just read today's today and ST's home. articles about letting GEP students mix with mainstream students in schools like nan hua primary. its called the twinning programme and the students are put into integrated classes. blahblah.
the only thing i disagree with is that in the straits times, it says that GEP students are ostracized by non-GEP students.
funny. i always thought it was the other way round. that GEP students were snobbish.
but they took long enough to realise that something was wrong and make some changes in the education system. i mean, what's the point in sorting us into streams like this gifted programme, or even EM1 and EM2. it only prevents us from interacting, especially those who don't have CCAs. and these people who are being labelled are only ten year olds.
it also only makes us, these "normal" and "ordinary" students, feel less smart in subjects like english, math and science. do they even consider people gifted in music or art to be in the gifted programme?
jeez. isn't it a bit too late to start this twinning programme thing? my sister certainly thinks so.
that aside, i shopped at causeway point and lot 1 today. bought some stuffs, along with a new black and white top :)
