dental appointment

went to the dentist this morning. that guy is my mother's brother's friend. there were two nurses there and when one of them spoke i recognised her voice as she was the one who suddenly called me yesterday morning and said that i have an appointment. after writing down my particulars and stuff, me and mammo went into the room. mammo told him i had a toothache and i showed him the tooth which was on the left side of my mouth, among the bottom row of teeth.

the first thing he said when he checked my teeth was, "have you ever considered wearing ______?" argh. not again. the mobile dentist last year had already asked this question. vera got them yesterday (i cant wait to see!) but its painful. he found a cavity in my tooth on the top row instead, diagonally above the tooth that hurts. and he says the hole is quite big lor. two holes in fact. hahahah. ate too many sweets. so he did some filings, blahblah. quite familiar with the tools thingys he uses 'cause in primary school i was always called up to go to the school dentist. yay! could skip class. and the dentist was nice. she gave me a 'i love my dentist' sticker once. but later they changed the school dentist to some other woman and i wasnt called up for anymore checks ups.

then the nurse handed this screwdriver thingy to the dentist to do something to my teeth. eeks. so scary. and some device which the dentist used while the nurse had to cover my mouth using a transparent orange plastic thing. spent half an hour inside there just filling up some holes. only a bit pain at first- not as pain as i expected. mammo asked the dentist some questions about wearing ______ (fill in the blanks) and we got an MC plus a card and a form before we paid and went off.

went on a shopping spree with mammo after eating lunch. i saw these 3 different designs of emily the strange bags in westmall, one of them i liked better than the rest. and it was only $10 each! 2 for $18 somemore. even though i persuaded her and told her the emily the strange bag at more than words was more expensive than this and it is very cheap considering that its an emily the strange bag, she still didn't buy it for me. )':

but what she did buy for me was:
  • a pair of star shaped earrings from watts in
  • 2 pairs of black socks from may fashion
  • a purple skirt
  • a black skirt
  • a pair of grey shorts
  • a pair of dark blue shorts
    (above four from this fashion)

met wendy at the bukit batok mrt platform on our way home.

last week's singapore idol Joakim got in. yayy. although his version of 'geek in the pink' originally by jason mraz wasnt that good, he still got in. probably because he's so cute! im supporting Emilee and Meryl this week. hope they get in later during the results show.

new timetable

today the first thing in the morning i did was to on the computer cause the new semester 2 timetable is out today.

also went to see the teachers timetable and the timetable for the rooms in school.

havent done the following holiday homework
  • english compo
('The Day That Changed My Life'. seriously. being only 13 years and 6 months old, i cant think of any life changing experiences. jie says 'write that the day that changed your life was the day that you were born'. hahas. she and mammo and daddy gave me ideas but i still dont know how to write. dont have the feeling to write anyway)
  • english journal
(i need one more article and one about an event and whether i would participate in it or not. probably singapore idol or world cup...)
  • chinese yingyongwen
(will reluctantly do, if not people will say me 'cause im the unlucky chosen one to be the CL rep)
  • chinese zao ju
    (ask MAMMO)
  • math- 4 questions left
(ask mr.tan aka leo aka nerdy tution teacher who reminds me of loser)

they should abolish holiday homework.

longlong rants

yesterday vanessa xueli and wenxi came over to my house to "do pbl" once again. lols. we have a weird definition of doing pbl. xueli came at around 1.50 and thought she was late when they said to come to my house at 1.30. but vanessa and wenxi came later and the asked me for my block and unit number. i guess the security guard wanted to know but he just spoke to me and asked whether to let them in. and all of them forgot which floor i stayed.

okay. this is how we "did pbl".
  • went to each others blogs
  • friendster-ed for a while
  • talked to bertrand on msn
  • disturbed vanessa
  • bluffed larry on msn
  • disturbed xueli
  • spammed maomao
  • disturbed me
  • jie disturbed wenxi
    (said she was a worm)
  • went to the toilet
  • the pet lobster was very still
  • didnt moved even though i dripped water on it
(usually when i do that it will wave its claws at me)
  • or when i tapped the glass
    (normally it will back away)
  • or even when i took the container of fish food that we feed him close to the tank
(most of the time it would use its claws and scratch the glass of the tank)
  • it didnt move at all
  • wenxi picked up the tank and shook the whole thing
  • and it still didnt move
  • so we asked the owner whether it was dead
  • turns out that it really died
(boohoo. why must the good die young?!?)
  • read some funny emails
  • watched some funny videos
  • sprayed out water using the bidet
  • at 4 plus we decided to go out to continue our next part of "doing pbl"
(but not before wenxi went to the toilet to make her hair)
  • which was to take neoprints!
  • brought them to the new machine in the arcade once again
    (see previous posts)
  • but it wasnt as nice as the neoprints ive taken using the same machine
  • think its because there are too many people
  • cause the neoprints i took in that machine
2 to 3 people still okay
but four people not very nice
  • while taking we saw the neoprint nureen shuangyu and i took last friday
  • then since nobody when in to take neos we had unlimited time
  • so me and wenxi took quite some time to decorate the neoprints
  • oops. sorry to keep xueli and vanessa waiting
  • wenxi and i wanted to take neoprints again
  • xueli and vanessa werent so enthusiastic about it
  • but eventually they gave in when wenxi promised not to take so long decorating
  • we used the machine that we had used last time in march when we also "did pbl"
  • but the second set of neoprints came out worse
  • and i blinked in one of the shots!
  • after that we went to popular 'cause while decorating jie asked me to buy her liquid paper
  • then walked home

had footdrill training this morning. jingyi, shuangyu, and atiqah are in the senior nursing team for footdrill competition while me, shiya, yunqian, and amalina are in the mixed team. wanyee is our commander.

ma'am liping checked our full-u after training. she asked if i spent a lot of time putting the badges on my uniform. lols. then she asked if it was my maid who helped me do the badges. i think i took quite long. i was talking on the phone with the hp pressed against my ear and shoulder while sitting on the bed putting the badges on the left sleeve until my neck was sore. and im too much of a perfectionist so when theyre crooked i kept taking it out and putting it back in. so my sleeve has a lot of holes. hahaha. st john day is next week. eeks. have to wear full-u for the whole day.

(you can ignore the next 4 prargraphs. just some unimportant rants.)

oops. fa dai for a while just now. haiis. had a flashback about something. now i feel so depressed. it was my last choir practice lah. and she had to ruin it. argh. i can never forget that. ive been singing since young. during kindergarten we had to put up a performance every year. and i liked this guy. i still can remember his full name. his initials are LJQ. i went to church of the holy cross playcentre (ahh super long name) which was a catholic kindergarten. every morning we would pray to God and once we were brought to the statue of Mary outside the school building. i was the shortest so i lined up in front and the girl behind me was a snob and kept stepping on my shoes. hahaha. and i liked to make fun of her name. who wouldnt? 'bao le'. im full! such a stupid name. at that time we were young and innocent so she didnt make fun of my name. i remember once the teacher asked LJQ to help me with this art and craft catepillar thing which he did rather reluctantly. and when we were in K2, we had to put up this dance. it required a boy to partner with a girl, and somehow i partnered with LJQ. but one day during a practice the princial mrs seow (i called her mrs seow the kok kok shoes 'cause she always wore high heels which made the kok-kok sound whereever she went) suddenly came to look for me. then she said i was chosen to read this bible thingy on that day with this guy called francis. (who ended up going to nhps too and we were in the same group -jupiter- in p6 camp. curly hair dude. he also had to leave on the last day of camp for piano exams. yay! skipped area cleaning. he was in EM1. oh hate those EM1 people. they think theyre so smart. dont even talk about the gifted students. they think they're ALL THAT. can never forget that time when the girls cheated in the captains ball interclass competition. everyone seemed to be rooting for us cause they didnt want the stuck up gifted people to win but they cheated by playing rough and pushing and falling down on one of the girls. plus the teacher who judged the match was BIAS. then the boys were like 'aiyo we win champion in soccer but you all only get 2nd'. i heard in the bus from those gifted guys that 6b boys were very rough in the soccer match and stuff. oh yeah. we kicked their asses in soccer. in your snoobish faces!) obviously i was shocked and was thinking, 'why me?' so i went home to complain to me mummy 'cause i wanted to perform with LJQ, duh. and she asked the principal whether i sould dance instead but she was suddenly full of praise about me and said my english was very good thats why i was chosen to read the bible thingy, blahblahblah. so okay. fine. they got this girl named beatrice who would always sit at the back of the school bus which drove us home and talk a lot loudly with her friends there, to replace me. i held this black and small but very thick book and read out some lines inside. but i didnt really understand anything. a prayer was typed out and during art and craft we had to paste it on coloured paper as the border, punch a hole at the top and tie a string. i hung it at the doorknob of my bedroom door and said it before i went to sleep every night. it was only the last day of school. we went to the hall (which i hate cause even though they have the air con already they still need to on the ceiling fans, which makes it ultra cold) and had to sit in a circle- boy girl boy girl. then the girls were told to face to the right while the boys were told to turn left while we played some games. guess who sat on my right? yup, LJQ. at the end of the day we said goodbye to each other and... that concludes my kindergarten school life.

when i first joined choir in primary 3 mdm lee auditioned me by pressing the keys on the piano and singing "la" after it. piece of cake. you have to do that for the aural part of piano exams all the time, which i started learning in primary one after i finished learning how to play the organ. i got put into soprano. at that time there were only two groups, soprano and alto. mdm lee hired a conductor and we got a silver for SYF. in primary 4 we had a new conductor- mr lee, who likes to tell us that he was a discipline master previously whenever we got noisy. it was fun when he taught the nhps choir during that year. the songs i love most are 'part of your world' which we sang during the mid autumn festival celebration and for teachers day, as well as 'thank you for the dream' (which we didnt perform but everyone loved singing that song so much). mr lee was nice but he wasnt our choir conductor for long as he became the vice principal of some school. then SHE came. yes, well, although she led nhps choir to our first ever gold in SYF, i hated her. she was one mean witch. sounds like one, looks like one. during p5 nhps had our nan hua primary school 86th anniversary celebrations. the choir was part of the musical. we had this old woman as our cheographer. choir uniform- red checked vest with blue q-locks -were made, instead of using prefect vests. and the stage had a whole new revamp. banners, a small higher platform on stage where the choir stood at the end of the musical and sway towards the music, stagelights and all those effects like the mist and spotlights. we performed the musical twice- once for mid autumn festival, where LJJ came to perform! AHH! what the freak. i still cant believe i missed that. no fair! we had to hide at the backstage and go back to the music room. couldnt see JJ sing. oh my god. plus we had uber thick make up. and lots of gel on my hair that it becomes so hard. eeks. parents came to help put make up and do our hair. one station of foundation, one station for powder, another for blush, lipstick, drawing of eyebrows, eyeshadow, whatever. i only liked the eyeshadow station. if i was lucky i got purple. the second time we performed the musical again was for the anniversary celebration. that night was great. i love the feeling of being on stage. havent felt that in a very long time. then came p6. we earned a gold award for SYF. FIRST EVER GOLD! then we had to move on to compete among 4 other schools since we were the top 5 for the choir of the year award. this particular choir conductor was also the conductor for rosai primary, which we also had seen them perform at the huge nanyang hall during the SYF competition, and they were very good. rosai eventually went on to win the choir of the year award. that conductor seemed to like rosai better than nan hua since when we left for the choir of the year competition she was with rosai and they performed first. then we were led to this room when it was our turn next to go on stage where we had to do our warm up THEN she appeared. after that she disappeared again. she knew they had a better chance of winning. plus i started out in soprano and she moved me to alto. okay fine, but i couldnt reach some low notes. its veryvery low. and ive been singing the melody the for past few decades. when i was in soprano i also knew the parts for alto since we all practiced together and only have separated training occasionally when really needed. and she also added a soprano 2, which made the nhps have 3 parts. soprano 1 (damned high) soprano 2 and alto. all these are still okay but she scolded me ON MY LAST DAY OF CHOIR PRACTICE. before the choir of the year competition. argh

and you know what. the piano teacher who taught me piano since grade one whom i called eskimo since the yamaha in lot 1 is always so cold and she wears this big sweater, had also been teaching this other girl from nan hua also, same age as me. abigail from 6d? yeah. i think we only exchanged less than 10 sentences. then i forgot why my mother quarreled with eskimo or something, so we changed teacher. to this teacher who was really nice and teached higher grades. sometimes i had lessons in that new grand piano room. but she had to transfer elsewhere so i had another piano teacher. she was kinda fierce my mammo didnt want to change anymore teachers 'cause paisei. then our family had some financial difficulty so mammo had me to quit piano altogether early last year. we even had to sell away the piano. thats so sad. and it used to be my spot. we re-arranged the furniture and now it occupies the two seated sofa. i still treat it like my space though.

so all in all, that ends any path to a music career. ive been put down, discouraged, dont have enough money and wrongly accused. music has been my life. i still wish to continue learning piano. i stopped at grade 5 with just 3 more grades to go. life is so unfair. and even though i still sing its only in front of mammo and jie, or when im home alone, which is quite often now. jie wonders how i memorise the lyrics of songs so quickly when its just because they play it over and over on tv.

im not sick anymore, but im having this toothache. mammo may be bringing me to see her brother's friend, who is a dentist. oh no. i went with my whole family before. the room is quite big and scary with so many equipment and stuff. nooo. i wanna see a dentist who will treat me like a little kid and give me a lollipop after everything. hahaha. vera's getting them and i dont know whether i should get them and maybe i should get them 'cause the mobile dentist that came to bbss last year said i should consider getting them and should discuss with my parents and vera says she's getting purple ones but i dont know because its sooo expensive and its might look weird.

if you have no clue what the previous sentence was about, dont bother asking.

garfield

ahh! garfield is so cute!!!
normally my blog posts doesnt start with 'ahh garfield is so cute' so consider yourself lucky to be reading a post that DOES start with me exclaiming the being of garfield's cuteness.

met shuangyu and nureen at bb mrt outside westmall but was a bit late thanks to maomao. we went to buy the tickets to watch 'garfield 2'. then went to KFC to eat POTATO!! hahas. i had cheese fries, a packet of small fries, mashed potato, and regular 7-up. oh yum-yum, potato is just so delicious.

WO DE ZUI AI!

looked around in precious thots. i love the earrings there. then we bought food and drinks to eat during the movie. i still had the packet of half eaten marshmellows from that day me and jie watched 'cars'. mmm. we were the first to enter the cinema and sat in the back row. garfield and prince are just oh so cute! odie is cute too lah.

after that we went to the same machine i took with vera a week ago- the newest one in lot 1. dont the neoprints look lovely? :D

there was unlimited time to decorate since nobody was taking neos in that machine. we were decorating halfway and maomao had to go. oh, and we chose the blue neoprint (decorated by me!) to be displayed. when we took neos there was a screen showing neoprints of other people. last week when i took with vera we displayed the 'polka' picture.

oh yah. last week after me and vera took neos on that same machine, we sat there decorating when somebody opened the curtain thingy of the machine which is used to cover us while we were decorating. when the person opened that thingy he/she brushed his/her hand past my shoulder in the action of opening up the curtain. EEW! GROSS! then that person ran away. dont know if it was a boy or girl lah. eeks.

plus before we took the neoprints, there were some girls wanting to take neos and hovering around that machine while some guys disturbed them. then the girls walked away and the guys were like walking in and out playing with the machine. how annoying. then i distinctively saw one guy walk in and some other guy outside the machine told me 'you all want to take take lah, nobody inside' as if! then one of his stupid friends looked in and saw the other guy inside and they all laughed. whatever. and when we DID finally get inside some people outside kept opening the curtain like thingy. so me and vera went to comics connection first before going back to take neoprints.

oh. and im not sick anymore i think. yay! i cured myself.

Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties. garfield (left) and prince (right). garfield is fatter. arent they just cute? the cutest CGI cat character. (:

scary dream

i had a dream last night.

it was like some sort of adventure. yet it was so real. and weird.

okay. so there was this king who treated us unfairly. and there was this main guy character. we had to fight among some soldiers but they caught us. and the king was like, "i had a request," he snarled to that guy, "that you jump out of that window, and land on the city square, just like Dr.______ did?" okay. i dont know who the doctor whoever whatever his name is, but obviously that guy died and i gasped in fright. then the dream showed me this circle shape on the floor outside the window stained glass of the palace. there were peasants walking around and also stalls set up along the streets, and they wore clothes of the, what, 1930s? it was also just right before this huge door, probably the door of the palace. next thing i knew, that guy ran, jumped through the window which shattered into pieces and he was falling so fast. i screamed. and the king was cracking up with some evil laughter.

suddenly, i was in some white hospital room. and the nurse didnt really care. me and this other woman told her she had to save that guy but the nurse just said indiffently, "oh look." and she read out some numbers on the machine. then she just switched it off and walked away. what the hell. maybe its because she knew it was a hopeless case since it was the olden times and they had no techonology yet. or maybe it was the king's orders.

the scene changed to my study room. only that suddenly there were two huge, bulky machines on the table. the other woman with me was fussing over the wires, connecting it to the guy. some numbers appeared and we whispered, "please live, please live." the woman stood by the guy meddling with the wires and machines, and seemed to know what she was doing. it was already late at night. and i was on the other side of the room using the computer, communicating to some other guy for advice.

then i woke up on full on rain and had to go around closing all the windows.

oh my god. the dream was so scary. argh. oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh. 1930s. death. forced sucide. unlawful kings. uncaring nurses. where was my mind drifting off to?

secret blog

okay. so this was supposed to be my secret blog where i come up here sometimes to post about things that shouldnt be seen on my private blog. ive kinda stored away all my previous posts from last year till my previous one i posted at the end of may 'cause i couldnt bear to delete them. and i deleted all my secret posts i had in this blog except 4 which i thought were good but i have no intention of publishing them.

so before i officially open up this blog again i should promise:
- to not get addicted to blogging
- devote more time to the things that matter i.e writing in my diary

i hope i can:
- pass my math
- pierce my second earhole

so my blog is here again. i will check in a post once in a while but other than that, i think i'd better stick to writing.

i guess thats just what i do.
