quiz and brief updates

TAGGED BY MICHELLE!

  1. What disappoints you most?

People who fail to keep their promises. When people take others for granted. People who like to interfere with things that they should not bother about as it doesn't concern them, causing a lot more trouble instead.

  2. Which are more important you? Which is more important to you? Friends or boyfriends?

Friends! Duh. And I'm definitely not here to do another error analysis.

  3. Who are the people you trust most?

    My imaginary friend.

  4. Do you think you have enough confidence?

    Obviously not.

  5. What do you hate?

Broken English. I hate people who are fake. And I hate stupid competitions on Channel U like 唯我独尊, where I watched people who have no talent trying to play instruments but kept going off beat. I also hate cockroaches found in places where my things are kept. Recently there was a cockroach crawling all over my crepe bandage which I had only used for Advance NCO Course two years ago. It looked disgustingly comfortable until my Mother killed it for me.

  6. What kind of boys do you like?

Hmm, I'd like a guy who is romantic, but it's sad to have heard that Singaporean men aren't romantic at all! Oh, and he should be able to be my best friend; someone who understands me very well, whom I am able to confide in, and vice versa. And of course, he has to be cute, smart and witty.

  7. What is your goal for this year?

Work hard to achieve good results. Blah blah.

  8. Do you believe in eternity eternal love?

    Definitely!

  9. Have you broken someone's heart till he/she wants wanted to commit suicide?

    Maybe. I'm not sure.

  10. What feeling do you love most?

Feeling hyper and energetic! :) The feeling of being wanted, cherished, appreciated, and loved. Feeling excited or genuinely surprised.

  11. What are the requirements of the other half?

I'm not going to be a housewife in the future, so he'd better have enough money to hire a maid to do housework, or at least cook for me and do the dishes! He should also not be afraid of cockroaches! :D

  12. Do you love to make your friends happy?

Of course! I'm happy when they are happy :)

  13. Do you cherish every single friendship of yours?

Yeap! Even if some of my ex friends didn't.

  14. What are the things you'd do if your days are numbered?

I would eat lots of chocolates and sweets since I won't have to bother about getting a cavity. And I would burn all my diaries before anyone gets a hold of reading them. Maybe have a garage sale or something, get rid of all my stuff and give the money to my family. Swim with dolphins, eat exotic food, drive a car without a license, etc.

  15. What are the most important things in your life?

My family and friends! The ability to talk, listen and feel. And also music.

  16. Do you love anime?

I LOVE OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB! :D
I have only watched that anime. It lasted for only 26 episodes and it's really nice! Unlike those other kinds which have over hundreds of episodes- I wouldn't have the patience watch until the very last one.

  17. Describe the person who tagged you in five words.

LEONG YEW'S FLITHY RICH GIRLFRIEND! :D

  18. If you had one one wish, what would it be?

I would wish for everlasting happiness! Because that is impossible to attain as problems are bound to happen in life. It would be great but unrealistic to feel happy and carefree all the time.

  19. If you could rewind time, when would you go back to?

I can't think of anything right now. Going back to the time during OBBD would be nice! Just the playing in the river after jungle trekking part, or that day after kayaking and hanging out at the island with nice swings. But there isn't a need to rewind time at all because I can just think about it and the vision of these memories would appear in my mind.

  20. Do you love yourself?

    Sometimes.

I'm lazy to do whatever the instructions have stated so I'm not going to list 8 people to do this quiz. Do this if you really have too much time on your hands.

UPDATES:

  1. Chinese 'O' levels (paper one and two) were on the 26th May. I made a lot of careless mistakes according to my Mom, who looked through the paper. I stared at some of the questions for quite some time before changing my answer, and I ended up getting those questions wrong! It's too late to regret anything now, so I'm just glad it's over!

Anyway, I wasn't too stressed about the paper and even watched the movie, 'The Shopaholics" (最爱女人购物狂) on Channel U. It was so funny! I wanna watch it again! :D

  2. Extra lessons had started the very next day. Will have lessons for two weeks, until Atiqah's birthday (6th June, Friday) We had Literature lessons on Wednesday in the 3E2 classroom, which was beautifully decorated with photos for the camp at the beginning of the year. And above the whiteboard there's this class motto thing that reads "Intellectuals at large, that's us!", unlike ours last year which was supposed to be "The peak we are at, the sky we must reach." However, we only decorated the noticeboard with the first three words and just left it as that.

During Literature today, Wy-lin took a video of the guys rehearsing a scene from 'Off Centre', which they will be presenting at the Literature Festival later in June. Irvin kept disturbing her and doing silly things in front of the camera, which was so funny! She uploaded the video on her blog at http://spirallingemotions.blogspot.com/ :)

  3. Debby lost her iPod yesterday! She found out only after school, and there was nothing we could do except to search the detention classroom that 4E2 is currently still occupying. Michelle, Melina and I stayed to help. Debby also searched the 4E2 classroom as we had history there, as well as the 3E2 classroom. Then it was decided to report this to Mr. Cha as it might've been stolen. Also spoke to Mr. Latiff after having lunch.

Debby had to tell them how she lost her iPod twice, and both teachers roughly said the same thing, to think carefully where she had put her iPod, to be more careful next time, that it would be difficult to get it back since everybody had already been dismissed. It was raining very heavily as we walked down to the bus stop. Michelle insisted to get drenched in the rain, so that she'd be sick and not have to go to school, but after that she shared an umbrella with Debby after much persuasion that LY wouldn't be happy about it.

  4. Went to see my juniors (sec ones and twos) after that at the Bukit Batok Fire Station as they were having their civil defence course!

Didn't get why last year when Shiya and I wanted to collect the certificates from those in charge there but they said you needed to be an officer to do so, and if there are no officers present they'd send it to HQ. But after one year the officers and teachers still hadn't receive it. & This time Junyan brought them there in the morning and when an officer came they weren't willing to pass it to her anyway. They had better send it over and let the sec twos get the badge that they've earned. It wasn't nice to let them retake the course this year, but I'm glad that they took it in the right spirit! :)

  5. Collected donations for the St. John walkathon card in school yesterday. Raised $17 just from asking the people in 4E2! (Denise, Nuren, Debby, Pei Jun, Jia Xun, Brenda, Jia Ying, Vanessa, Leong Yew, Jack, Farah, Wenxin, Michelle, Uma, Cassandra) And another $2 today donated by the rich Weijie! I'll probably be able to finish the card by tomorrow, if I remember to ask around.

  6. Mr. Latiff dismissed us 10 minutes earlier today! Went to Westmall after school with Michelle, Debby, Ruo Nan and Melina. We were talking crap and just walking around. Even went to Tom & Stefanie, where there was this nice orange dress which Debby and I thought that Michelle should try on! We started trying on caps and sunglasses there too!

  7. My tuition teacher came to my house just now to look over my A-math SA1 papers, which were horribly done. Had a short conversation with her before she left. She took my papers along with her and said that she'd return them on Saturday.

  8. Speaking of Saturday, I'll be looking forward to attending our school's band concert, 'Moments' after tuition.

  9. It's Chrystabel's birthday tomorrow (30th May!)
    Happy birthday in advance! :)

Happy belated birthday to Xinying, whose birthday was yesterday! :)

  10. Have been asking my friends whether I'm an extrovert, due to Junyan's comment that I am, which was surprising because all my life everyone else has been saying other wise. Junyan says that I'm not the kind who has used to play games like Chrono Cross or Diablo II, because i seem to be an extreme extrovert who goes out everyday.

Which is not true because sometimes I like staying at home, being alone thinking over things, as going out is tiring. Junyan says most people think he's an introvert, but closer friends say that he's an extrovert. Which is also true in my case, I guess.

However, Melina says that being an introvert or extrovert is according to how to behave in the presence of people whom you do not really know. Like, an introvert will be shy while an extrovert will seem friendly and outgoing. In this case, I'd probably be classfied as an introvert.

Can't blog anymore. Mom's back from work and I'm actually not allowed on the computer.

parent teacher meeting 08

the following excerpt is taken from Michelle's blog!

Shi Ting is a bully :( She verbally bullies me! *meows* LYGF, liang you de nu peng you, Leong Yew's girlfriend...
And Debby Van is just as bad with her LYGF dance -.-"
And Melina is just as evil :( with her sly smile.
Not to forget Elliot, Irvin, Vanessa, Chrystabel, Jia Ying, Nuren etc.

In Shi Ting and Nuren's case, it's evilness amidst the surface of innocence.
With the rest of them, it's the similar sinister smile and knowing gleam in the eyes.
Tsk tsk.
For calling out loud, stop looking at me each time his name is mentioned -.-"
hahaha. i don't bully michelle! i just enjoy disturbing her with ly. and seeing the look on her face when i showed the others the piece of paper which i wrote "LYGF ♥ MDBF" on! :D

no, i'm not evil :)

anyway, PTM yesterday wasn't as bad as i expected it to be! we had a faculty meeting in the hall after our last 2 hours of chinese intensive. we were the last class to be seated as mdm shixu was rushing through the meanings of some chinese idioms or whatever it's called. bryant topped the class again (which was expected, he got As for almost every subject!) and mark was second while samuel got third. prakash was fourth- he got into the top ten in the level with the top 3.

sat at the benches at the assembly ground near our classroom during recess. had to give some cpbs stuff to my junior. back in class, we had to do target setting. boring. under the "what enabled me to reach my targets" part, mark wrote "my happiness", while prakash wrote "my love for football".

those who wanted to stay in class to help the guys arrange the tables and chairs for the parent teacher meeting, did so. majority just got out of the way. it's a good thing that we're using the detention room; my mother wouldn't need to climb up all the way to the fourth level and complain after that.

then all of us went back into the classroom and waited for the bell to ring. mdm yeo announced the top 10 in class, and asked us to decorate the whiteboard. (photos below are grabbed from melina's blog!)

cecilia drew this! uma wrote 'welcome parents!' on the board too.

we were finally dismissed! ate lunch with vanessa, jiaying, michelle and melina. went to the st john classroom for a meeting about the walkathon cards. sec fours each had to take one to help too. junyan didn't know how to post letter! then jiazhe and him were comparing their results with one another. like "i finally beat jiazhe in class position!" and "but whose L1R5 score is better huh?" lol!

watch liping write in the walkathon record book and talked to her a little. oh yeah, she failed the same subjects as i did! i wonder if it has something to do with being the secretary. haha. so i told her to so called "break the spell" by passing those subjects at the end of year examinations.

samuel, qian huai and their friends from 1N1 came into the classroom and disturbed us. they took photos of me and one of them even took a video when i didin't notice!

left when liping had completed her work. saw ma'am liping and CL valerie goh talking to miss lim at the benches outside the deans room. saw that the lights were switched on inside the detention room. the front door was now labelled '4E2'. went in and saw melina by herself. turns out that her mother was coming to attend the 'Unleash Your Child's Potential' talk later at 3pm.

then i the black marker which was left lying around, and started drawing on the whiteboard.

melina said that it was cute!
and then i changed my drawing a little:

not nice! it is quite demoralising to draw a face of someone crying after receiving an F9 anyway.
then i was bored so i wrote this:

hahaha. there's nothing wrong with loving yourself :)

went to the 77 bus stop to fetch my mother. but she didnt really need to be fetched, since when i reached there she was already walking up the slope, following other bbss students to our school. and the prefects directed her to AVT1 for the talk. i went to get melina as i heard that students could join the talk too.

there was this cute sec 2 girl who was one of the prefects there, and my mother smiled and pointed to me, saying that im her daughter. like duh, stating the obvious.

the man who gave the talk was this guy called alvin poh. he started talking for the first 5 minutes and i could already tell that he was the mandarin speaking kind, since the way he constructed sentences was how i would if i were to be writing a chinese composition (broken english!).

even though the talk was somehow enriching, it was quite boring at some parts too. and the adults laughed at every joke he said, whether funny or not. kenneth, alan and uma were at the talk as well.

food drinks were provided after the talk. just had a lychee drink. went to the classroom and waited for my turn. my mother said that mr latiff is handsome! haha. then she said that thariq is shuai! O.O

when it was finally our turn, we went to mr latiff as mdm yeo was still busy talking to kenneth and his mother. actually my mum wanted to talk to mdm yeo as she said mr latiff was 'just my literature teacher', but too bad. haha.

mr latiff was so nice! :) he just encouraged me to do better and agreed that i did well for my languages. then he said that most people like me don't really like math and science, but for now i have to do well in everything and learn to love math and science, and later further on in my education, i'd be able to take lesser subjects and specialise in just a certain aspect. he agreed with my mother that i cannot use the computer that much. however, he emphasized that we should limit the usage of the computer, but not totally cut if off.

my mother had some queries so mr latiff told her that the 'O' level results will be out early next year, and there would be no more first three months. as we stood up to leave, he told me that he expects to see me to be there on stage next year. and he made the action of shaking hands with someone.

like, oh my gosh. O.O
he has GOT to be kidding me.

though he told my mother that we could wait for a while and talk to mdm yeo after speaking to him, mum didn't think it was necessary. just collected my school bag from underneath the tables (which was where i left it before the talk) and left the school.

we walked down to the bus stop at the foot of the terrace houses and met 中国美女 pei jun along the way. mum and i went to westmall, where we ate at mayim restaurant. the beef ketchup fried rice was nice and so was the 小笼包, but the tea which mum ordered wasn't. the waitresses were from china and spoke in chinese really quickly, and everytime a customer stepped into the restaurant they would all go "欢迎光临!"

First Semester for Year 2008

Comments: A kind and helpful girl, Shi Ting shows respect towards teachers and peers. She is sensitive to needs of the people in the community and is willing to share positive outcomes with others. With greater effort and commitment, she is capable of producing better results.

my sister reckons that my teachers wrote that i am "sensitive to needs of the people in the community" because i did a lot of CIP. 149.5 hours in fact, according to the LEAPS thingy. oh, and i have the most no. of hours of CIP in class this year! 23.5 hours so far, according to the namelist which mdm rashidah gave to the class chairpersons. another 10 more to add after the self initiated CIP at the childcare centre.

which, i must add, is not self initiated at all, since the teachers initiated us to initiate this so called "self initiated" CIP project thing.

my sister also says that the "willing to share positive outcomes with others" part must mean gossiping. hahaha. whatever.

i so dread the coming 'O' level examination! :( my index number for next monday's exam is 0079 and according to the plan on the noticeboard, i will be sitting next to irvin. with leonard in front, jiaying behind. hope to get at least a B3 for chinese.

chinese intensive lessons

went to vivocity with shiya and amalina on vesak day (monday) and watched "Accuracy of Death" which was really nice! we had to wait in the very long line to buy our tickets and when we reached the counter, there were only three tickets left! we were so lucky, even if they were front row seats! :D

congratulations to all of us for surviving 3 days of mother tongue intensive lessons! but it was shocking to hear that other students have to survive 2 weeks, while ours is only 3 days and 2 hours (for tomrrow).

i'm currently sick. had stomachache in the morning and didn't finish my composition. had a bit of chest pains while exhaling, but it went away with the stomachache. after that i felt very cold. and i still have a blocked and runny nose and a bit of sore throat since last night.

which makes me regret about not skipping school today, because my mother almost allowed it but i would have felt bad to do so as the chinese 'O' level examination is just next monday.

whatever. i really don't see the point in doing so many practice papers when it doesn't really help. mdm shixu did mark the chinese compos i did in school on tuesday but she just marked and returned it without commenting. borderline marks are not good enough and i dont know how to improve.

she also didn't return me the compositions i did at home on tuesday (when i was actually motivated to do chinese homework for the first time and started on it quickly after switching on the air con) and those i did in school on wednesday morning. perhaps she is still busy marking but i still don't see the point of doing so many! its not like my chinese voabulary will suddenly increase after i write a lot of essays.

having an elder sibling means that a standard has been set for you. i just have to beat her score. below 15 points for L1R5. 诗婷,加油!

i don't want to go for the parent teacher meeting tomorrow.
i don't want to go for the parent teacher meeting tomorrow.
i don't want to go for the parent teacher meeting tomorrow.

my mother was scolding me on monday night so this was what i typed but didnt get to post as my internet suddenly got cut off.

"my mother is totally random. and 'encouraging'.

she suddenly woke up and told me to stop chatting on msn and to start mugging and that even my sister is worried because she never sees me studying.

then my mother is still nagging right now and it is so annoying and she said that from now on she should no longer see me on the computer, as i should be either doing math or chemistry.

and i was like, what about chinese?
because that should be the priority as of right now.

she keeps oi-ing me because she thinks i'm not listening, which is very hard not to because she has a loud voice and now she's saying that i should plan my own timetable. and she says that i should see a psychiatrist for using the computer at midnight but she is wrong because is is now 11.11pm.

now she's saying that she is going to tell the teachers at the parent teacher meeting this friday that i'm whole life on the computer and whole life blogging, which is not true. it is just that when she's at home she is just too noisy and there's this "great conducive environment" at home to study.

it doesn't really help when your sister is eighteen years old and is acting like a grown up and suddenly is very interested in wanting me to study."

then my dad who had told me to get off the computer (only after my mother started nagging) had came over and unplugged the internet connection. and he was all like, ok. no more internet for you.

i had a good cry afterwards. not because of the internet connection thing. it was because my mother said some hurtful comments which had to do with somebody. who apparently does not bother about the fact that i am still angry with him.

the next day, i came back from school and fixed back the internet connection. my father must have thought it was a joke, to just unplug the internet and think that i don't know how to plug it back in. come on, it is just connecting the loose wire back to the singtel box and to the back of the CPU. not much of a challenge.

when my sister went to use the computer, my father was all surprised, seeing that there was internet connection. *rolls eyes*

michelle has a new nickname! it was created when we were bored during chinese.

leongyew's birthday surprise!

我就在这里祝黄良佑生日快乐!
happy birthday leongyew!
more birthday wishes can be found at: http://www.theworld-isround.blogspot.com/

you can't expect any pictures from me, since my handphone camera is spoilt. which is such a waste, since we surprised leongyew today!

okay, it all started actually with simraan wanting to surprise leongyew, by asking michelle to do it. and jack was in charge of buying the cake. but michelle had no idea how to surprise her own boyfriend, so she asked around and i gave her around like, 10 ideas! BUT SHE REJECTED THEM ALL.

list of ideas which we came up with while talking! (most of the ideas i gave were said to be too OVER DRAMATIC)
  1. michelle pretends to faint and ly will be shocked then she's suddenly okay and we sing him a birthday song! (okay okay, just like during OBBD, not very original)
  2. michelle hides in a huge box which we push in front of leongyew saying that it is his present, and she pops out of it to surprise him!
  3. michelle chokes on something in the canteen and creates a huge commotion so ly would come over and michelle is suddenly ok we sing him a birthday song!
  4. michelle writes a anonymous love letter to ly telling him to meet his secret admirer somewhere after school!
  5. michelle and other people create a banner and hang it at the entrance of our present classroom early in the morning!
  6. michelle wants to tell ly that she has a boyfriend and someone tips ly off that they are at the fitness corner!

etc.

i still like the choking idea.

but of course we didn't go along with all those, since michelle is the chairman of the surprise leongyew committee while simraan is the advisor. so michelle gets the final say. well, it is also partly because she's his girlfriend!

hahaha. i went to the chemistry lab after school yesterday to collect the paper weight thing we did the day before. but the 4e6 people crowded around mrs ooi at the teacher's table as she was telling them what to do, and i just could get to the table to find my paper weight.

which i found was really funny for them to be there listening to her instructions since she didn't talk to us like that at the lab the day before. she just briefed us in the classroom and at the lab, she gave instructions as we went along.

anyway, i saw mrs ooi hold up my paper weight and was telling her students that the end product will look like that. and i was all, hey! that's mine! and she held up my flower shaped metal mold and was like, you can bring your own metal mold. haha. okay, she was showing off my paper weight, so i guess it should be considered nice!

then some dude took my metal mold and melina helped me to get it back. lol. after searching, i took my own product as well as michelle and debby's. then we met and we walked to bryant's house, together with ruo nan.

bryant and jack looked out of the window and saw us. then we looked at his swimming pool while waiting for them to come down. lol. went to westmall and jack led us up to swensen's. like, err, ice cream cakes are too expensive! so i told them that we should go to bengawan solo and we did. looked at the chocolate cakes and chose one which had raisins in it, so michelle and i was like, eww, and we decided to buy another one.

i suggested the black forest cake even though it is actually white, and called dibs on one of the strawberries! michelle wanted the cherry. bryant was commenting on how long we needed to choose the cake we wanted. lol.

so the guys went off with the cake which bryant brought back to his house. and us girls went to kfc to eat and discuss about the plan tomorrow. well, we had actually discussed it on wednesday, but it had to be modified because it would be better to have the surprise after school.

my part was simple, really; just bring paper forks and party poppers!

which was what i brought to school today. debby provided the paper plates. wished ly happy birthday during recess and said that i actually made a paper weight for him, but it ended up looking too nice that i had to keep it for myself, so i'm sorry that i didn't get him anything. hahaha. samuel seemed amused.

after school, debby asked leyu and samuel to keep ly in school by playing chinese chess with him. they agreed straight away, and showed enthusiam in it which was really funny as they seem to delighted to play chess almost everyday.

the plan was put into action! :)

bryant had to walk home and bring the cake over. i ate lunch at the canteen with vanessa, jiaying and melina. then i took the stuff over and met the others at the table near basketball court and the chemistry lab.

debby went to tell ly that michelle was crying (which michelle found it to be exaggerating as she said that she couldn't possibly act like she is really crying, but just emoing) and so she brought him over to the fitness corner, where ruonan and michelle was. then debby and ruonan came to meet us white the two lovebirds are left alone.

i must say that they look really cute sitting there together talking.

and the people who came who the celebration were: debby, michelle, ruonan, khadeza, bryant, leyu, samuel, wenxin, peijun, parveen, madhuri, ruishan, xiaohui, melina, jiaying and myself.

the party poppers were given out and the candles were placed on the cake. bryant carried the cake over and we crept over silently. but it was difficult to be really quiet, since we were in a group and that meant a lot of sounds heard from the shuffling of feet. i saw ly's head turn and was all like, shit he saw us! walked up the slope, hid behind the wall, but the sound of jack flicking the lighter could be heard as he was trying to light the candles.

we kind of surprised him and michelle gave him a present. popped the party poppers at him and sang him a birthday song. he blew out the candles and cut the cake. then they wanted to smash the cake at ly, so ly ran off, with the guys chasing after him. they threw the cake at each other and bryant had a bit of white hair while ly got cake all over his arms and a little on his ear.

we had a slice of the cake. oh, and the strawberry i ate was really sweet. the wind was really strong there, so everything got blown away. cleared up everything after that.

it was uber fun! :)
i want the video which khadeza took! and more pictures!

the only subject which i'm happy with is my chinese. yeah i know, weird hur? but i got a B4, which is quite good for me already. and i think it is considered to be quite good, since 4E2 is an english speaking class.

how ironic to have not studied for lit, yet it turns out to be my only A among all my other subjects. according to SA1 results, i've counted that my L1R5 is 26 points. my mother already knew that i confirm guarantee plus chop need to go for PTM, so she already told me to wait for her at bukit batok mrt to bring her to school, since she's not familiar with going to the holding school.

i don't want to drop additional mathematics anymore! i want to drop physics instead.

oh oh. and melina and i gave yiting her birthday present after her geography lesson yesterday! hope she likes it and HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, YITING! :)

chemistry paper weight making

it was weird on monday, since only the sec fours and fives were in school as it was e-learning day or whatever. the school was empty and only a few stalls at the canteen were opened. elliot's leg is still injured, so our class is currently using the detention room for classes. and it was really dirty so jiaxun and i cleaned our desks with toilet paper.

oh, and mrs kee just had to stress us early in the morning about our mother tongue 'O' level examinations on 26 May. we were further stressed by mdm shi xu due to our sucky SA1 results and there was a talk during assembly about the upcoming exam.

i can now type chinese with the updated version of internet explorer!

从现在开始,我们都要讲华语,听华文歌,看华文的电视节目,连在梦里也要梦到华文!

hahaha. anyway, i went to vivocity after school yesterday! there were many different kinds of beads in the shop which i thought were very pretty and had a hard time choosing. i called michelle since she told me to help her buy some as well, and we agreed to share for the chemistry paper weight thing. then i bought this flower shaped metal mold thing at the next store.

just after i paid for it, vera finally arrived outside the store! :)
had lunch together and there was an endless flow of conversation. then we went SHOPPING! (逛街!) bought friendship necklaces! wanted to buy some stuff but it was all too expensive. besides, the great singapore sale awaits! we can shop again after the chinese 'O' levels!

VERA! 快点把那些照片放在你的博客里!:D
oh, and my handphone camera spoilt again after SA1. so much for rejoicing that it repaired itself the other day! i want a digital camera instead!

received a lot of exam papers today, since the teachers are finally allowed to give them out. argh, it is just depressing. i failed those three subjects yet again! and i was quite disappointed with only 2 marks to an A1 for literature. irvin, michelle, and jiaying are the true lit pros! and i hate my social studies paper. i did worse than my usual.

please don't ask me how much i scored for the subjects which have to do with math and science!

when mrs toh said that only 8 people passed the comprehension, i was hoping that i would be one of them. my paper was passed to me faced down, so i heaved a sigh of relief when i turned it over. the only papers left to collect are our english compositions, geog/history paper, and chinese. mdm shi xu wasn't in school today, but she sure did leave us with a stack of practice papers to do.

oh, and of course, there was the chemistry paper weight making thing today at the chemistry laboratory. the chemicals used were very stinked (like some kind of strong glue), so mrs ooi told us to complete everthing quickly as smelling it is bad for health. haha. the steps we carried out were simple; we put on gloves, brushed our molds, poured the sticky substance, weighed it, stired and of course, decorated it.

mrs ooi said that if we wanted to, we could come back tomorrow or the day after to join her other classes to make another. actually she's not such a bad teacher, to think of letting us try such an experiment after school as an introduction to the last chapter, macromolecules.

went to westmall with debby and michelle after school. we spoke of a whole bunch of crap until my cheeks hurt from laughing :D

no kitchen sink!

went blog hopping just now, and when i went to my own blog to see if anyone tagged, i was shocked to see 5 people viewing my blog at the same time.

i dont like not knowing who reads! maybe i should just delete that counter thing.

anyway, mid year exams are now and officially over!

the thought of getting back our results shudders me. i'm so going to fail chemistry and physics and combined humanities and additional mathematics and elementary mathematics and pure literature because i only have confidence to pass english and chinese since i screwed up everything else :(

but on the bright side, there's no school tomorrow! :)

wheeeeeeeee. oh and that teacher who started off our chinese listening comprehension paper was really nice. and lame too. which reminds me of the week when we will see only our mother tongue teachers. oh my gosh. having to listen to mdm shixu and speak chinese and THINK chinese. that sounds horrifying enough to me.

my mother scolded me for rolling my eyes at her yesterday. couldn't help it, she kept talking! then that gave her more to talk about.

right now there's not sink in my kitchen, which is quite stupid since there is a need of one in order to wash plates and cups and what not. and it is because my mother called in carpenters to change her cupboard sink thingy and also to change the black top of the cardboard to black marble or something. i have no idea how it is supposed to look like because its half done.

so those carpenter people rang and said that the black marble thing will come tomorrow along with the plumber, to fix the sink back or something. or put in a place a new sink. i dont know and i dont care, but after my mother hung she looked so excited/ delighted that it was as if the love of her life had proposed to her, or she had just struck lottery.

the korean drama, "Famous Princesses", is going to end next thursday! yay, finally! accordingly to 8 days (which my mother bought just to read the synopses), the last episode is also the 92nd episode. that's a lot, compared to "My Girl".

freaky! how come now got 8 people viewing my blog?!

my mother's special ability

my mother has a special ability: to talk non stop about the same thing, but in different ways.

it is so annoying.

especially when i have already put on my mp3 and if i increase the volume even more, my ear drums would probably burst. but she talks too loudly that even with loud music, i can still hear her and i can't concentrate on studying. and it isn't just for today, she seems to be unhappy with every single thing when she's at home and has to complain and scold and nag and quarrel and whatever.

and if she starts saying how lousy my results are after SA1, i can start saying how ironic it is to be hearing that from the person who has been talking non stop and not allowing me to concentrate well enough at home. and when i go out to study she has to call and ask me to come home early.

jeez.

SHE IS STILL TALKING RIGHT NOW! AHHHHH.

oh yah and this post answers those people who ask me why i dont want to go home, and i say that it is because it is noisy at home and they ask why it is noisy and i dont really give them an answer because it is not nice to complain about your mother especially since this sunday is mothers' day but i don't really care because this is getting out of hand.

she should hurry up and go back to work, or take an afternoon nap like, right now! is peace and quiet in this house really so hard to ask for?

which is why it is always good to have friends over because it is only then when she SHUTS UP.

she seems to be talking to nobody, you know, just ranting on and on like a crazy person. talking to the wall. or like she's making a speech. but a neverending one.

yay! it's raining! :)

i wanna go to Italy!!!!

Your eyes are the windows to your souls!

i agree with what mrs toh always says:

Your eyes are the windows to your souls.
my mother likes to say that my eyes would lose its spark when i'm tired due to not having enough sleep.

someone else once told me that when i'm excited or talking animatedly about something with great interest, my eyes would light up.

even when someone is smiling, even when he or she says that everything is fine,
look into his or her eyes. you will be able to find out the truth.

if you master this skill, you'd be able to tell whether a person is putting up a false front, or whether someone is lying. unless, of course, he had mastered a different skill; the art of acting.

8 papers down, 7 more to go!

blogger now has this scheduled post publishing thing, which has gotten on my nerves because i didn't know that my blog was following (GMT-8:00) Pacific Time.

okay, so maybe i did, but i didn't want to change it as it will affect all my other posts. and not changing it also meant that i would manually adjust the time of my posts to the exact one which i have on the clock on my handphone.

but now with this new system, it means that my entries will be posted like, 16 hours later? well, i could just post it twice, pushing the date forward and then publishing it. then editing the post and republish it with the correct date and time which i want it to show.

so troublesome! :(

but whatever. if i'm feeling lazy, you might see my posts appear 16 hours later then. hahaha. now it's my turn to be outdated! hahaha.

the schedule publishing is actually a great and useful idea. can prevent my blog from rotting by preparing entries in advance. lol!

my mother repeated keeps telling me to study, but obviously, i'm not listening to her. hahaha.

yeah, i know i was kinda glad that her patient went overseas and she didn't have to work during my exam peroid, so that she'd have time to stay at home, nag me to death and tell me to study. but it's getting a little annoying. hello? it's a friday for goodness sake.

i screwed up my history paper today! i was so irritated by the constant wind from the fans. why did we have to sit according to history elective students first, then geography?

my seat had very bad feng shui lor.

for the first half an hour i could not concentrate due to my hair all flying around even though i have enough clips on my head. and i regretted only taking out my pens, pencil, correction tape and eraser for the exam. i had needed some kind of paperweight to stop the exam scripts from flying away!

wah lau. i would probably fail my combined humanities. i didn't have time to complete social studies, and i was hoping history would pull my marks up. but the SBQ was so hard and i had no time to write a conclusion for my SEQ.

ahhh there goes my only chance of getting an A1. (how pathetic, i know)

elementary math paper two. i was seated back in front. for the first time this year, i feel thankful that my index number is THIRTY-NINE! if it was still twenty-seven i would have to sit way at the back, with fans blowing behind and i would be so pissed.

even though my seat at 39 is not so great either, especially when it gets warm outside, and when bus 173 can be heard driving past. but it still doesn't affect me as much as the bloody fans :)

but then, i have already lost 10 marks for not completing questions 6 and 7. damn those vectors and sectors. i think i'm seriously dead. i haven't done reasonably well for ANY paper.

8 papers down, 7 more to go!

i think i'm going to fail my 'O' levels and repeat sec four. but that would really suck, since that could mean being in the same class as my juniors. so i think i would prefer to drop out and be home schooled.

i can't believe that i miss talking to him! :(
