yesterday we learnt how to dance the cha cha! jingyi's idea. at first she keep saying that she know that i know how to dance cha cha lor. but i really forgot. after a while i kinda remembered but i think it was wrong. then gracia and naiimah came in and taught us. then later ma'am liping and kwan ying also. quite fun i guess (:

a few days ago i went to lot 1's popular with my mum to buy the books they didnt have last month and when i went home, i realised they gave me a secondary 2 reading rites, so i went back with my sister to change it.

i got them to give me the right book and my sis asked if it was the same price and the woman said should be, so i lined up at the cashier while my sister went to buy some drink for my mother.

then i told the cashiers (one gay one old lady) to change the books, blahblah, give receipt and they ask me write down my name and contact number and I/C number and signature. then they say its 65 cents more but i no money so they keep the book first and i waited outside.

they was a line of people waiting for taufik that day. because he was coming to popular at 2.30pm for an autograph session. and there was a security guard person standing beside the table which was set up for him.

if it was jonathan leong instead, i would definitely go. =D

then my sister came back and i had to go line up again. then i gave the gay served the people behind me first, like i was invisible. wth! then when he REALISED that i was there because the woman told him, they were all like, 'sorry sorry' -.-

after that i gave them my sister's popular card and they owed me 25 cents instead. so they want to give me A LOLIPOP. im not a small kid can! but me and my sister keep saying no need and they ask if want pen refill instead but we dont want.

then we left the stupid popular with gay cashiers.

hmm. i had some wacky dreams.

the first night, i dreamt that somehow, i lost my tooth. then i tried to put it back and went to see a dentist. the dentist didnt know if it was an adult tooth or a baby tooth, so dentists kept arguing and debating about it and in the dream i was very scared because i didnt know if it was an adult or baby tooth.

i woke up and checked with my tongue to see if all my teeth were there. scary leh. but the deram is stupid because by now i should have all my adult teeth.

the second night, i dreamt that it was the first day of school. i went to school with my mother and we entered the school building which didnt look like bbss at all, as it was all greyish. then she joined some other parents for some parent talk and i went to the grey canteen. the canteen looked like a hawker centre. but it was floded with students.

then i also dreamt that the other side of the school had a garden, where it was colourful and not grey. and i was with nureen. and i dont know why after that my friends came over i saw my ex classmates outside my house. like grace see and joey and simin and carolyn.

so it resulted in a nightmare! (grace and simin are okay i guess. but the other two..) but in the dream i was so friendly to them. ewww.

third night. i dreamt that i failed A Maths and i needed peer tutoring. from somebody i dont want to say here. i think i will fail A Maths next year, but must i really need peer tutoring from that person? so funny lah.

fourth night. i dreamt that i was in a car chase. i went to my dad's car to take something but i dont know why i went to drive it and it was so cool! then i saw my father in another car driving behind me. then behind my father was a car full of clowns. ahahah.

so i drove at top speed and i wanted to U-turn but i kinda lost control because i still dont know how to drive but in the end i got back to some condo (not my condo) and went to the poolside and then i woke up. weird leh. but exciting during the car chase part.

i wonder if i will dream again tonight.

day at tiong

had st john meeting today at jurong sub center. only the sec twos in sleepy platoon were present. (shuangyu, amalina, yunqian, me)

it lasted for one hour then we went to jurong entertainment to sit down at mac and chat.

reached my house gates at 4.55PM, just in time to watch 'hannah montana' at five.

but i forgot to bring my keys!!

gaaaaah. chatted with matthew for a while to pass the time. then he had to attend church. so i called my father who was with mother and they said they will be back soon.

so i waited in boredom for ONE HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES. boohoos.

during that time, i tried to open the gate using 4 hair pins, which didnt work even though it looks so easy in the movies.

oh, and i so exceeded my free 600 free smses again. the bill came yesterday and its recorded that i sent 1558 smses. and there were also overseas smses because there was a peroid of time when matthew and jonathan smsed me when they were in malaysia.

luckily my mother doesnt ban me straight away and give me a prepaid card and confiscate my phone, but now my handphone is in her drawer and i have to use the house phone.

but it was a good thing that i talked to matthew on the house phone for a bit after dinner, because i found my house and locker keys beside the phone.

yesterday, me and nureen went to tiong bahru plaza.

actually we wanted to go to vivo because of the nice seats in the cinema but tiong had the neoprint machines so it was troublesome to go to both places.

while waiting for nureen at bukit batok mrt, i saw a familiar face. she smiled and came to talk to me and i realised that she was my friend from basic. and i forgot who she was so i asked her for her name.

OMG lah. how embarrasing.

anyway i remember her name now. doreen. but i still find it so paiseh. but you cant blame me, i havent seen her for one year. she was with her friend and we talked for a while. saw this guy wearing half u with the advance tee as he was going for retest. i dont need. wahaha. so heng. cause i didnt study lah.

when nureen came and we reached tbp, they were having this dumb baby looney tunes show which was just ending.

we shopped for a while then we went to watch charlotte's web! the book is much nicer than the movie. but wilbur the pig is cute (:

oh. and we saw the harry potter order of the phoenix trailer. you can watch the full movie trailer by clicking here.

hopefully the movie is okay. like the first two movies, (harry potter and the philosopher's stone, harry potter and the chamber of secrets) and not as sucky as harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban, or harry potter and the goblet of fire (my favourite book in the series which they had to ruin)

after that, we went to burger king to cut and divide the neos. inclusive of the neos we took last time. so i had to cut like, 3 sets. (and nureen sat there not wanting to buy onion rings)

she also tried to take photos of me. only this one was successful.

i was wearing the cat earrings pj gave for my birthday! at first i wore this on my first earhole and another pair of cat earrings that i bought myself on the second earhole of each ear, but i felt too catty.

nureen was shopping for footwear. aint these heels nice?

(i was wearing the pumps my sister's friend bought then didnt like it so she gave it to my sister who gave it to me but she also wore it the day before yesterday anyway as her feet and my feet and mother's feet are about the same size and the right heel broke and she didnt realise so she didnt tell me and the only thing she told me was to bring plasters, but i didnt develop any blisters, ony felt weird while walking as the left side was higher and the right lower, but luckily the heel was those short kind which isnt obvious.)

me and nureen were going up the by the escalator and my mother and sister were going down and nureen saw them and told me, if not i wouldnt have realised.

after a bit more window shopping and looking around, i sent nureen to the mrt station and went to the food court to have dinner with mum and sis.

then jie said that she felt like taking neos so..

one final note:

clear table, clear mind?

hmm. i came back from ANCO camp on sunday, i rested from monday to wednesday waking up in the afternoon, and i had nothing to blog about (except if you want me to blog about camp, which will take forever because there are a lot of things to blog about which i dont have the mood to blog about because it will make me feel tired to blog a very tiring post about tiring things)

but today there's something to blog about. because today, being a guai kia, i swept the floor and yesterday too, so that mother will give me money for sweeping the floor in a form of an allowance. then while i was sweeping, jie was watching tv and she was like, 'you know, you are like cinderella and maomao will come take you to the ball and..'

tsk! just because i sweep the floor doesnt mean im like cinderella. (but maybe she feels like an evil step sister for just sitting there watching tv. lol) and i wanted to puke when she said the mm part, but if i puked right then on the floor it will ruin the beautiful floor (i sweep until very clean okay) that i had just swept and i would have to clear up the puke.

then i went to the bedroom and me and jie was talking about something when suddenly she said that it was very quiet. then she went out and found that the tv suddenly switched off and yelled to me that there was something wrong with the tv.

after that she called out that the computers switched off too and lucky she had saved her data already.

then i was like, maybe there is a circular downstairs that says northvale is doing some electrical check or maintanence thingy because last time i was home alone and suddenly there was no electricity so i called dad and he told me there was this maintanence thing and after a while the electricity came back.

then i remembered last time when i found out there was no electricity it was because i wanted to get something from the fridge. so i went to the fridge this time and it had no power as well. the lights werent working and so was the water heater. the only thing that could work was the house phone.

so jie said that she would go down and check the noticeboard or ask the security guard. after a while she came up and said there was only one lift working and the security guard was like, 'the electricity is cut off. we are calling PUB'

and after a while more mother came back and we told her there was no electricity so she told us she went to lot 1 after work and when she was buying something at the cashier suddenly there was no electricity as well. then she went to worry about her food because if they didnt fix it quickly the food in the no power refrigerator will spoil.

and my reaction was like, there was no power in lot 1 too? cool!

and the adult like people (my sister and my mother) was like, not cool. there is no electricity in the whole of choa chu kang.

which was even cooler.

and i was polishing my boots because i couldnt find anything else to do, as i couldnt use the computer or go and bathe as i dont want to bathe in cold water.

jie went out and mother said that she was going to bathe even with cold water because she wont want to bathe in the dark. then she sat on the sofa and told me about this newspaper article she read and she was all, "..a clear desk means a clear mind. i told him, 'you should clear your working table-'"

the 'him' was father. but i butt in and was like, 'i dont have a working table'

and then she laughed and continued talking about tables, saying that in the article she read that if a person has a clear table, he has a clear mind. but if the person has a messy table, he has a disorganised mind. (obviously talking about father)

so i was like, if the person has a dirty table, he has a dirty mind. but she was like, no, if the person has a dirty table, it means the person is lazy because he never wipe the table.

and i went, whatever. you want to bathe or not? i also want to bathe leh. so she finally stopped talking about tables. the lights were suddenly switched on again and i was like, aww man, we couldnt experience the darkness.

hmm. i do not have a desk, means i do not have mind? what nonsense.



just now i talked to mother again, and i said "last time have christmas spirit at home now dont have. you know why? because last time i could play christmas songs on the piano."

it was obviously a HUGE HINT to want to have a piano again and have piano lessons which i had since i dont know when but my mother made me quit in march 2005 when i was approaching grade 6.

then she went to rattle on saying that there is no money blahblah and i can play on my sister's guitar instead.

but i dont know how to play the guitar and the guitar is different because you ahve to use one hand to strum and the other to press on the strings whereas the piano, you just use your fingers to press the keys. which is a bit like typing.

so after that, i have decided what my christmas wish should be.

it should be for my father to get a proper job with a reasonably well income so that i can have back my piano lessons.



oh yah. last night, i finished the book, 'the curious incident of the dog in the night-time' because mother said that my sister has even finished reading my lit book so i should too. so i read it slowly (i couldnt do speed reading because it was very noisy and jie was disturbing me) for 3 hours and finished the whole thing.

the book is really nice and i almost cried at one part where christopher found out the truth about his father lying that his mother died of a heart attack when actually she was still alive and living in london, writing him letters every week. and the part where his father confessed that he killed wellington.

but i only almost cried since the book is written in a robotic way. if it wasnt i would've cried.

i love the book! you should read it even if you're not taking lit.

MY 14TH BIRTHDAY

on tuesday, the day before my birthday, i went out with nureen to lot one and took neos. couldnt really decorate well. here are some pictures taken while decorating..

hahas. i was busy preparing stuff for yesterday and calling up people, confirming who was coming and deciding whether there was enough food. then suddenly, i received an sms.

it was from nureen. at first i thought it was about the table tennis table, but it said:
thia shi ting! happy birthday! :D it's 12 alr right?! hahah.

wow. i didnt realise it was midnight already. was sent at 12am. so i texted her back and we discussed about the booking of the table tennis table.

three minutes later, i got an sms from matthew which was:
happy birthday! haha. just realised the time. am i late?

so i texted matthew back while texting nureen about the table tennis table.

jiajun's was four minutes after that:
yo st! happy birthday! all the best for next year, and have a great time tomorrow yea? bye! :)

so i texted jj back and said he was a cutie while texting matthew back while texting nureen about the table tennis table.

at 12.21am, vanessa texted:
happy birthday :)

so i texted vv back saying thanks while texting jj back replying that i wasnt chio while texting matthew back while texting nureen about the table tennis table.

and i received vanessa's e-card at 12.45:

in the morning i checked my inbox again.

wendy texted at 1.25am saying:
hey shi ting. i cant make it to your birthday party... my mum don really allow. so damn la. haiis. anyway, happy birthday and i wish your party a snashing success!

then on the way to sleppy platoon meeting, atiqah called to wish me a happy birthday and informed me that she couldnt some to my party.

shuangyu called me and i met her at the bus interchange waiting for yunqian. i sat down beside her and she wished me a happy birthday.

then we met our platoon mates at jurong east (where there were a lot of irritating people asking you to donate money for cancer patients or to do some survey) and we went to some place near some hdb blocks to paint the flag.

i was smsing benjamin as he was asking stuff about the party and he suddenly remembered at 12.28pm:
yea. oh shyt.i 4got. HAPPY BDAE mei. mwah!

and beatrice texted at 12.37pm:
eh, me and wendy cannot go leh.. cuz she grounded then i not going cuz she not going :( sorry. anyway. happy birthday!

but i kinda persuaded her and she went in the end. wahaha, im good.

amalina came late and wished me a happy birthday too.

we sat around the flag discussing the colours before painting. i just sat there, being an extra watching them paint. they are so evil to have a platoon meeting on my birthday.

that jian he guy brought a laptop (AHH I WANT ONE) and that aung htet guy typed the script for the campfire performance that he came up with as his handwriting was.. difficult to decipher. then he let us read.

wenxi texted at 1.09pm saying:
happy birthday... may all your birthday wishes come true.

i was feeling very urgent and needed to pee so when me, shuangyu, amalina, and yunqian left early at 2pm, me and fish ran to the bus interchange and i rushed to the loo.

we ate lunch at long john and then went to westmall's green adventure to buy camp stuff. then i rushed back home as there was not enough time to prepare for the party.

and the party was a disappointment so im not going to think much about it because it sucked and it was my worst party ever when i thought it would be the best because it was the first time 20 people (beatrice, nureen, shuangyu, chrystabel, melina, yiting, xueli, jingyi, peijun, denise, vanessa, debby, yunqian, shiya, kuankeong, jiajun, mingshen, paul, benjamin, weijie, thanks for coming) came and the first time i celebrated on 13th dec itself, but the stupid weather was so unforgiving because it just had to rain.

i shall tell you the summary of the party in a robotic fashion. reached home and bathed after meeting. went down with jie to do water bombs. brought kk and nureen into the condo. feared that it would rain. brought jj paul and melina in next. they went to the table tennis table to play. it rained so i brought melina and nureen to my house as the guys still want to play. went with nureen and meet vanessa and xueli and benjamin and matthew at cck mrt station. peijun and denise came. then beatrice. then jingyi and shuangyu and yunqian. brought them all to my house. let jingyi use the computer as she needed to do something and her computer at home is spoilt. brought down food to start fire as it was drizzling. debby called and i went to meet her and yiting and chrystabel at the gate and brought them to my house also. then shiya called and i went to meet her at cck mrt. she said she saw some of my class guys so i called the monkeyboy to meet him and anna then we went back to my house. brought down more food and everyone went down to the bbq pit. was supposed to do water bombs secretly but my friends wanted to make too. was also supposed to have started the fire and cooked food already before anyone came as the guests were not supposed to help much except to help eat and play and interact but the rain prevented us from doing so. everything was not going the way it should be. meanwhile, the guys were still playing table tennis as the extended the time until 7pm. luckily i had mother to order cooked otah and satay and nuggets. it rained more again and some people went to one side of the swimming pool which had shelter and was supposed to be used for people who were swimming to put their belongings there, and some other people went to the shelter on the other side. so i changed my job to a free labour waitress and had to serve both sides using an umbrella and covering food with aluminium foil. the st john people jumped into the pool and were swimming here and there. then jie boasted to me that she and kk trashed the others in table tennis. after a while she decided that this couldnt go on so she started the games by asking all of us to gather and play charades but the anti social boys ran away to block 71 as they wanted to ruin my party so only the girls played. then the st john people came to my house and used my towels to dry themselves and change clothes in my toilet, and after a while weijie and mingshen came up also dont know why and we all watched disney channel's the american dragon and vanessa and xueli also came up and i was thinking, wah everyone want to go home is it come down and take their bags or what. but actually vanessa came up to get her camera or something so i went down with them and we started the water bombing. then we went after the boys who took their bags and looked like they were leaving without telling me or anything and i had a direct hit on jiajun and benjamin. then the guys left rudely which was just as well because if they wanted to just come here and sit down and talk and be served with bbq food and just play table tennis, they can go to a COUNTRY CLUB. loads and loads of people were leaving which i just do not understand because my party starts at six pm, and dont tell me a party just lasts for only 2-3 hours. also, during my primary 4 bbq party my friends left around 10 to 11 pm, so i do not see why at 14 years of age, they have to leave earlier than 10 year olds. plus, they live nearer to cck, not like my friends from nan hua, who lived in the west or all over singapore. so in the end we did not get to play treasure hunt which was planned and all the other games we could enjoy. we cleaned up and slowly everything was cleared. then i felt like shit so i cried. everyone went back except melina, who stayed to chat with me and my sister. then she left and we went back home and i opened my presents because there couldnt be a present opening session.

i am super glad i did not take any photos during my party cause it sucked and there wasnt an opportunity to because i was so busy. was also scared that camera could get wet anyway.

my mother just showed me my baby book! haha so funny. i was born at 12.48am, 13 december, and my name is supposed to mean mei2 hao3.

she also showed me my kindergarten photo from church of the holy cross playcenter. spotted allen and francis, the guys who went on to nan hua pri and were my p1 and p2 classmates. allen went to bukit view and joined st john and jy and sy who were from the same platoon as him last year during basic NCO said that he's an ah beng. lols. and francis was in the same platoon as me during p6 camp, and we both left early and missed area cleaning because of piano exams. i remember we were both told to read out stuff for some performance while holding a thick and small bible during k2 or something because the principal claimed that i was good in english. and i saw daryl! i didnt know he was from the same kindergarten as me! in fact, i only knew he was my p5 and p6 classmate until my mother told me he was my neighbour last time before we shifted. he looked so cute in that photo. and i spotted beatrice!! ahahah. she looked sooo cute last time with two ponytails and i can remember her always sitting at the back of the school bus chit chatting with her friends.

haha okay. stop indulging in reminiscence. i have to go pack my camp bag!

in case you're wondering, i will have advance nco camp on the 15-17 dec, which is tomorrow. i will have to wake up at 5am to meet the others at 6 and we will set off to reach there in time at 7. oh my gosh. will be dimissed on sunday, about 5pm. scared leh. tomorrow i platoon I/C! ahhhh. but after this no more advance. only passing out parade lah, which doesnt really count.
