Okay, other than hanging out with Shiya, Chrystabel, Amalina, Atiqah, Brenda, Nureen, Debby, Vanessa, Pei Jun and whoever else from BBSS, I made new friends too. This is partly because I'm in the arts stream and most of those from BBSS are in science, so I can't really stick with anyone in particular. Sometimes, I have to find my way around the school and rush to different lectures.
Oh yeah, last week Joan recognised me and Zheng Hua did the weird look then wave thingy again. And it was funny standing outside, waiting for people taking H2 math to stream out of the LT, waving to my friends as they walk past. I take H1 math and I seriously hope I didn't make the wrong decision. Called out to Sie Min (4D, NHPS choir) and was surprised that she smiled at me.
My neighbour, Esther, also goes to PJC and when she said hi to me on the second day, I was blur and gave her a blank look. Later, Esther Lee got to know Esther Loh from art class. And by being late for literature, I found a girl named Beatrice with the same subject combination as me. And by loitering around the cafe during break, Vada joined me and we started chatting. There was also Charlene, from my OG.
But sometimes I'm all on my own too, because everyone disappears with their friends. However, I feel like I am adapting to life at PJC quite well. I don't know about my class yet, and I'll need to get into the mood of studying next week, after orientation. We're buying our uniforms tomorrow, and there will be some workshop. No more mass lectures!
I had 10 subject combinations to choose from. The subject combination allocated to me was what I placed as my first choice. EHL; Economics, History, Literature. With H1 Math, of course. For some reason, mum thinks that I will do well in econs. However, after the lectures on econs from that woman with a monotonous voice, I'm wondering if I should've taken H2 math and H1 econs instead. She is reaaaaally boring.
At times, I don't know what the history teacher is saying because she likes to explain too much or something. Like, we already get it but due to the lack of response in class, she illustrates another example which complicates things. This makes me miss Mrs. Toh, who was so clear and dramatic in class.
My lit teacher is okay but I still miss Mr. Lattif. We've had two different teachers for math and they are both okay, but for the previous lesson I was stoning because I had already done the work given. Indices and logarithms. Thank goodness I kept my A-Math stuff.
Apart from those mentioned, I met other people too, like when I happen to sit next to them and we start talking. But I forgot their names already. Haha. Okay, so I didn't make a lot of new friends, but a few acquaintances. Oh, and there was this girl who went with Chrystabel, Amalina, Shiya and I for archery try outs. In the end Amalina got in! Hahah. Like, whoa. Got potential leh. Only about twenty people were chosen out of so many who were present that day.
I went with them because I just wanted to try using the bow and arrow, regardless of whether or not I would be selected join their CCA. Then I realised that I suck at archery! Haha. But never mind, it's a learning experience. Later, I went for the Ambassador Club interview which was so scary! Chrystabel and that girl went, too. (The name is coming back to me now. Soleha or something)
I guess I was being kiasu, because that happened last Friday, and I had already gone for the choir auditions on Wednesday. But I thought I screwed it up because I was nervous and my voice was shaky. Plus, it was weird that I couldn't hit the low notes.
I think I'm assured of a CCA now as the choir president called just now to say that I passed the auditions. She also told me about choir practices. So now, I hope that I don't hear from the Ambassador Club because what the heck am I supposed to do if both CCAs accept me? I'd feel guilty if I have to reject one. Not that I think they'll accept me in the first place, but there's always a possibility.
I hope that Mr. Ivan dude who gave us mass lectures on GP in the hall teaches me GP because he is funny and he seriously sounds like Jiazhe. We should all speak like that, too. PW made some people sleep in the afternoon today, but you have got to give that teacher some credit for injecting funny videos in between the lesson.
For lit, we went to the canal to write a poem but all I got were mosquito bites on my thighs. Chinese was actually interesting today because this woman told us some stories about her overseas trips and things she learnt from it.
I'M STARTING TO LOVE THIS KOREAN DRAMA!

They're airing it on Channel U! And I can't believe I cried so much already when I've just finished watching episode 6.
