computer

yesterday there was footdrill and after that shuangyu, jingyi, shiya, atiqah and amalina came over to my house after eating lunch at macdonalds to do the librarian project. shiya came too although she's not in our group. yesterday they couldn't get into flamingtext and friendster was damn lag. at first we couldn't find flamingtext.com so i went to google search and found that its changed to flamingtext.co.uk. they kept saying my computer is v.slow.

but i don't find that so. usually it isn't like that lor. just now i went into flamingtext and made this in less than half a minute.
and i also got into friendster and approved two testimonials. done in less than 10 secs. oh, and remember that day yunqian came to my house to change clothes to go to the arcade? msn messenger closed by itself when she was using it.

they so don't know how to use my computer. or either that my computer doesn't like them =X. haha. but its not just this computer in the living room. they also didn't know how to use that computer in the study room. and they just blame the computer for being slow. they should just let me use it! damn. i'm having 7 browsers opened now and i don't have a friggin' problem. 5 of them is internet explorer. (hotmail, friendster, blogger, flamingtext and neopets) the other 1 is msn messenger (at which i'm appearing offline) and the other 1 is spider solitare. and its fast. much faster than yesterday

okay so maybe when im typing this and you're reading this nobody will believe me 'cause everytime other people come the computer's performance is very lag. i don't get it. sometimes the computer doesn't listen to dad. even though it was dad who wired the com in. haha =P.

anyway, in the end we chose to split up the project. then they will have to send it to me and i will do the summary and print it out.
this didn't need to happen if they didn't rush like crazy people (no offense) just to use the computer and let me use it.

conclusion
only i understand the computer
and thus, the computer understands me

no wonder its worthy to be my husband.

or either that the computer is just siao.
in case anyone gets the wrong idea, im not angry. im just a bit pissed that my com always doesn't function well when it has to.


oh yes, another thing i don't get: why does my sis have discmans and an mp3 player when i don't have any? even sy and jy noticed that.

footdrill + haircut

we had footdrill training this morning.

i went to school with shiya as usual but there was not much time left to bun my hair properly so i just did it anyhow and so it was very loose. then when we did footdrill liping kept saying that i was pale so in the middle of marching i was pulled out and told to sit in the sick bay. she gave me chocolate and also before that faridah gave me a sweet. but actually i was feeling just fine. then naiimah and wanyee came in and we talked for a while. after that we sat on the steps of the concourse and watched the others train. later i got to join back the others in footdrill. vanessa had band and i saw her watching us do footdrill after she was dismissed. at the end of training we were told to do the librarian project thingy in a more detailed way and got the total defence bronze badge.

after footdrill we all took 941 to westmall to have lunch but i went home 'cause there was curry chicken and potato. haha. then i got my haircut. its like 3 inches shorter or something. mum says i look more like emily the strange 'cause of the straight fringe. haha. i tried bunning my hair. its kinda difficult. i think tomorrow i will take my time bunning at home before going out.

there's a bravo platoon gathering on 2nd january to go watch wallace and gromit, as i predicted. 3 people told me about it. haha. i thought i could go but i have to go out with my family or something. during the holidays i keep feeling like cloning myself. hahs.

it was very hard to type this post when people are arguing in the background making you unable to think and phrase sentences.
im damn tired. going to bed.

anyway, i never knew what to bring on first day.
and why would i be thinking about packing my bag when i haven't even finished my cricket w/s (1 page left) and reading the chinese book? (72 pages left, not including the 4 pages ive read, the ones behind and those in front)

i want to barf at the thought of reading 72 pages of chinese words.

wait, i think its 51, minusing the pictures.
its kinda weird when one can read thick english books probably consisting of 700++ pages and wants to faint at the sight of only 51-72 pages of chinese ones.
but there is one major difference: those english books which has about 700++ pages are actually interesting while the chinese book is just plain BORING.
who wants to read about what this teacher did when he was small? who wants to know how things were like in the past? who even cares?
we students will only start to care about things of the past because of our history grade.
there are some chim words in the book i am supposed to know but yet i don't.
i need to brush up on my chinese.

nureen just told me that the timetable for next year is out on the school website. she's so informed. i've just got it printed out. there's not much to say. we're having history for the first half of the year and we got mr samuie for lit :). i don't really know most of the teachers. why do they put science as LS? mrs chiew teaching us HOM and miss lim is gonna teacher us math. =\ mdm haryati for HE again? argh. there's MTRE which is mother tongue reading. X( im so dreading next year.
time really flies huh.

boxing day

yesterday i watched the princess diaries on tv. again. so funny! then my sis reminded me to do the stupid cricket w/s so i did it at 12 midnight on christmas day. wow. what a great christmas i had. ok, so i did it when i was half asleep, so don't expect any good answers. i still have 1 page to go.

i went to watch narnia at lot 1 with vanessa and denise today. we ate long john for lunch before that. anyway we bought medium sized popcorn and denise accidentally dropped a $1 coin inside the tub of popcorn. LOL. while watching the movie we ate the popcorn and i found the coin. the movie was okay lah. if i had to rate it i'd give it 3 stars. (out of 5) then we took neoprints..
..and also bought a birthday present for wendy. its so cute! its now sitting on my sofa waiting to be wrapped.

christmas party

i managed to take a photo of rain. it was kinda hard and it seems that rain is quite invisible to the digital camera.
anyway, it was raining before the christmas party yesterday. luckily it stopped. there were only 4 sec ones. it was at gracia's house, the condo right next to little guilin. we went swimming and played monkey and blind mice in the pool. we barbequed our own food for dinner. then there was a.. what was it called? trasure hunt or amazing race.. i think its amazing hunt. i accidentally overheard them talking. kay whatever lah. we were divided into teams and had to go to 4 stations. i hated the bittergourd part. then the last part was to find a balloon in the playground. somebody said it was red but the other person said it was orange. but i found it under a slide. it was orange. my team was the first! (: we gave a forfeit to the last two groups which was to walk 5 rounds on the foot reflexology path and to climb the monkey bars to and fro. later there was the gift exchange thing. yunqian got my present and i got huizhen's present.

i just changed the skin and a flying cockroach flew into the room. GROSS! first time i saw a flying cockroach. i never wanna see another one. anyway, this skin is so LOVELY. so sick of the christmas one that i couldn't wait till christmas ended to change the skin. i better go to sleep before another cockroach attacks. today i went for st john footdrill training. i have a blister on my big toe. oww. anyway after that shiya shuangyu yunqian and i went to westmall and ate some tim sum for lunch. AND I SAW IDIOTIC DEVIN IN THE FOOD COURT! my immediate reaction was to give him a digusted look. wah lao SO SUAY! then we wanted to play acarde but the person there used a finger gesture telling us to get out since we were in our st john uniform. so shuangyu went to shiya's house to change and yunqian came to my house to change. then we met up at lot1's 3rd floor toilet. lol. we also took some neoprints..


then we continued shopping for yanyun's birthday present and the christmas present for the christmas party this friday. there's gonna be a present exchange thing. the present has to be from $4-$10. but alot of items we saw were priced at $3.90. haha.

party

the party was so much fun!
i woke up 1 and a half hours later than i wanted to. but i still got to paint my nails XD. actually we booked the function room time slot was from 10am-4pm but we went to open the room at 11.

i met vera the earliest since she wanted to come and see something on the computer. (shh.. secret!) we exchanged gifts and then went down to the room to make water bombs. mom was out buying and collecting the food she ordered and jie was helping her and getting CDs. guess what was dad doing?? when i was showing vera that something on the computer, he was inserting a disc into the DVD player! grr.. that's why the drinks came late. i went to meet shuangyu, yunqian, shiya, vanessa, chrystabel, debby and wendy at the cck mrt macdonalds and brought them all to the function room. after a short while beatrice and jingyi came. i told them to eat but they just sat there. somebody even said i should give out the packets to everyone! weird! i mean, usually you just go to the table and choose the food, right? the host doesn't serve each and every one of you like a princess for heaven's sake! finally debby made the first move. okay, was lunch was damn weird. i thought they would polish off the nuggets from macdonalds but there was still remainders and i guess not a lot of people like old chang kee's currypuffs as much as i do.

after that nureen came. shiya, yunqian, jingyi, shuangyu, beatrice were sitting on the green chairs outside the function room. we played a name game where you had to put an adjective beginning with the same letter of your name. and you also had to repeat what the person said before you. they purposely put me last.. so it went, (i kinda forgot the order) smart shiya, joyful jingyi, bad beatrice, nice nureen, siao-siao shuangyu and yummy yunqian. they wanted to carry me and throw me into the pool but i ran away. into the room. phew.

my sister (the games co-ordinator) got the ball rolling. we played games like called caterpillar, guess the cartoon character game and what's the time now mr wolf? then..

WATER BOMB!!


YAY! this is always my favourite. i was the wettest! heehee.. we sat inside the function room to rest and my sis took out her query cards and asked everyone (not including me) a question from it.

after that we had a treasure hunt. the first clue was "play with me- if your childish enough". we all made a mad rush to the playground and i found the clue under a stone in the bushes. it says "bounce bounce bounce!" oh the basketball court, duh! again everyone just rushed over there where some guys were playing basketball. the piece of paper was found in the plants near the court. the next clue was.. "big splash.. or not" everybody just went to the swimming pool and started looking in the nearby plants around the swimming pool. then it rained. we ran for shelter but the rained stopped in a while. my sis suddenly disappeared. turns out that she went back up to the house to get some stuff; including an umbrella. then she told us that the next clue was at place that could provide water, so i found it in the bushes near the bbq pit (that has taps). the clue said something abt christmas, so we all went to the christmas tree outside the function room and searched all over. but of course it wasn't there, that will be too obvious. anyway i didn't know where it was found or whatever since i went to clear out the fuction room as it was already 4 o'clock. then the next clue said 'its good for your eyes' or something. does that mean we have to search EVERYWHERE? greenery is the only thing good for your eyes. but eventually vera spotted the piece of paper in some plants near the slope close to the vending machines of blk 71. it said,"what goes up, must come down." the lifts! which means we practically had to search ALL the lift lobbies?? but vanessa, chrystabel, vera and i were the first ones to find it and we pretended we were still searching for the previous clue (teehee). anyway this was already 7th clue which went,"the brightest thing you'll ever see" immediately we thought of lights. but jie gave us a clue. she looked across the swimming pool and told us to look in her direction. then we went over there and searched. i found the clue with vera's help- she gave me the idea that those orange flowers and red plants could be considered bright. i looked at those red plants with bright green and yellow long grass surrounding it and put one of my leg in to pick up the clue. it was the 8th and final clue which had to be decoded. it goes, "_ o _ _ / _ _ / _ _ _ _ e / _ h _ /(heart shape)/ _ _" the '/' are spaces. there was an arrow to show that the 2nd word and the last word was the same. so we just sat on the steps thinking while my sis got the rest to go over to the place she was looking at, look around, and report back to her what was the brightest thing they saw. they got the answer right on the 2nd try, which was the red plant, then everyone crowded around trying to solve the clue. then when my sis finally told us that the heart shape was part of it and that it was a saying, i got it! the answer is,"home is where the heart is" yay! too bad i didn't get any prize.. haha.

later, we went back to my house and had the blackforest cake from four leaf bakery. i told them to do away with the song 'cause its so corny and my goosepimples will pop out. the cake was delicious. we watched a bit of tv before going to my room to play 'mummy' invented by vera. after that i opened my presents!

this must be my longest post ever. overall it was pretty fun and i hope everyone had fun too. i enjoyed it. in a weird way. i still don't get it about lunch. =/

ugh

im so irritated.
i spent last night doing exactly 12 goodie bags. i like staying up late. i could've been born on 12 december since i was born at midnight. anyway early this morning my mom woke me up at 8 today to go buy party stuff again. before she goes to work for her afternoon shift. i didn't want to get up at first but then this fly kept flying towards me. ugh. at 11 i went to lot 1's stupid NTUC. we passed the security guard sitting there under the umbrella with the stupid book on the table and oddly, the path i always walk in and out of the condo is blocked with two pots of plants. what the hell?? then the guard told us to use the gate where you have to press a button to go out and tap the card when you go in. that is so TROUBLESOME. i wish they never changed the management. then we went to the 'used to be convienient supermarket'. i don't really go there so i don't know where to find my stuff in this newly renovated (ok, maybe not so new.. it was renovated a few months ago already) supermarket with really bright lights and although its only 11 in the morning, there were so many people. there were no party poppers, and they were only barney branded balloons. and those small kind i wanted only had a few in each packet so if i wanted to buy i'll have to buy like, more than 10 packets?? wtf. last time i bought the whole packet was filled up. i could just buy 3-4. ridiculous. then in the afternoon i was lying on my bed writing in my diary when the same fly in my bedroom buzzed in my ear! ugh! plus my sister kept popping in and out of the room annoying me. then denise tells me that she's going to batam on my birthday party. and now somebody on msn is ignoring me.. CAN SOMEBODY GET RID OF THAT STUPID FLY IN MY ROOM??

cant wait

i was out shopping at lot 1 buying party stuff with my sis just now. for the paper plates/cups and goodie bag things. i got the things to be in the goodie bag but not the bag. so tell me if you see anywhere selling these sort of plastic bags that are to be used as goodie bags (most likely with pictures of balloons and stuff like that), kay? if not i'll just use normal plastic bags.

last night i talked to vera over the phone for more than 1 hour. haha. i think i told her almost everything. and she's coming early. yay! we planned the some parts of party together. i can't wait! (; hee.. 12 people are coming to the party. its not a lot but hey, at least they are 12. it fits my minimum requirements of 10. my next party will most probably have to wait till sec 4.

i just finished scanning the neoprints taken yesterday.


and i also just read my new testimonials. upon reading one of them, half of me was all surprised and went, "oh so he was the mystery person wx was talking about! i cant believe he got me a present" and the other half of me goes disappointedly, "oh chey so its him. i thought what mystery person was wx talking about."
its only 2 hours to my birthday..

im going to lie on my bed and pretend im asleep so my dad will stop bugging me.

when they gave out the home nursing theory exam paper my handphone sms tone rang out. luckily they didn't do anything about it. i think i flunked home nursing practical. my group said i didn't do anything. what kind of effing statement is that?!? how the fuck could i do anything when they just went ahead and did everything? i should've done the wound dressing thing alone. its so much easier lor. somemore i kept studying for that. then when they were taking the informal shot this girl i don't like came to me and put her friggin' arm around my shoulder! what the.. and there was no time for me to go somewhere else or switch places so i pasted a fake smile on my ugly face. that girl sucks lah she's such a loner with no real friends in the platoon although she spoke to almost everyone and she's so damn irritating! wah lao. what a nice way to end the course. what a nice way to spend my mom's birthday.

i guess this is why i was kinda grouchy yesterday.
after the course the 7 of us were supposed to go celebrate end of course but amalina didn't join us 'cause her parents came and brought her home. anyway we went to lot 1 and ate at pizzahut. then we took 2 sets of neoprints. im supposed to scan them but my scanner sot diao so must wait for my dad to fix. he will get it done somehow.

electrical appliances

i don't know what's wrong with my family this week.
apparently, they suddenly don't know how to use the electrical appliances at home.

first, my sister used the spoilt CD player to play songs when i already told her before that she was supposed to use the old yet working LD player.
then, my mother thought something was disconnected because the radio wasn't working when it was just the radio plug coming loose and so i pushed back in.
and then, my sister told me she couldn't switch channels on the tv, and all i had to do was press the 'on' button on the cable tv remote.
and just now, my mother called me to a blue tv screen when you just had to press '1' on the normal remote and change the channel using the cable tv remote.
and she even asked dad.

these are all so simple. i can't believe they had to ask me.

im now currently at page 8. this is probably because the 1st page is the title, the 2nd page is the publisher thingy, the 3rd and 4th page is the author's note, the 5th page is the content page, the 6th page is nothing and the 7th page is the title of the chapter.
im forcing myself to read. which is very hard, im finding out.

CCK is the 3rd station from jurong east on the north south line.)

i invited 15 people this year.
at first 11 were gonna come.
now there are only 7.
if there arent at least 10 i'll have to cancel the party.
