thankfully, we did not need to run 2.4km. probably because it rained or something. anyway, we just completed the other stations for the NAPFA test, shuttle run and sit ups.
had st. john training! had to key in the attendance of all st. john members into the system using Ms Ng's laptop, and trust me, it is NO JOKE. we've had 19 training sessions in term one alone due to the first aid competition. was doing this at the back of the st john classroom, as the sec ones had their first aid lesson.
managed to persuade her to put cassandra's attendance as zero upon zero. she initially wanted her to do detention for all the training sessons she had missed, but i tried to find reasons and told her that she might have thought that since she passed out last year already, she need not come for training.
it didn't work. so i tried another; that she would feel awkward to come as she will be the only sec 5 and all the other people in her batch had already graduated. i forgot what else i said, but well, Miss Ng gave in, and her attendance record was unaffected.
i was finally done with it and guess what? Ms Ng pressed 'submit' and the page said that it could not be refreshed or whatever. like, oh my gosh. i had to redo everything all over again!
i was almost done when we had to change to full uniform for AAC. so i rushed to the toilet - only to find that the sec twos and threes had occupied all the cubicles - and i had no choice but to change in the last cubicle with all the cleaning supplies for cleaners to clean the toilet, by pressing one knee against the door.
rushed back and completed doing my job. by then, i had the others to help me carry my bag to the PE store. thanks yah? then i realised that the attendance clipboards were with me, and i have no idea what to do with them since everybody was already headed towards the PE store! so i asked Ms Ng to help me keep it in the staffroom temporarily.
had a rehearsal before the actual AAC parade. everyone was so high before the parade, and i had no idea why. i mean, it is just a parade which we have every single year, which seems to have no point. but it was different this year as we were surrounded by the students watching the parade from the second level.
after the parade, we collected our bags from the tutorial room and proceeded to the hall. the ceremony was quite boring, especially Mrs Kee's long speech. okay, let's give her some credit; it actually started off to be quite enlightening but it was just too long and i became restless. the video was a bit interesting at first, with all the effects photos, but nuren and i didn't get a good view.
award presentation! our class stood up and cheered for many of our classmates who received prizes for doing a good job in their CCA. these people were kenneth, leongyew, suhailah, brenda and melina. vanessa received an award too, but she was one of the first few to go up on stage and we weren't prepared to stand together. hahaha. not forgetting, of course, to cheer for JACK our dear headprefect!
changed out of my full u and went home with mei rong and shiya via shiya's dad's lorry! hahaha. it was so fun to sit at the back, with the wind blowing in our hair. shouted 'BYE!' as we drove past nigou and yunqian. they dropped me off first. thanks for the ride!
oh yah, as we walked out of the school gate, ma xin asked me in her china accent, "ni3 bu2 shi4 na4 ge4 paul de4 nu3 peng2 you3 ma1?"

after tuition, i went to eat lunch! this is rare because normally, i'd skip lunch and go straight to jurong subcentre for FAC training. however, this was an unusual day as my stomach couldn't take it and started growling in the middle of the lesson.
had lunch with paulpaul, then shiya and yunqian called me. they asked me to wait for them as they come back from headquarters after they have seen zone 5's first aid competition. went to the library and borrowed a book so that i didn't waste my time waiting.
they arrived with nigou (expected!) but without the boys. we were walking to subcentre when they realised that it would be weird to return without the ambulance team, so we decided to wait for them. after a while, junyan, jiazhe and dennis came and we continued going to subcentre.
we reached around 4.30pm, thinking that the ambulance team still had half an hour to train. however, shiya opened the door and found the nursing cadets inside the room listening to the trainers talk, and they were shortly dismissed after that.
anyway, i just checked that attendance was taken and left. yunqian was pissed, obviously. she stalked off in a huff, and we were unable to keep up with her. saw her ranting to the person who was on the phone with her. dennis complained that he wasted 40cents.
shiya and i walked back to the traffic light. junyan said that he should've returned me my piano books today, but i said that my tuition bag was heavy. he went to see for himself by carrying it and jiazhe commented that junyan should help "carry my bag" as that is "what boyfriends do". LOL! junyan threw a fake punch at him and shiya said that "somebody would get jealous" jiazhe was like, "oh is it that guy just now?" and i was all "wah lau!"
jiazhe walked to the library in a different direction while junyan walked with us to the bus interchange. called nigou to ask where they were, as yunqian was probably going to find them. the answer? arcade. should've guessed. dennis followed us up the escalator at jurong entertainment, claiming to want to enjoy the air con first, before going to the library. he disappeared soon after.
the guys were busy playing, so yunqian, shiya and i entertained ourselves by playing the 'spot the difference' game!
ranked number 6 leh! lol.
ranked number 7 for the second version of the game.bought atiqah's adidas bag at IMM! searched high and low of a proper wrapping paper for the bag and a suitable birthday card.
we found this blue, bulldog cartoon card! yunqian was so delighted to have found this that she had to take a photo of the card with paul! she also pointed out that it was so coincidental that he happened to wear a blue shirt as well. hahaha.
went into many other shops too! the two guys mostly just waited for us outside. haha. finally went to eat at banquet. had fish and chips; i guess the serving was too much as after eating everything, i felt like vomiting.
bus 188 arrived just as we approached the bus stop. was too engrossed in reading my library book that it was only as the bus was turning into choa chu kang interchange when i looked up, to realise that i was the third last person in the bus.
was feeling a bit depressed after that, and trudged home slowly. looked up to the dark sky and saw a single star, shining brightly. it reminded me of how the sky in Brunei was different, how seemingly pitch black it was at temburong jungle, without the moon in sight, much less a star.
