having two tests in a row without knowing how to answer the questions, makes me feel really stupid.
plus i actually studied for chemistry! wah lau wah lau :(
010208, FRIDAY
the first thing that happened to me this morning was pretty amusing.
during the chinese reading period, mdm yeo had set up her laptop and was all ready for our first collection of the jogathon donation card thing which was to help raise funds for the new school building which we weren't going to use. so she asked the people in the first row to come out.
and there was a short moment of silence before we burst into laughter.
i stood up after she called for the second row, and as i walked to the teacher's desk, some guys were cheering, 'go shi ting!', so i handed the fifty dollar note to mdm yeo and she keyed it in while mr latiff looked at my card.
after the collection, mdm yeo announced that 4E2 has collected a total of $76!
the guys were like, "wow so much ah?"
hahaha. what a pathetic amount. it made my $50 seem like a huge deal. my friends who were seated near by started asking me who was the one who donated that fifty dollars. even mdm yeo came to ask me when i was pretending to read the chinese newspapers.
i guess you can consider peer tutoring to be pretty useful today. after doing a few questions, i think i got the hang of it and managed to do the last question myself, using st john training as a form of motivation to get it done and over with. haha. of course we had the help of the crappy headprefect, cracking the coldest jokes even while it was raining outside.
recreation! got to know the sec ones today. hahaha. had some ice breaker games before proceeding to play captain's ball. even though the ball accidentally hit my right ear, but it only hurt for a while and i had fun pretending to be deaf anyway. i just kept saying "huh?" whenever junyan talked to me. hahaha.
020208, SATURDAY
went for my first tuition lesson at woodlands regional library!
okay, so i couldn't find the room at first, then i went out and stood at the glass doors, looking at the counter thinking that it should be some place noticeable from that angle. and true enough, the room was jut right next to the counter, and also next to the toilets.
i went in and the place was just as i predicted how it would look like- a meeting room. i like, i like. said hi to my tuition teacher and took a seat. we had a nice chat while waiting for the other student to arrive before she started on the lesson.
headed straight to jurong subcentre after that. haha. donated 5o cents to divya's tin. yeap, i got to skip flag day! i didnt want to, actually. i kinda like fundraising stuff.
040208, MONDAY
okay, so i went to school feeling very guilty for not finishing toh's exposition, but since i didnt have the mood to write about how teenage years are not the best years of our lives, i had finished my chinese homework on sunday instead.
and mdm shi xu didn't bother to check our workbook today. bah.
so mrs toh is going to deduct 5 marks from my exposition. well, at least cecilia didnt hand in either, or i'd be the one and only who didnt finish my essay.
and besides, i'm used to her deducting marks off my compositions for handing up late. once she gave me 26 marks for my situational writing, then cancelled it and wrote 24 and then wrote another minus 2, leaving me with only 22 marks. then she went on to photostat it and distribute it to the class.
yet there was another time when i handed up my exposition late, the one about youths being spoilt and materialistic, but she didn't deduct any marks and gave me 24 out of 30.
we had our first literature class test today, but the guys wasted twenty minutes because mr latiff wrote the f word on the board.
mind you, it was actually part of the question, as it was from a sentence quoted from Off Centre. they asked if they could choose not to write that word down and even after they had stopped making a fuss over the f word, they started talking crap which made me wonder if we were actually have a test or not. hahaha.

visited my relatives on my dad's side.
just went to 3rd gu gu's house. had dinner, got ang paos from countless people, watched harry potter and the sorcerers stone on channel five for the umpteenth time. luckily i had marcus to talk to via sms, or i'd be bored to death! :(
080208, FRIDAY
visited my ah ma and ah gong and other relatives on my mother's side.
ah gong doesn't talk much and ah ma said my eyes were big or nice or something. i forgot. they were all speaking in hokkien which i understand but i cant speak in full sentences. anyway, my mother was also talking to ah ma and my aunt about my OBBD trip, and my aunt said something like, wah! can't tell that she this kind like so gentle will go for this kind of thing. LOL.
then dad drove us to my uncle's house. there were other teenagers there. this girl from CJC was my aunt's god daughter or something. there was another girl from HCJC and this guy from Ngee Ann Poly. that guy is taking the nursing course, and he says that he's the only guy in his class. hahaha.
again, i dont know why, i was forced by my sister to talk about my OBBD trip. especially the funny way of speaking in english, and the 'hey, you know, __ likes you' thing. my parents didn't want to stay for dinner even though they said it was okay. that CJC girl was disappointed as she wanted to talk to my sister more. we ended up eating at some hawker centre which had a lot of stalls closed, so we really didn't have much of a choice on what to eat.
