with me.

MONDAY, 7 JANUARY 08
okay, so i lugged a bag of record books to school in the morning to be deposited into the cca room. and those books were only half of the stack which i had at home. haha.
met yunqian on the way to school. i managed to spot the people she wanted to look for really quickly. hahaha.
boring boring lessons! and all the fuss over ISPLs.
during literature class, we went through some of the poems in the ISPL package. the poem, 'Lady Lazarus', was an eye opener. the poet sounded wacky and her final suicide attempt was sadistic.
mdm shi xu scolded the people who did not write a single word on their chinese ISPL. she asked each of them for the reason for not doing their work, and vanessa told her of her busy holiday schedule. which was really funny when shi lao shi said that she sounded like she was busier than Lee Hsien Loong.
had miss lim to sign some secretarial forms and asked for the key to open the cca room. then taught my successor some cpbs department work before going back to the staff room to collect the copies of the forms.
was already very tired by the end of school. went to kfc to have lunch with yunqian and josephine. we kept disturbing yunqian about something after invading nigou's privacy a little when she asked me to help her return his phone to him. hahaha. zhiwei joined us at kfc while we were eating.
went home by MRT with josephine.
TUESDAY, 8 JANUARY 08
collected money from people early in the morning. went to the chemistry lab and heard from jiaying that she slept at 6am in the morning to complete her homework. like, oh my gosh. i could never do that. well, not without some coffee.
thankfully, ms lau didn't mention anything about our social studies ISPL for the first lesson she had with us.
we also went to the physics lab for some demonstrations of electrostatics and waves. it was just our first lesson with ms punitha and she already compared us with 4E1.
for PG lesson at the end of the day, we had to decide on our class rules, class motto and learn the school mission, vission, and values. the class gave overwhelming contributions and suggestions for the class motto, most of which were declared as nonscence by mdm yeo. hahaha.
math remedial. yawns.
went to the st john classroom after that to continue my job as a loanshark. then headed to mac to study and pass the forms to ma'am faridah.
WEDNESDAY, 9 JANUARY 08
though mrs toh told the class that i did a good job of my history ISPL, i wasn't in the best of mood.
halfway during english lesson, we had to go to the multi purpose room for our health check. as my index number is now 39, i was ready for a long wait until it was my turn. michelle and i went back to class to take our chinese ISPLs over to do while we waited.
i managed to complete the ying yong wen part during recess. was done with the whole ISPL package by finishing the reflection part before the nurse called for the next five.
eye check up. thankfully, i could read all the letters. then at the next station, the nurse asked lame questions like if i wore spectacles and said lame things like the fact i had perfect eyesight. she advised me to take vision breaks and when she told me to go back to class, i thought i heard wrongly so she had to say it twice.
shortly after i went out of the room, i was called back in as they had forgotten to take my height and weight. then they sent me to the next room which was the cca room. the nurses there checked my records before they announced enthusiastically, "congratulations! you're not underweight anymore!" and they had big smiles plastered on their faces, as if they were full of delight that there is one less teenager in this world whose weight did not fall below the acceptable range.
so i nodded my head and said "okay", obviously amused by how thrilled they were. then they told me to have a regular diet, blah blah blah, and that i could go back to class.
i went out of the CCA room and burst into laughter.
because of the health check, we missed a full lesson of math.
after school, we had super lame chmistry remedial at the lab. just copying answers for the experiment we did on monday. went to the st john classroom, passed a copy of the forms to my successor, the next secretary, and headed off to HQ to teach my other successor to buy badges.
at first i thought it would be weird because it was just the two of us. but on the train back i thought that i should be glad it was him, because the whole time we could just keep talking crap and i didnt feel bored. just tired, due to having three pathetic hours of sleep the previous night.
THURSDAY, 10 JANUARY 08
i didn't know there was a tutorial room 6 until we went there for lit. it was just this weird, narrow room. we got into groups and discussed off centre.
i think i can go and bang my head against the wall because i didn't know how to do a single question in the additional math test.
went to the st john classroom after school (wow, this is becoming a routine) to give out the badges, certificates, and to help check their uniform.

FRIDAY, 11 JANUARY 08
lugged my st john uniform to school, along with the cpbs board to be displayed for sec one orientation. met atiqah and yunqian on the way. atiqah told us that they were presenting the awards during morning assembly.
during mother tongue reading in class, mdm yeo showed us that she was in a foul mood by scolding us that people are complaining about the IBMs (international big mouths) in our class, and that people could get single digit for the additional math test when it was on sec three work.
that couldn't be me, because i don't think i could even get 1 mark from that test.
anyway, she wanted to separate those talkative guys. so she got elliot and i to switch places. then she got kenneth to sit in front and the rest to shift a seat behind. which ended up with ly sitting on my left, beatrice on my right, jack behind and suhailah in front.
whoopee! my life would change forever.
for our first PE lesson, we met our new teacher, mr teh. we say we call him 'cher then he say he call us 'dent. hahaha. while waiting to take our height and weight, we studied for our phyiscs test. instead of playing games, we continued studying for the phyiscs test.

fairytale of 2e6
today has been a hectic day. lazy to blog about it. maybe at the end of the week.
so i shall entertain you with something i wrote TWO YEARS AGO which i dug up from my PROJECTS FOLDER. hahaha. i think its hilarious and stupid.
but who cares.
NOTE: as i did not edit it at all, it is exactly the way it was when i first wrote it two years ago. so there are probably some grammar mistakes and what not. and i might have wrote it based on the relationships/ friendships in 2006. sorry if i offend anyone in this crappy story- i dont mean to.

Once upon a time, there lived a fair maiden by the name of nureeeeeeeeeeeeeen. You must always know how many eee’s there are in her name if not you will be beheaded by the king and queen, paulina threehill and xueliloves-bulldogs. Nureeeeeeeeeeeeeen’s sister, koh yiting, is betrothed to the future prince, Alfredo sauce IV. Anyone who makes fun of king and queen’s daughter or their son-in-law’s name is beheaded also. King paulina’s mother, Chrystabel Gonh, is the empress dowager of the kingdom. She would sometimes invite her friend from the neighboring kingdom, Debs the Wan, over for tea in the royal dining hall. The king’s advisor is lee jiajun, who helps to plan and organize royal banquets and parties in the kingdom and advises the king of the important decisions king paulina has to make. Since there is so much beheading going around, there is an executioner Nicholas, who is kind of the keeper of the palace. He ensures the security of the palace and is in charge of the dungeons and prison cells.
One day, Alfredo sauce the fourth and fair maiden yiting was having a lovely evening stroll in the royal garden. As Alfredo sauce the fourth started leaning forward to plant a kiss upon the smooth and radiant cheek of princess yiting, the evil troll by the name of lee maomao suddenly stormed into their romantic moment bellowing, “jonathan leong sucks!” which shook the palace. He was sentenced to imprisonment of the cold toilet bowl. This shows that you must say that jonathan leong from Singapore Idol rocks and always agree with the writer or you will receive bad karma.
Anyway, there was this cute knight by the name of yap zhengjie who came to the kingdom on his gorgeous white horse and claimed to have slayed the fearsome water dragon who lived in the waters of the here-lies-the-all-mighty-water-dragon lake. He brought the dragon’s head, which was made of ice, along the way to threehill’s palace but it seemed to have melted as the merciless scorching sun was shining very brightly. He presented the bucket of water to king paulina and the king was extremely pleased.
On his way out looking as pleased as punch, zhengjie the knight caught sight of princess nureeeeeeeeeeeeeen in the palace hallways with her cousin, princess pei junny and fell in love with princess nureeeeeeeeeeeeeen…………..’s huge, framed portrait hanging on the wall in the hallway. It was a portrait of nureeeeeeeeeeeeeen sketched by king’s advisor cum the well known artist lee jiajun, who even has his own fan club because he is very cute and his works displayed at the art museum are priced for over a billion zillion million trillion pillion gazillion dollars. Knight zhengjie walked along the corridor and saw another piece of artwork which looked like blotches of ink, and at the bottom right hand corner of the painting were the words: ‘made by alfredo sauce’ on it. It wasn’t clear if the painting was made by this Alfredo sauce the first, Alfredo sauce IV’s late great-grandfather, or was it made by the brand, alfredo sauce. Whatever it was, he made a mental note to get hold of some alfredo sauce next time he goes grocery shopping.
By the way, princess pei junny is the cousin to princess nureeeeeeeeeeeeeen and princess yiting. Her father, who is king paulina’s brother, is prince Benjamin. Prince Benjamin has had a lot of girlfriends but has not settled down with one. All three princesses are good friends with one of the ladies-in-waiting, Denise. Denise attends to them and sometimes make tonic for them to drink, which always has a magically sweet taste.
The princesses’ nureeeeeeeeeeeeeen and yiting have two bodyguards, Bertrand and Ming Shen. King paulina employed them to take care of his daughters, as well as look out for his niece, princess pei junny. These two bodyguards carry guns, wear tuxedos and black sunglasses, having a radio earpiece on each of their ears, which they use to communicate to each other or to people at the palace. They are swift and alert, which makes them the best for this job that entrusts them with the lives of his majesty’s daughters. They protect the princesses in case of any form of attack, danger, or assault, and follow them wherever they go.
The court jester, or as known as the joker, is kuan keong. Although he is not so old fashioned to dress the way jesters do in the Middle Ages, with bright coloured clothing and funny hats with jingly bells at the end, as soon as he enters a room and begin with his funny acts, people start laughing. He is the funniest guy in the kingdom but sometimes his crude jokes may be insulting and sarcastic, which is the reason why some people dislike him at times. Because of his sense of humour, there is also a fan club made for him, in conjunction with LJJ FC (lee jiajun fan club), although it is not as popular because this joker is currently taken. His heart has been stolen from a princess of a distant kingdom, the one whom he has dedicated his life and is the only one for him.
In the huge palace, there is a magical chamber made specially for the wizard tan weijie, who helps king paulina with his magic potions, antidotes, and spells. The palace chief chef and his helpers, who prepare all the royal dishes, is yeo weimin. It is rumored that his head, that resembles an egg, is the secret of his success of producing the finest delicacies you have ever tasted. Some say it contains the most delicious sauces and ingredients we have never seen. Of course, those are just rumors. What lies in that big egg like head is a mystery unknown to us. But the peasants and villagers are assured that king paulina has chosen wisely of those who are working in the palace as his foresight has never been wrong.
At the far side of the land, there is a dark side of the kingdom located in the south, where the evil witch, HX lives. She used to be known as Mrs. you know I know that you know that I know that you know that she knows that we know that they have known the unknown, but her husband disappeared. Some say she has eaten him alive, while others think that she has enslaved him as her zombie undead like creature who serves her from hand to foot. We may never know the truth, as anyone who goes near her scary castle is killed instantly. There is also an invisible force field around her lair, which prevents trespassers from going anywhere near her home. She comes out of her dark castle once in every seven years, as seven is the most magical number. Witch HX and wizard weijie have been rivals and enemies since the dawn of time, and although weijie says that there is no such thing as seven being the most magical number, the king paulina threehill and queen xueliloves-bulldogs always take extra precautionary measures once in every seven years, as we may never know how the wicked witch HX is going to strike during that period of time.

He was locked in there for one minute until king paulina felt sorry for him and released him for a court session about his serious offense. Convict lee maomao pleaded and ask for forgiveness from the Supreme Court and admitted his mistake and assured that he would repent. The jury, consisting of Yee Jen Siong, Samuel, Ning Zhi, Vanessa Voong, and Beatrice Tan, decided to let him go. Lee maomao then started on his sad tale that he stumbled upon a delicious ice cream cone with his favorite flavor on the ground, and ate it up. He then started evolving into a troll. She uses her element to have characteristics of marine animals, which her favourite is fish, and is able to breathe underwater and communicate with the animals in the sea like dolphins and whales. She can control the form of water and she practices her skills at the beautiful waterfall in the forest. The master of the fire element is fairy Jingyi. She has heat vision and is able to blast out fire and burn an object with her fingertips.
Fairy Wenxi had received the element of light at birth, which her light and cheerful personality suits her element very well. Her source of energy is from the sun and she fights off enemies with her lightning bolts. Her light rays are powerful and also useful in the dark. The air element is taken by fairy Wendy, with her awesome flying techniques and graceful dances. She likes dancing joyfully in the wind, and has the power of invisibility as she can blend into the air molecules and is able to create strong gusts of wind. She can cause hurricanes and tornados or even sandstorms.
Shuangyu and Jingyi have both successfully earned the power of healing, while Wenxi and Wendy gained the power of teleportation. The four fairies keep the peace in the part of the west.
There are villages at the North and East of the kingdom, and the palace is situated in the center of the land. In the North, it is warrior Jun Ting’s homeland. It is where he grew up in and learnt all his taekwondo moves. He lives there in his humble home with his wife Ning Zhi and son, Samuel. Sometimes they attend court sessions to help the king be part of the jury. Jun Ting is king paulina’s loyal warrior, and will always be there to help the king during the time of need.
Lee maomao, the guy who was once a troll, is a wanderer who grew up in the East and went out to seek adventure. He was noticed by king paulina and was made a warrior as well, to serve the kingdom and garner loyalty and patriotism from the people.
The warriors, troops, and soldiers of the kingdom are all under the leadership of General Lim Kai Herng. He leads the army troops which are split into different sections which each warrior is in charge of, and has training schedules to be physically fit and defend the kingdom. Although he can get quite big headed at times saying “KH is KING”, king paulina does not mind much. But if a soldier makes him angry, stay away. General Lim Kai Herng may go into a rage and explode, which makes him up to the job to ensure the trainings are tough and the defense systems are excellent. When he goes nuts about fighting and becomes a bit sadistic at the battlefield, he would exclaim enthusiastically for his soldiers to “rip out their guts!!” and “skewer the nostrils!! Make them suffer!” well, somewhat like that.
There is a wrestling arena at the village in the North, and the famous unbeatable wrestler so far is Jasher. There have been some mindless people who challenged him for the cash prize, but they just contributed to the business of the wrestling arena, entertaining more spectators. And after being beaten, they end up coming out of the building talking like twits, a black eye here and teeth hanging out of their broken jaw. Peasants go there to watch the show, bidding on the outcome of each match.
Zili is the famous name you would probably hear about the kingdom, as he is the famous rebel of the society. Zili and his gang start riots and strikes, but only when they feel that something is not right or that there is some form of injustice in the land. They are unafraid to speak their mind and scold vulgarities whenever they want. Rebellious as they are, they like to go against the higher authority and make their voices heard.
In the southwest, there is a stadium where the annual Olympic Games are held. It is an exciting event not to be missed and this year’s Olympic Champion is Alvin. He loves Christ and his favorite book of all time is the bible. He always carries it in his hand and prays to God before the competition. A cross is worn around his neck to be secure and represent that God will be with him no matter what happens. His Christianity and behaviour of placing God with such high respect must have brought about his shining rise to his dream of being an Olympic champion, which he has fulfilled.

The empress dowager Chrystabel sent for the royal palace wizard Weijie then gave him a potion to go back to his normal self again.
Mr. Bryant Ng and Mr. Francisco Leon Jordan are usually found dressed in smart looking suits as they are always busy with court cases, meeting clients every single day. They are very good in the English language and are the best two to look for about advice for legal matters. Their style of speaking and writing is certainly intimidating, but the only thing is that they have a funny accent when speaking the second language, mandarin.
The enchanted land of the west is where the fairies live, prancing around doing their little dances and fluttering their shimmering and sparkly wings. These fairies are tiny creatures who live at the heart of the forest of the west. They live in a tree and use mushrooms as umbrellas. They have small amount of magical powers and spend their time playing and sprinkling glitter dust. The fairies that inhabit the land of the west have four main elements.
The leader of the water element is fairy Shuangyu. She uses her element to have characteristics of marine animals, which her favourite is fish, and is able to breathe underwater and communicate with the animals in the sea like dolphins and whales. She can control the form of water and she practices her skills at the beautiful waterfall in the forest. The master of the fire element is fairy Jingyi. She has heat vision and is able to blast out fire and burn an object with her fingertips.
Fairy Wenxi had received the element of light at birth, which her light and cheerful personality suits her element very well. Her source of energy is from the sun and she fights off enemies with her lightning bolts. Her light rays are powerful and also useful in the dark. The air element is taken by fairy Wendy, with her awesome flying techniques and graceful dances. She likes dancing joyfully in the wind, and has the power of invisibility as she can blend into the air molecules and is able to create strong gusts of wind. She can cause hurricanes and tornados or even sandstorms.
Shuangyu and Jingyi have both successfully earned the power of healing, while Wenxi and Wendy gained the power of teleportation. The four fairies keep the peace in the part of the west.
There are villages at the North and East of the kingdom, and the palace is situated in the center of the land. In the North, it is warrior Jun Ting’s homeland. It is where he grew up in and learnt all his taekwondo moves. He lives there in his humble home with his wife Ning Zhi and son, Samuel. Sometimes they attend court sessions to help the king be part of the jury. Jun Ting is king paulina’s loyal warrior, and will always be there to help the king during the time of need.
Lee maomao, the guy who was once a troll, is a wanderer who grew up in the East and went out to seek adventure. He was noticed by king paulina and was made a warrior as well, to serve the kingdom and garner loyalty and patriotism from the people.
The warriors, troops, and soldiers of the kingdom are all under the leadership of General Lim Kai Herng. He leads the army troops which are split into different sections which each warrior is in charge of, and has training schedules to be physically fit and defend the kingdom. Although he can get quite big headed at times saying “KH is KING”, king paulina does not mind much. But if a soldier makes him angry, stay away. General Lim Kai Herng may go into a rage and explode, which makes him up to the job to ensure the trainings are tough and the defense systems are excellent. When he goes nuts about fighting and becomes a bit sadistic at the battlefield, he would exclaim enthusiastically for his soldiers to “rip out their guts!!” and “skewer the nostrils!! Make them suffer!” well, somewhat like that.
There is a wrestling arena at the village in the North, and the famous unbeatable wrestler so far is Jasher. There have been some mindless people who challenged him for the cash prize, but they just contributed to the business of the wrestling arena, entertaining more spectators. And after being beaten, they end up coming out of the building talking like twits, a black eye here and teeth hanging out of their broken jaw. Peasants go there to watch the show, bidding on the outcome of each match.
Zili is the famous name you would probably hear about the kingdom, as he is the famous rebel of the society. Zili and his gang start riots and strikes, but only when they feel that something is not right or that there is some form of injustice in the land. They are unafraid to speak their mind and scold vulgarities whenever they want. Rebellious as they are, they like to go against the higher authority and make their voices heard.
In the southwest, there is a stadium where the annual Olympic Games are held. It is an exciting event not to be missed and this year’s Olympic Champion is Alvin. He loves Christ and his favorite book of all time is the bible. He always carries it in his hand and prays to God before the competition. A cross is worn around his neck to be secure and represent that God will be with him no matter what happens. His Christianity and behaviour of placing God with such high respect must have brought about his shining rise to his dream of being an Olympic champion, which he has fulfilled.

career day
040108, Friday
with shiya and khadeza.
ate lunch at kfc with shiya, khadeza, ruonan and michelle before going home.
and just when i was about to go out later, it started raining heavily. met meirong, yiting and shiya at choa chu kang. wore my mother's grey heels, so that i could look tall :D
haha no lah, actually i wore them to match my grey dress. but still. i looked as tall as yiting you know. that's my big accomplishment for the day.
we met chrystabel at jurong. then we went to marina square for dinner. at the foodcourt, we found leongyew, ruishan, and some others who were there to eat as well.
was crapping. ALOT :)
went to the esplanade, where we all had to gather in the lobby.

anyway, the whole outfit is my sister's. and the bag belongs to my mum. whoa, i feel old. only the shoes are mine, which were new and as it was my first time wearing it, i had blisters on my heel.
ouch.

is it just me, or do my posts seem to be getting less lengthy and consist of more photos? has my blogging style become worse? oh my gosh. can somebody please clarify my doubts? am i a stupid hopeless nutcase who chose this combination just for literature and history, despite the fact that i do not have the aptitude for math and sciences? and am i being childish to target to score less than 15 points for the O levels just because i want to beat my sister's score? am i thinking too much? should i find an tutor or should i drop add math? wait, is it even possible to drop add math now? is that even an option? what kind of bag should i carry tomorrow to match the business outfit thing? do i even have time to think about all this crap with so much work that i have not done?
okay. one more resolution: stop asking inane questions.

social etiquette
sat for this NE quiz in the morning at CP4.
had a short lesson on social etiquette. it was really dumb. i just dont see the point for this.
went to collect the locker renewal receipt. (last year the queue was super long lor, so must grab the chance when there weren't many people. be kiasu! :D) then bused to swensen's.
sat at the table with yutong, jiaying, bharani, mark, shahilah, suhailah, prakash, jack and nureen.
we were making fun of the whole dining etiquette thing, and only ate in the "proper" manner that they had told us to whenever the instructors came around to watch us, or take photos.
other than that it was super boring can. and peanut butter flavoured ice cream for dessert? ughhh.
and i held in my burps, okay! :D
fell asleep on the way back, too tired.
waited for 77 with michelle, khadeza, debby and josephine. managed to find a seat on the bus, only to be disturbed by three upper sec guys from our school. i had no idea who they were, but they sat at the last row just behind me and kept banging on my chair, saying stupid things like 'eh he wants your number leh.'
so i listened to my ipod and ignored them.
mdm yeo reminded us of the additional math test next thursday. she also said that she will make those who did badly to stay back on friday in addition to the usual tuesday remedials that we will be having every other week. and if we were really, really weak, she would ask us to join 4E1 for remedials too.
i just feel like telling her that i want to drop add math and not take the test.
this is so not a good start to 2008.

first day of school
hahaha. this has got to be the funniest first day of school ever.
i dont like bowling, complained that the air conditioning was too cold, didn't follow the methods that the instructors had taught us, grumbled that it was boring to throw the super heavy ball just to hit some cones, ...
and yet i got a trophy??
2nd runner up for girls! had a score of 114. haha. how unexpected.
this was from the mini competition thing. trophies were given out to the top 5 girls and guys.
also received this notepad thing. i didnt hear my name being called, but i think i got it for hitting two strikes in a row. hahaha.
maybe this is a good start to 2008! :D
this was my second time bowling, so maybe i was just lucky. or maybe it was because i had POTATO POWER after eating fries during the 10 minutes break given after practicing a bit of bowling :)
the instructor at my side saw my score and came over to help me because he said it was the highest score for the girls so far (at that time lah, due to my first two strikes. and also the third one when i managed to bowl a spare). hahaha. but after he told me where to stand and how to aim in order to hit the spares, i felt more tense and missed. LOL.
nureen, shahilah, suhailah and i were in lane 26. the people sitting opposite us in lane 25 were denise, peijun, ruishan and wenxin. and the blue and yellow bowling shoes looked like clown shoes. hahaha. and the classes there today were 4e2, 4e3 and 4e5.
after bowling today, nureen and i headed to vivocity. i was already very full since i ate a lot of fries so i just had a drink at superdog, while she ate a hotdog. haha.
okay, so before we went to superbowl at safra (mount faber), i happened to meet xueli and melina at bukit batok bus interchange. had a nice chat in bus 77A on the way to school. after flag raising, there was the usual staff introduction thing. then we went to our new classroom; 4e2. its not the corner classroom so its smaller than the 3e2 classroom.
anyway, we arranged the tables and chairs in single files. mdm yeo read out our new index numbers. they dont separate the guys and girls anymore, so now the classlist is by solely alphabetical order, guys and girls mixed. and guess what?
my index number is now 39.
wayyy at the back. hahaha. i still like my index number last year: 27!
just now paul got me to call him and he told me that he saw marcus on bus 188.
i asked if he was sure it was marcus, and he said that it should be him as he looks like how he looks like on his friendster profile. so i asked if he was wearing SJI uniform and he said he was.
then paul told me to sms marcus and ask if he stayed at bukit batok. but i thought that would make me sound like i was stalking him. hahaha.
but i smsed him anyway and it was really him.

new year 08
didnt know the train only takes 20 minutes from cck to dover, so i had to wait for nureen. then we went to vivocity for some shopping! :D
had chili cheese fries at superdog for dinner :)
okay lah, i know i very zilian, in fitting room also take photo of myself. but cannot help it right? this $129.90 dress super nice can!
i bought a green top from forever 21 for $38. nureen bought some accessories and a brown top.
headed to wisma atria to shop some more. then the guys called and asked us to meet them at heeren. so we left shortly after a bit more shopping and met up with zhengjie, paul, kuankeong, matthew, and nicholas.
later, we went to cineleisure and joined jingyi, shuangyu and wenxi. then we walked down to douby ghaut, where they went to the soundproof arcade. they went in to play while paul, nureen and i just sat outside to chat.

then we took a train down, passed through citylink mall, went to the esplanade and squeezed through the crowd. managed to get a space on the road which was closed for bo liao people like us to view the fireworks display. sat there and waited for 1 hour plus. listened to music on my ipod to pass time. (i very kiasu lor, also brought my mp3.)
at exactly 12 midnight, the fireworks display started and it lasted for about ten minutes. we stepped onto the yellow barricades to have a good view :D

i couldn't fall asleep even though it was almost 3am in the morning, so i used my ipod to type a testimonial as my mother would scold me if she caught me using the computer at such a deathly hour.
so cool right? and i thought it wouldn't work. hahaha.
i fell asleep at around 5am in the morning, after talking to paul on the phone.
and i only got 4 hours of sleep can! :(
however, i had two beds to myself as my sister was spending the night at her friend's house :D
anyway, IM SUPER DUPER UBER HAPPY RIGHT NOW because my mother bought me the $129.90 dress from esprit! she brought me to causeway point today to get it. there weren't anymore dresses which were black in colour, so i got a grey one instead. nevertheless, its pretty and my mother got it at a discount of $109.90 :D
