congratulations to all of us for surviving 3 days of mother tongue intensive lessons! but it was shocking to hear that other students have to survive 2 weeks, while ours is only 3 days and 2 hours (for tomrrow).
i'm currently sick. had stomachache in the morning and didn't finish my composition. had a bit of chest pains while exhaling, but it went away with the stomachache. after that i felt very cold. and i still have a blocked and runny nose and a bit of sore throat since last night.
which makes me regret about not skipping school today, because my mother almost allowed it but i would have felt bad to do so as the chinese 'O' level examination is just next monday.
whatever. i really don't see the point in doing so many practice papers when it doesn't really help. mdm shixu did mark the chinese compos i did in school on tuesday but she just marked and returned it without commenting. borderline marks are not good enough and i dont know how to improve.
she also didn't return me the compositions i did at home on tuesday (when i was actually motivated to do chinese homework for the first time and started on it quickly after switching on the air con) and those i did in school on wednesday morning. perhaps she is still busy marking but i still don't see the point of doing so many! its not like my chinese voabulary will suddenly increase after i write a lot of essays.
having an elder sibling means that a standard has been set for you. i just have to beat her score. below 15 points for L1R5. 诗婷,加油!
i don't want to go for the parent teacher meeting tomorrow.

my mother was scolding me on monday night so this was what i typed but didnt get to post as my internet suddenly got cut off.
"my mother is totally random. and 'encouraging'.
she suddenly woke up and told me to stop chatting on msn and to start mugging and that even my sister is worried because she never sees me studying.
then my mother is still nagging right now and it is so annoying and she said that from now on she should no longer see me on the computer, as i should be either doing math or chemistry.
and i was like, what about chinese?
because that should be the priority as of right now.
she keeps oi-ing me because she thinks i'm not listening, which is very hard not to because she has a loud voice and now she's saying that i should plan my own timetable. and she says that i should see a psychiatrist for using the computer at midnight but she is wrong because is is now 11.11pm.
now she's saying that she is going to tell the teachers at the parent teacher meeting this friday that i'm whole life on the computer and whole life blogging, which is not true. it is just that when she's at home she is just too noisy and there's this "great conducive environment" at home to study.
it doesn't really help when your sister is eighteen years old and is acting like a grown up and suddenly is very interested in wanting me to study."
then my dad who had told me to get off the computer (only after my mother started nagging) had came over and unplugged the internet connection. and he was all like, ok. no more internet for you.
i had a good cry afterwards. not because of the internet connection thing. it was because my mother said some hurtful comments which had to do with somebody. who apparently does not bother about the fact that i am still angry with him.
the next day, i came back from school and fixed back the internet connection. my father must have thought it was a joke, to just unplug the internet and think that i don't know how to plug it back in. come on, it is just connecting the loose wire back to the singtel box and to the back of the CPU. not much of a challenge.
when my sister went to use the computer, my father was all surprised, seeing that there was internet connection. *rolls eyes*
